You know, if you allow someone to abuse you, it’s never because you love them, it’s because you are failing to love them.
Love doesn’t tolerate abuse because abuse destroys the abuser. So, this person you say you love is destroying their own life while they are hurting you and other people. If you love them, you are the first one to confront them and tell them the abuse has got to stop. And if they refuse to stop, you are not the last to go, you are the first to go because you are not going to volunteer for their mission to destroy their life.
Trust God’s Word no matter what, because His word is truth.
