00:00Congressmen believe that the Philippine Statistics Authority released a strong evidence report

00:08to say that there is an irregularity in the use of confidential funds of the Office of the Vice President.

00:14According to the PSA, there is no Mary Grace Piatos in the country,

00:19even though she is one of the signatories of the OVP's acknowledged receipt in the Commission on Audit.

00:26This is what Mela Lasmora wrote.

00:30There is no one named Mary Grace Piatos in the country.

00:34This is based on the record of the Philippine Statistics Authority

00:37that they submitted to the House Committee on Good Government and Public Accountability.

00:42According to the PSA, there is no birth certificate, marriage certificate, or death certificate in the country

00:48named after Mary Grace Piatos.

00:51It should be noted to those who listened to the Good Government Panel

00:54that Piatos is one of the recipients of the confidential funds of the Office of the Vice President.

01:01That's why the committee asked the PSA if this person really exists,

01:05especially since she is just a recipient of the famous Chichiria and Restaurant brand.

01:11For some lawmakers, this proves that there is an irregularity in the use of funds of the OVP.

01:18Finally, it is clear that there is no such person.

01:21What does this show?

01:23Officials in the OVP, led by none other than Sara Duterte,

01:28invented receipts to defend the incorrect use of confidential funds.

01:40If there is a mistake in one, it gives us reason to also anticipate that others are also spurious.

01:49And if this is spurious on a large scale, we might reach a technical malversation.

01:56According to Good Government Committee Chair Joel Chua,

01:59they will use the PSA's report in their next steps.
