00:00The theme is public bathrooms, so public bathrooms could also be a great opportunity to re-qualify public space.
00:14So public space, which at the moment does not have this service, could also be somehow re-qualified by the bathroom system,
00:25which must become design objects and therefore sustainable, as today architecture has this task of being sustainable,
00:38sustainable in materials, but also sustainable in the insertion of the city.
00:44And then another interesting thing is that sustainability in some cities is also given by the fact that existing areas could be re-qualified.
00:52We said there are underpasses, areas that could be in the city that could be very suitable for this reorganization of public baths.
01:06Inclusivity means, for example, having public baths also in areas, as in the past there were day baths, with showers and spaces,
01:17also for those who probably do not have a bathroom at home, because they do not even have a house,
01:24and also have the possibility of having, I don't know, a barber, a shower and cleaning activity.
01:32So I think that this issue of bathrooms is part of a broader organization of public space and therefore of the tasks of the public,
01:44which, however, also through the introduction of private funds, could provide a service to the city and therefore make the city more accessible and more inclusive.
01:57In Rome, I would say, to make a joke, since we are in Rome, since Rome in ancient times also always had this possibility of having public baths,
02:09large places of public space and therefore of the care of the body, it could reuse a whole series of spaces,
02:18not, in short, today abandoned, closed, which, for example, all underpasses come to mind, there are many among other things in the city,
02:28which can become, can re-qualify and become, let's say, be at the service of this theme.
