00:00I had never seen three dogs so shut down.
00:03I don't think he's been up there somewhere, huh?
00:07I was going through a breakup of 10 years.
00:11I had reached out to this rescue, and they said,
00:13actually, there are three puppies that need to get out of the shelter immediately.
00:18Said by tomorrow at 3 p.m., they're all three going to be euthanized.
00:23Everything inside of me was like, I need to go get these dogs.
00:27At that point, like, I've got my work cut out for me.
00:31You're so close. You're so close.
00:35Come on, boo. Come on. You've got to come out.
00:39It's okay. I don't think we're going to make it out today, but we're just taking baby steps.
00:44This is how we go up the stairs every day. Oh, my God.
00:47I was holding him, and he wouldn't let me put him down.
00:50That's when I realized Nash was going to be mine.
00:54And then we started the process of healing.
00:57It's okay. Look. It's okay.
00:59Novo came out first, and then Noah.
01:02Nash started following Sue a little bit behind his brothers.
01:06One of the hardest days is when I actually tried to take them outside.
01:13Oh, my God. This kid is like 45 pounds.
01:17Noah and Novo ended up finding the most beautiful homes.
01:22Once they were adopted, then it was just Nash and I, and it was like a new wave of sadness.
01:27He just didn't understand now, we're safe, but yet, where did my brothers go?
01:32That's when I was like, I've got to start taking Nash on little trips with me,
01:36get him to see the outside world and see that it's not so scary.
01:44He just came out of his shell.
01:47He healed a part of me.
01:49I think that I healed a part of him, and we were able to live again.
01:53Fast forward to today, he's my number one adventure buddy.
01:56He absolutely loves going on trips.
01:58He plays every single day with his big sister Lou, my shepherd.
02:03Honey, are you comfy?
02:06Hi, Lulu.
02:08Oh, that was a good one.
