00:00Alright, Gator, here we go.
00:01Down in Dallas, Jerry World, it basically has a giant window, right, which allows sunlight
00:06to come into the stadium.
00:07He wanted to make an indoor stadium but feel outdoor.
00:10Well, it basically cost the Cowboys a touchdown last week.
00:13It wouldn't have mattered.
00:14They're getting killed anyways.
00:15But CeeDee Lamb basically said, yeah, the sun was in my eyes.
00:17I couldn't see the ball.
00:18He couldn't catch it.
00:19Couldn't score a touchdown.
00:21Jerry Jones defended this design by saying, hey, this should be an advantage for us.
00:25We're the home team.
00:26Do you agree with what he's saying?
00:27Is Jerry Jones right?
00:29He's not wrong.
00:30I mean, it's the truth.
00:31They're the ones that would see it every home game if it's sunny out.
00:35I mean, they understand that.
00:37However, it doesn't mean that you're immune to sunlight.
00:41It just means that you might be used to it and maybe have to adjust your game plan.
00:46It came and bit them.
00:47But look, the architecture of the previous Texas stadium that they had was innovative
00:54and cutting edge at the time and did the exact same thing.
00:57It was this like T top stadium that had bright spots on the field that were also distracting.
01:02And they're not alone.
01:03Minnesota and Indianapolis have the same issue when the sun comes through.
01:07So I don't know.
01:09It's interesting.
01:10And it caught it.
01:11It cost them a game.
01:12I would have expected Jerry to go the opposite way and say, we're going to start darkening
01:14them windows.
01:15You know, it doesn't give them any advantage.
01:18This is one of the most ridiculous things anyone's ever said.
01:22You can say we're used to it, but you can't control when your play and your player is
01:28looking into the sun.
01:29You can decide, okay.
01:30In the fourth quarter, we're going to go towards the sun.
01:33So our receivers aren't looking back into it, but then your defensive backs are when
01:37they turn, when the other teams go in the other direction, just get a curtain, man.
01:43And by the way, you're all in four at home, what are you talking about?
01:49It's an advantage.
01:50It's not an advantage.
01:51Oh, Jerry.
01:52So it's definitely not an advantage.
01:54And you're right, Doug, for this to be an actual advantage, you would need to build
01:58curtains and close them when you need to, and then open them up when it's, you know,
02:03in your advantage.
02:04The only way it's even possibly an advantage is if you pick the direction you're going
02:08in.
02:09But you have no control if you win the coin toss because the other team could do the same
02:12thing and pick the direction they're going in.
02:14So Jerry, it's not an advantage.
02:16Doug, you know this.
02:17When your eyes are completely dilated, you can't see, it doesn't matter, man.
02:22You can't make yourself immune to it.
02:23Like you said, Gator, it is.
02:24I mean, we're all, we all have the same eyes, it's the same sun here.
02:28It's not helping.
02:29We all turn into vampires.
02:30Yeah, exactly.
02:31Sorry, Jerry.
02:32Not an advantage.
02:33All right, Aaron Jones.
02:36He just told the media-
02:37Aaron Rogers.
02:38I'm Aaron Jones.
02:39Sorry.
02:40Aaron Rogers.
02:41There isn't Aaron Jones in the National Football League, though.
02:42But I am talking about Aaron Rogers.
02:43Aaron Rogers just told the media he would like to play again next year.
02:47Should the Jets actually try this one more time with Rogers or just eat the dead cat money
02:52for the next couple of years?
02:53It's dependent upon how the season finishes for them right now.
02:55They're outside the top five in the draft.
02:58I would wait to see where I'm drafting if I were running the Jets and if I were inside
03:02the top five and I had access to Shadur Sanders or Cam Ward, I would cut Rogers.
03:07I don't want him to be the veteran that is bringing along my young guy.
03:11I would sign a vet, a true pro, the kind of guy that would be happy to be having a starting
03:16job even if he was an Andy Dalton kind of player to come in and have my youngster learn
03:23behind so that that old guy could say, hey, while you're an up-and-comer and there's mold
03:30on your shower shoes, you're a slob.
03:32When you're a pro bowler, it means you have colorful, you're flavorful, you've got personality.
03:39But somebody that can teach the young kid and hold his hand, then that would not be
03:44Aaron Rogers.
03:45So if I'm drafting high, I would want that veteran that's a better leader than Aaron
03:51Rogers.
03:52I'd run it back.
03:53I mean, you went all in getting Devontae Adams and you've got other things there, the pieces
03:58you want to build on.
03:59They've got a good defense, another offseason.
04:01You might have a chance of making the playoffs again next year, run it back.
04:06I understand what you're saying with him not being the greatest mentor that's out there.
04:11But one thing I would do is I would draft the quarterback and I don't know, you could
04:16probably get a shot at Cam Ward in the top 10 if he's the second best quarterback.
04:22So many teams that are bad right now already have the quarterback.
04:25They're just bad teams and they need other pieces to make them better.
04:28So I don't think we're going to have a situation where there's like three quarterbacks in the
04:30first four picks.
04:32So take your chances there.
