00:00The Office of Civil Defense called on the public to be alert to the effects of the shear line.
00:05According to Civil Defense Administrator Undersecretary Ariel Nepomuceno,
00:09the so-called weather system is the reason for heavy rain and flooding in some parts of Luzon
00:15and Visayas, which could also be affected,
00:18just like what happened in January 2023, where more than 40 were affected.
00:23So the official is determined to listen to the warnings of Pag-asa, MGB, NDRRMC,
00:29and other government agencies.
00:31Nepomuceno added,
00:32our safety lies in our cooperation and alertness.
00:37According to the DSWD,
00:39more than 55,000 individuals were affected by the shear line.
