00:00President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. was the first to inaugurate a large flower mill in Sariaya, Quezon.

00:06According to the President, this will help to increase food security in the country.

00:11Details on this were reported by Kenneth Paciente of PTV Manila.

00:20Food security in the country will be strengthened

00:23following the inauguration of a large flower mill in Sariaya, Quezon

00:26led by President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr.

00:29The Universal Robina Corporation's flower mill covers an area of 10 hectares.

00:33It is expected to produce 1,320 tons of flour per day.

00:39If the products from this flower mill are combined

00:43and the other two from Manila and Davao,

00:45the company will produce 3,470 tons of flour per day,

00:51which is equivalent to 104,000 bags.

00:53According to the President, this will meet the country's large demand.

00:57At the same time, the economy will prosper,

01:00especially since it will create job opportunities in the region.

01:03In a time when every grain counts,

01:05this establishment will aid in ensuring that our people have the resources they need

01:11to nourish themselves and the future of our nation.

01:15With this new plan, the URC has positioned itself as a key player

01:20in our nation's food security,

01:22driving economic stability and innovation.

01:25The President appointed this facility

01:28as part of the government's vision for a stable and sustainable flour production in the country.

01:33He also recognized the responsibility of the private sector

01:36as a body of the government in implementing these initiatives,

01:39especially food security.

01:41And he assured that the government will continue to support

01:44the local manufacturers and producers.

01:48This administration acknowledges the critical role you play

01:52in advancing our socio-economic growth,

01:55boosting farm productivity, supporting MSMEs,

01:59and ensuring the food security of our nation.

02:02We will continue to create a supportive environment

02:06for our partners in the private sector

02:09through laws and agreements that promote the interests

02:12of both manufacturers and consumers alike.

02:15According to the URC, this will only show their confidence

02:19in investing in the country

02:22because of the reliable economic environment under the Marcos Jr. administration.

02:26This 5.4 billion peso investment is an affirmation of our confidence in our economy

02:34and the conducive investment climate created in our country by our dear President.

02:41It's also a concrete manifestation of our steadfast support

02:45to improving our nation's food securities,

02:48fully aligning to the priorities of His Excellency President Ferdinand Marcos Jr.

02:53This is the so-called biggest flour plant of the so-called private food and beverage firm

02:58that uses state-of-the-art automated technology.