04:33And most importantly, do not let Aaron Rogers have any input whatsoever on what you're going
04:41to do on draft day.
04:43I understand the case for both sides, but as Gator once said, this just isn't working
04:48out.
04:49I mean, I think you got to eat the money.
04:51Maybe he is, you know, maybe if they build a better team around him, he could be like
04:56Sam Darnell was earlier this year or Baker Mayfield, you know, cause he is an older quarterback
04:59this point, but realistically he's probably Joe Flacco.
05:02I think you eat the money.
05:03It's really, it's not going to hurt too much next year.
05:07when it's like a $35 million, $1 million debt cap, but hopefully, hopefully you've, you've
05:11got a rookie quarterback on a cheaper deal at that point.
05:14But if it's my decision, I would eat the money and move on.
05:16I don't think they can win anything with Rogers as their quarterback.
05:20Okay.
05:21Debo Samuel had a confrontation with his kicker, Jake Moody and long snapper, Tabor Tabor pepper.
05:27It was all caught on camera.
05:29Do you have a, do you have a problem with what Samuel did on camera in front of everybody?
05:33Yeah.
05:34You don't, don't do it that demonstratively on the sideline during the game.
05:38If you've got a beef with the kicker, by the way, that should be handled in the locker
05:43room.
05:44It should not be handled in front of cameras and microphones, especially during the game.
05:48All right.
05:49What, what are you as a wide receiver going to tell the kicker that's going to change
05:52anything he does?
05:53All right.
05:54He's already, you don't think he knows he's had a bad day that he's missed a couple of
05:57field goals already.
05:58And he's, he's costing you out there.
05:59Of course he knows it.
06:01just so that you can feel better and beat a big man that you confront him on the sideline.
06:06And then it gets, you know, it ends up escalating into what it did.
06:10Everyone's talking about it.
06:11And then you look like an idiot instead of being a leader that you need to be.
06:15I have a problem with it.
06:16The only way I wouldn't have a problem with it is if Tabor pepper or, or Jake Moody or
06:21all the specialists while we're on the side, screwing around, not practicing art.
06:25And I haven't seen any indication that that's the case.
06:28Otherwise, quite frankly, you're not helping the situation.
06:32And this reminds me of people that like go to city council meetings and stand up at the
06:38podium and has their friends video them blasting city council so they can put it on Insta.
06:46Look how cool I like you're doing it.
06:48You're trying to impress people with, Hey, I will.
06:51I just want it more.
06:52And I don't, I have a problem with what Debo did.
06:54I don't think he should be doing that publicly.
06:56There's no point in doing it publicly.
06:57There's really no point in doing it.
06:58These guys know they, it was a bad day.
07:00Oh, I kind of disagree.
07:02I have a problem with getting, getting physical.
07:04You don't, you know, he didn't have to get physical with the guy and swipe at him or
07:07whatever, but I have no problem with him yelling at the kicker and the snapper saying lock
07:11in because I know kickers are a different breed and they're kind of on the sidelines
07:15a lot of times when the other players are doing their thing, but I feel like every player
07:18should be held accountable.
07:19And I've always thought this, how come no one's allowed to yell at the kicker ever?
07:25I just think it's okay to yell at them and cause they yell at their own teammates, whether
07:29it's defensive back or receiver or quarterback or your offensive lineman, everyone can get
07:33yelled at, but the kicker.
07:34So I don't like the part, like I said, where you got physical, but I don't mind him getting
07:38in his face and say, Hey man, you got to lock in.
07:39All right.
07:42Speaking of the Niners, are they a legit Superbowl contender?
07:45Now they have Christian McCaffrey back.
07:47Well, is Debo going to stop yelling at people and blaming others?
07:51Christian CMC came back, picked up where he left off.
07:54He averaged 21.2 touches per game last season and he debuted with 19 last week.
08:01Didn't really run it well, but was effective out of the backfield.
08:04Yeah.
08:05It's foolish to count them out something.
08:08There's an undercurrent of, of something being wrong there in San Francisco, not covering
08:13the team.
08:14I'm not really sure what it is, but I'm not counting them out.
08:17Yeah.
08:18I wouldn't count them on either.
08:19I think this is a team.
08:20It's just one of these classic look.
08:21We know how good we are when we need to win the games.
08:24We can win the games.
08:25We just have to get into the playoffs.
08:26Now maybe they're not going to be hosting playoff games this year and that'll be a shame
08:31for them.
08:32Although they can still have a chance if they win their division, but they're a good football
08:35team.
08:36They were a good football team before without Christian McCaffrey and they're a better football
08:40team with them, obviously.
08:42But Jordan Mason did a fantastic job running the football.
08:45The Niners as a team are averaging five yards per carry.
08:49I know he brings more.
08:50It's more in the receiving game, he averaged 11 yards, a catch on six receptions last week.
08:56So he does make a difference, but this team was good beforehand.
08:59They're going to be really good now that he's back.
09:01Yeah.
09:02I'm going to hold off on calling him a legit Superbowl contender right now.
09:04CMC has got to prove to me he is actually healthy, but they are very dangerous, clearly
09:09that, you know, even with losing Brandon Ayuk, they have a ton of weapons over there.
