00:00So let's start with the New York Jets here, regular season win total over seven and a
00:07half is gets you plus 140 under seven and a half gets you a minus 172 so the book is
00:12leaning that way.
00:13But this number has changed since this most recent performance and Joe, you have a theory
00:17talk to us.
00:18Yeah, look, this was six and a half before the Houston game and then after the Houston
00:22game, it went to seven and a half, which Okay, that makes sense.
00:26But the juice didn't change, which I also thought was kind of interesting.
00:28You just got to stay at exactly where it was.
00:31So it still feels like they're pretty confident that the Jets are an under and I am too and
00:36it's really intriguing because they want to kind of loop you in that plus 140 as you start
00:40to look at the schedule, the schedule remaining for the New York Jets, they play at Arizona.
00:44I don't think that's a gimme game by any stretch.
00:46They play the Indianapolis Colts, then at home, then they have a by now the Colts with
00:50Joe Flacco, very different offense you have to contend with, I think.
00:55After the by they play Seattle, winnable game in theory, then they have Miami in Miami
01:00at Jacksonville, the Rams, Buffalo and Miami again.
01:03So it's possible that they could get near this mark.
01:07But I think we also have to take with a grain of salt what we saw on Thursday night, which
01:12was the first half of this game.
01:14They were chanting, sell the team, sell the team.
01:18Now they play the Houston Texans without Nico Collins and Stefan Diggs on a short week going
01:24on the road.
01:25And they snuck out a victory.
01:26They had one of the great catches we were going to see all year from Garrett Wilson
01:29to score a touchdown.
01:31And we saw a couple of miscues by the Texans defense and by their kicking game as well
01:37with that missed field goal, that chip shot there, where this game kind of just got away
01:42from the Texans in the second half.
01:44So before we go anointing, the Jets is, oh my God, they're back in at plus 140, give
01:49me the eight win Jets.
01:51I don't know if I'm there yet.
01:53And I don't think anybody should be either.
01:54I think Vegas is telling you something very strong, which is this is still not a very
01:57good team.
01:59And if you're going to keep betting them, you better be careful.
02:02Now I know there were favorites going into this game on Thursday night, and I understood
02:06why.
02:07I still thought it was wrong.
02:08And the Houston Texans certainly had their moments and opportunities to win this football
02:12game, and they did not take advantage of them.
02:14Now the Jets defense is still very good.
02:16Aaron Rodgers stats in the first half of the game were terrible.
02:18And I think he got saved by Garrett Wilson a lot in that game.
02:22There were some balls in that, in that contest.
02:24There were just Garrett Wilson made some plays.
02:26Let's be honest.
02:27And so did Devante Adams made some plays and Devante Adams to me watching him, it was hard
02:31to tell if he lost a step because the quarterback play was so bad and that offense was so disjointed
02:37in Vegas.
02:39But now you're seeing with the Jets and it does feel like Devante might've lost a step.
02:42So I'm just saying, take a look at this number.
02:44I bet the under, cause I just don't think they're going to have four more wins ahead
02:48of them.
02:49The other team too, that's got a really low number is the Carolina Panthers.
02:52Now I don't know how many more outs the Panthers have to win games.
02:56They are not in the best situation right now.
02:58The Carolina Panthers are sitting there as a one win team.
03:01I look at the rest of the schedule.
03:03I don't see where the three wins are.
03:04I don't see where it's coming from with Bryce Young playing quarterback, and that's probably
03:07what you're going to get.
03:08And then Bryce Young is going to go somewhere else.
03:09So the juice is really heavy again, but just something really intriguing the rest of the
03:14year too.
03:15Like this is a team that's going to have another number one pick probably or close to it.
03:19I mean, are they going to blow it for a third year in a row?
03:20It's very possible.
03:21Then we get to the MVP race.
03:23Now the MVP race right now is a stands Matt plus two 70 for Josh Allen.
03:27He's in the lead Lamar off that loss plus three 80, but Holmes has been perfect, but
03:30his stats have been less than perfect so far.
03:33Plus 500.
03:34Then there's Jared Goff who has played great these last few games.
03:38We just talked about him in the deep dive plus 600 and then Jalen hurts at 20 to one,
03:43which I think is really intriguing with the way they've played.
03:46Jaden Daniels has gotten into this conversation too.
03:49So at the halfway mark, what would you be wagering on in terms of the NFL MVP?
03:54Because it seems like it's still pretty wide open at this stage halfway through.
03:59It's a great question.
04:00And at this stage, I'm going to be looking and circling the Jared Goff number.
04:04I'm just going to look at what the schedule looks like.
04:06We talked about some of his stats earlier in our one of this show.
04:09So to me at this point, if I can return six to one, I'd like Jared Goff, but the chalkier
04:14play for me.
04:16You look at the most valuable player.
04:18Lamar Jackson is the most valuable player.
04:20Actually Derrick Henry is.
04:21Lamar Jackson is the most valuable player to his team.
04:23Josh Allen, Patrick Mahomes are in the same breath.
04:26But for me, Lamar Jackson is special, but I would pivot to Goff just trying to look
04:29for that plus number, Joe.
