00:00Welcome to Mojo Plays and today we're looking at the most bombastic memory sequences in
00:13Assassin's Creed games.
00:21Before we begin, we publish new content all week long, so be sure to subscribe and ring
00:26the bell to get notified about our latest videos.
00:30Memory Block 7 Assassin's Creed
00:33Oh, but you know him well.
00:35And I doubt very much you'd take his life as willingly as you've taken mine.
00:40After defeating Robert de Celave and revealing the Templar plot to kill King Richard III,
00:46Altair must investigate Di Stabla's claims that Al Mualim has been corrupted.
00:51Upon returning to Masyaf, he discovers his Assassin brothers are being manipulated.
00:55He fights his way through, and we get the mind-bending boss fight against Al Mualim
01:01himself, who has gone mad with power after getting his hands on the Apple of Eden.
01:11Though the boss fight is a little tedious, we can't fault the narrative weight of the
01:15last sequence in the game, as it reveals that the Apple is a piece of advanced technology
01:21and that this wasn't the straightforward historical romp we thought.
01:25Desmond returns to the present and finds Subject 16's gruesome messages, and the game ends.
01:32What a ride.
01:38Sequence 9 Assassin's Creed Unity
01:49While Unity's last sequence is also spectacular, covering the cult of the Supreme Being, the
01:55downfall of Robespierre, and the final boss fight against Jermaine, we're choosing an
02:00earlier sequence.
02:01In this one, Arno and Elise are in the throes of their alliance and opt to escape over the
02:06rooftops in a stolen hot air balloon.
02:17This chase combined with these two finally working together makes the sequence easily
02:22the most fun in the game, especially as Arno pursues Elise while she defends him from the
02:27rooftop snipers and they bicker.
02:29They top it all off with a night of passion, giving us hope, just for a moment, that maybe
02:35things will work out for these two.
02:49Sequence 6 Assassin's Creed Rogue
03:02We have another closing sequence here, when Shay and Haytham Kenway pursue Achilles Davenport
03:07and Liam O'Brien far north into the Arctic.
03:10The Arctic gets points for being one of the most unique settings in an Assassin's Creed
03:15game.
03:16Not only does this sequence have the dramatic chase into the Arctic Circle and a battle
03:20over another precursor artifact, not to mention Haytham brutally wounding Achilles as a warning
03:25to the Assassins, but we get the final corrupted memory.
03:38This is the memory that joins up with the opening of Assassin's Creed Unity, as Shay
03:42infiltrates for sales, encounters a young Arno and Elise, and then assassinates Charles
03:48Dorian, putting the events of the next game into motion.
04:00The Isle of Sky Arc Assassin's Creed Valhalla
04:13While the mythology games don't have the sequences like the older games do, Valhalla did include
04:18arcs.
04:20These were long storylines tied to Eivor forging alliances with specific regions.
04:25The most memorable for our money though wasn't even in the game at launch, but added later.
04:31Eivor heads to the Isle of Sky in Scotland and encounters Kassandra, the two have a brief
04:46fight before realizing they're not enemies at all, and then join forces.
04:51Kassandra even saves Eivor's life at one point, and this was a very fun way to catch
04:56up with our favorite Greek hero and see how the last 1500 years have been treating her.
05:14Assassin's Creed Syndicate
05:25Jacob finds out that the Templars are peddling something called Soothing Syrup to London's
05:30poor and decides to investigate, which miraculously leads him to befriending Charles Darwin.
05:36After he helps Darwin burn down the factory where it's being made, Jacob goes straight
05:41to the source, Dr. Eliotson in Lambeth Asylum.
05:55The Asylum assassination level is easily the most memorable in the whole game, even more
06:00than infiltrating Waterloo or the Bank of England.
06:04If you go the unique assassination route, Jacob takes the place of a cadaver and kills
06:09Eliotson in the middle of a lecture, making this sequence one of our all-time favorites.