09:13But I go back to the injury factors, CMC just coming back, Diebold and Kittle seem to always
09:19be dinged up.
09:20And surprisingly, Arizona could be get in their way of they might have to win the division
09:25to make the playoffs to see how this thing plays out.
09:27Arizona's ahead of them right now, but it's all they're all compact together in that division.
09:31So not legit contender for me yet, but they are very dangerous.
09:35All right.
09:38Commanders versus Eagles, Ravens versus Steelers, Chiefs versus Bills.
09:42If you can only watch one game this week, which one would you choose?
09:46For me, it's it's commanders and Eagles.
09:48It's in conference.
09:50These are two exciting teams to watch.
09:51I like both quarterbacks.
09:52They're fun to watch what they can do.
09:55The defenses are aggressive and strong.
09:58Plus, when I look at the other games, I'm tired of chiefs, bills, tired of the buildup
10:04with it.
10:06Steelers and Ravens would have been my second choice, but it's the AFC because it's the
10:10NFC that that's going to reign supreme with me.
10:12Yeah.
10:13Quick answer for me here.
10:14It's the NFC game because it impacts us in the chase for the number one seed.
10:18Go foot commanders tonight against the Eagles.
10:20It's funny because that's my least favorite of these.
10:22I mean, I understand the conference angle with it, but I'm just looking at it as an
10:27excitement from a fan point of view.
10:28I'm not I'm going to I'm going to go with Chiefs, Bills.
10:30I'm not sick of it.
10:31I think this is like Mahomes Allen could be like Manning Brady.
10:34These two guys hopefully are going to be entertaining us for years to come.
10:38And I know it's in the AFC, but, you know, this is to me, the NFL is almost like one
10:42huge conference at this point because I watch so much crossover every week and all the channels
10:47are crossing over games and things like that.
10:50I love Lamar Jackson.
10:51Super exciting.
10:52And Commander's Eagles.
10:53The surprise of watching Jane Daniels do so good early is great, but I'm going to go with
10:57Chiefs Bills.
10:58All right, the Thanksgiving halftime performers were just announced.
11:05We announced them earlier this week, and it's usually always a musical artist of some sort.
11:10But guys, if you could pick having a great singing voice, playing one instrument great
11:15or being an unbelievable dancer, which skill would you choose?
11:19And by the way, you cannot become rich and famous from the skill.
11:22It's just something that you have for your own personal, you know, ability here, your
11:26own personal choice.
11:27OK, so so if money's not the motivation, what is motivating most guys?
11:33It's motivating you, Doug.
11:35What's getting you closer to or further from?
11:39This is often the motivation, guys.
11:42I'm not using that as my determining factor.
11:44Sounds like it.
11:45I'm going to go instrument, although I think that can be impressive, and I'm going to go
11:50acoustic guitar.
11:51I'm going to channel my inner Freddy Frito.
11:54Have you ever heard of Kent Nishimura?
11:59If you haven't, go to YouTube and type in Kent Nishimura and, you know, he is to guitar
12:06what Batman is to superheroes.
12:07He's unstinkable with a with a acoustic guitar.
12:11I want to be guys.
12:12So it's banging on the guitar and playing it in all different ways.
12:15He's a guy that plays five different guitars at once.
12:17Yeah.
12:18He plays twenty five or six to four.
12:19And it sounds like there's four guitars.
12:21He plays.
12:22I was on.
12:23Yeah.
12:24Tears for fears.
12:25Everybody wants to know.
12:26He's incredible.
12:27So I want to be that guy.
12:28I'll be that guy.
12:29Yeah.
12:30Well, I want to be Japanese.
12:31Listen, I I'm comfortable with my singing voice.
12:36I'm comfortable with my ability to dance.
12:37It's not great, but I.
12:38Chair dancing is good.
12:39Yeah.
12:40And it's not like I go out dancing.
12:42Right.
12:43So it's for me.
12:44You know what it's going to be?
12:45It's going to be playing guitar.
12:46It's going to be playing electric guitar.
12:47Those guys get the chicks.
12:49And if I could play really, really well, that'd be really, really awesome.
12:53So my thought was like, I really broke this down, like how many different situations scenarios
12:58could you actually use this skill set that you choose right for singing?
13:01Do I have to be a karaoke bar?
13:02Do I just break out and song out of nowhere?
13:04You know, or for an instrument, do I just carry my guitar around with me at all times
13:08in case someone wants to see my awesome skills?
13:11How many times do I go to a dance club?
13:13Maybe in my younger days, I would go to the bar and dance club a lot where dancing would
13:16make a big difference for me.
13:18Right.
13:19But with all that being said, in the age I am right now, I'm going to go with singing.
13:23And here's why.
13:24I don't care how many vocal lessons you get.
13:27If you can't sing, you cannot sing.
13:29I can attempt to learn how to play an instrument.
13:31I can attempt to learn how to dance better.
13:34But I think I'm going to go with singing because I think that's the hardest one to
13:36be really good at.
13:37And there it is.
13:38That concludes the Y9 Omaha 4 Down Around the League Blitz Thingy.
