00:00A whole bunch of dogs just started chasing our van.
00:03Oh, come here.

00:07And following us down to the beach
00:09where we were camping for the night.
00:11Oh, we got so many babies right here.
00:13It's a mixture of two moms and a bunch of smaller puppy dogs.
00:18They were incredibly thirsty, incredibly hungry.
00:21They just obviously were not being taken care of.
00:24Oh, your belly's so huge.
00:26We stayed for several days, fed them for several days.
00:31You coming with me, girl?
00:33Yeah, I'm taking you.

00:37We ended up putting the dogs in the back of my van
00:41that I live in.
00:42With the pocket door locked and closed
00:43because I got a van full of dogs.
00:46Yes.
00:47And then those dogs were transferred
00:49into San Diego that night.

00:53The babies coming soon, maybe?
00:55And that night, the two moms finally
00:58felt safe and comfortable and were
01:00able to give birth to two healthy litters
01:02of 20 puppies in total.

01:18We were able to do a reunion with the beach dogs last year.
01:24And we saw all of Lucy and Star's puppies.

01:33We saw these dogs at their lowest point.
01:36This dog has everything now.
01:37That is what makes it all worth it.
