00:00Good afternoon, this is the latest weather forecast for Wednesday, the 4th day of December, 2024.

00:10At present, the shear line is still affecting the northern part of the city.

00:17This shear line is the result of cold wind from the northeast and hot wind from the east.

00:24The area where they converge is the area where it rains.

00:29Meanwhile, the effect of the northeast monsoon continues in the extreme northern Luzon.

00:35And the northeast monsoon is the one that brings heavy rainfall with weak rainfall in Batanes.

00:42The shear line will also bring heavy rainfall and heavy snowfall in the areas of Cordillera Administrative Region,

00:51Ilocos Norte, Ilocos Sur, and the southern part of Cagayan Valley.

01:05The weather is better in Metro Manila and other parts of the country where it is partly cloudy to cloudy skies,

01:12a condition that we expect that there are chances of localized thunderstorms.

01:17Our colleagues in the Regional Services Division will continue to issue thunderstorm advisory,

01:22rainfall advisory, or heavy rainfall warning if necessary.

01:27At the moment, we do not monitor low-pressure areas or thunderstorms inside or near our Philippine Area of Responsibility.

01:36We are also issuing weather advisory.

01:39And now, our latest update, heavy to intense rains possible in Cagayan.

01:45So heavy to intense, 100 to 200 millimeters of rain.

01:49So we expect numerous flooding events, likely especially in areas that are urbanized, low-lying, or near river channels.

01:57So the landslides are possible in moderate to highly susceptible areas.

02:02Moderate to heavy rain, 50 to 100 millimeters of rain we expect now until tomorrow afternoon in Apayaw and also in Maycalinga.

02:12If the rains are moderate to heavy, we expect localized flooding possible mainly in areas that are urbanized, low-lying, or near river,

02:23and the landslides are possible in highly susceptible areas.

02:28Tomorrow afternoon until Friday afternoon, we expect moderate to heavy rains possible only in Maycagayan area.
