00:00Let's talk about the NFL regular season MVP. We seem to visit this each and every week.
00:09And then we say, when we come back next week, if this happens, the numbers will be this
00:13and guess what they are. So let's start here at the top. And the obvious name is Josh Allen,
00:18the dragon slayer plus one 15. Take it away, Joe. Yeah. Uh, Josh Allen at the top of the
00:23board of plus one 15 to Lamar Jackson at plus 200. Now after that loss last week, a tough
00:29game. And look, the Pittsburgh Steelers always give Lamar a hard time. I mean, that's just
00:33historically been the case. They've been that one team that have really, it's like the worst
00:36boss possible scenario at the timing there for Lamar Jackson. So he's not done for this award.
00:41Statistically speaking, he's been better than Josh Allen. I mean, there's no other way to put it.
00:45However, Josh Allen has the narrative, which is a, he hasn't won this award yet.
00:49B he's doing the most that he's done with the least around him. And that typically is the
00:55strongest narrative for MVP. It's one of the reasons, you know, why Patrick Holmes right now
01:01has fallen all the way to plus 1300. Now, Jared Goff has done a lot, uh, good stats, dominant team,
01:08but at the same time, he doesn't have a lot of help around him. And I think that is the way the
01:13media looks at it. It was like, well, could you take Jared Goff away and put what would Josh Allen
01:19look like with the Detroit lions? Right. So historically good. Right. So I think that's what
01:24hurts Jared Goff, even though you're seeing him climb up the board. I think the Jalen hurts one
01:28to plus 1700 is still really fascinating to me. Jalen hurts, keeps breaking records every single
01:32week and what he's done, but nobody seems to care about it, but me and Jalen hurts, I think is going
01:37to continue to shrink in terms of his number. I think he's going to leapfrog my homes. And I think
01:41you're going to see him as number three on this board as they continue to rile off wins, because
01:44I think that the one contender out there in the NFC, this legitimate is the Philadelphia Eagles.
01:49The way this defense has been playing the last five weeks or so this young defense has really
01:54figured things out here. And the Vic Fangio defense is a little bit more complex. So it
01:58takes a lot of time and people forget, you know, they drafted all these kids from Georgia over the
02:02last couple of years, but they're still young. So inexperienced. So it's taken a while, but the
02:06defense has been really good. Saquon has been great, but Jalen hurts again, continues to,
02:12you know, elevate his play. And I don't think we talk about it enough. It feels like Josh Allen's
02:17moment. It just, again, it's a media award. It's a narrative driven award. And he has so far the
02:24best narrative. Now he hasn't had a lot of competition in that division. That's the one
02:28thing that works against him. It's not like the dolphins or Patriots or jets have put up any kind
02:32of fight in that division. However, sometimes there's also fatigue and you and I both know this
02:38too. Well, we vote for Patrick Maldon's every year. We vote for Lamar every year, maybe Josh
02:43Allen. It's maybe it's his turn to win this award.