06:22Sequence 9.
06:23Assassin's Creed III
06:31After spending years hunting Templars in the American colonies, Connor finally meets his
06:36father Hatham, and throughout sequence 9, the two of them begrudgingly work together
06:41to track down Benjamin Church.
06:44Players were certainly beginning to miss Hatham after spending so much time with him during
06:48the intro, so it was fun to reunite and see Connor learn about the Templars and what they
06:54really want.
07:01They have a lot of interesting conversations about how the Templars and Assassins have
07:05the same goals, but disagree on their methods.
07:09Hatham even joins Connor on a voyage south into the Caribbean to assassinate Church.
07:13It's a shame they couldn't put their differences aside permanently.
07:25Sequence 10.
07:26Assassin's Creed IV Black Flag
07:34Most of this sequence is concerned with Bartholomew Roberts, as Edwards strikes up an uneasy alliance
07:40with this notorious pirate to locate the Observatory.
07:43After doing Roberts' dirty work to find the blood vials they need, Roberts finally
07:48takes him to the Observatory on the northern coast of Jamaica, where he reveals the true
07:53nature of the treasure the Assassins and Templars are fighting over.
08:09The Observatory is an Isu temple containing a crystal skull, which Barth uses to track
08:14people across the globe via the samples of blood contained in the phylacteries.
08:19And of course, Barth betrays Edward and sets his downfall into motion.
08:23The rest of the game is spent tying up the loose ends from this memory sequence.
08:39Sequence 5.
08:40Assassin's Creed Brotherhood
08:48Ezio hunts down many targets in Rome, but few are as memorable as the Banker, the name
08:54given to Juan Borgia the Elder.
08:56He's just as corrupt as all the other Cardinals in Rome at this time, and Ezio needs to get
09:02creative when it comes to gaining access to him.
09:04In the first memorable moment, Ezio climbs into the Pantheon via a hole in the roof and
09:09disguises himself as a Borgia guard.
09:21He then needs to carry a chest of money through the city, guessing where to go based on the
09:26other guards' reactions.
09:28Finally, we have In-N-Out.
09:30Upon finding the Banker's location, Ezio needs to sneak into some ancient ruins and kill
09:35him in the middle of a debauched orgy.
09:46Sequence 8.
09:47The End of an Era Assassin's Creed Revelations
10:00The perennial black sheep of the franchise is Revelations, but it would be a mistake
10:05to overlook it since it has some of the most spectacular sequences in any AC game.
10:10The final act has the memorable mission in the underground city in Central Turkey, but
10:15even the chase while the city burns down isn't as exhilarating as the parachute sequence
10:20at the very end of the game.
10:29The game's villain, Prince Ahmet, kidnaps Ezio's latest love interest and eventual wife,
10:35Sofia Sartor.
10:37Ezio rescues her, but then his parachute ends up attached to the carriage she's driving,
10:41and he has to dodge buildings while assassinating enemies on horseback.
10:45It culminates in a clifftop boss battle, as Ezio and Ahmet battle while falling.
11:02Sequence 9.
11:03Carnival Assassin's Creed 2
11:17It's close between Sequence 9 and Sequence 14 for Assassin's Creed 2 as Ezio pursues Rodrigo
11:23Borgia to the Sistine Chapel, but we've gone for the former because you just can't beat
11:28seeing Venice during its world-famous carnival.
11:32The sequence begins with a dramatic mission in which a courtesan is murdered and Ezio
11:36pursues the killer, and then develops into Ezio attending the carnival to try and win
11:41a golden mask by competing in various challenges.
11:57Challenges aren't difficult, but it all adds to the immersion of the setting.
12:01We like this one even more than the previous sequence that ended with Ezio using Leonardo's
12:05flying machine to break into Dosha's palace.
12:22Let us know your favorite Assassin's Creed memory sequence in the comments.
12:26And tell us whether Ubisoft should bring them back.
