00:00Gator I received yesterday with the college version so NFL version you go
00:05first. All right. Well don't sound too excited Gator. Here we go baby. I'm
00:10focused. Football, stay focused. Here we go. Speaking of football, today
00:13starts the day in Brazil. Speaking of Brazil, the Eagles, Packers, right? Eagles
00:19cornerback Darius Slay said this week he didn't want to go to Brazil and he was
00:22actually told to stay in his room because the crime rate is crazy. He even
00:26told his family don't come I'm gonna be sitting in my hotel room playing video
00:30games whole time. Now he's walked it back a little bit because the NFL's probably
00:33told him hey dude what are you doing so he's apologized for anyone he's
00:37offended. But my question to you and Doug is should the NFL take into consideration
00:41crime rate, safety issues, and all this other stuff when scheduling these
00:45international games? They should and I'm sure they do. They've got to have
00:48security measures in place and take precautions. I'm sure that that goes on.
00:53However, I do think they should listen to the players that the players want to
00:57voice an opinion about any concerns that they have and I think it would just
01:02behoove them to do it so that everybody feels comfortable about this situation
01:05as they're going into it. I'm you know we've heard horror stories about Mexico
01:09too and they play in Mexico every couple years so I would imagine it and the NFL
01:13takes it pretty seriously I think. I know there's there's no way they're gonna
01:16want to throw these guys in a situation that it's it's it doesn't it's not gonna
01:21You wouldn't think they would want to put their product in peril of violent
01:26crime of any kind. I had a buddy that lived in Sao Paulo Brazil and he didn't
01:32come back talking like it was a war zone. Did he come back? He came back yes but he
01:36didn't come back talking like it was a war zone so I think they'll be fine I
01:40think this is probably much ado about nothing. Did he choke you out? No he did
01:44not why would he do that? Well he's Brazilian. He lived in Brazil. Well yeah
01:49he didn't die in Brazil so he must have learned something along the way. He went to Mitchell
01:52Elementary in Ann Arbor. Oh Mitchell Elementary Academy? Exactly I misspoke
02:01the game's tomorrow by the way yeah Ravens and Chiefs are tonight but yes
02:06the NFL should consider everything of course and I'm sure you're right they do
02:09probably have security and then upgraded you know for safety issues for the
02:12players and things like that but let's be honest here people the NFL only cares
02:17about money and growing the game just means growing their pocketbook they'll
02:22go wherever they can possibly go to take the game to get more television audience
02:27and get more fans and so the almighty dollar will win again yeah they'll try
02:32to protect the players but what kind of place are you taking players into if
02:35you're telling them not to leave the hotel room shouldn't that be kind of a
02:38red flag right there well they're not playing in the Ukraine not yet this is
02:42true all right what team is going from first to worst in their division it
02:49happens like every year right guys so I thought Cincinnati was the obvious pick
02:53and maybe it is the obvious pick but they'd have to pass Baltimore and I
02:57don't think they're gonna do that so I tried to figure out which division has
03:01the potential to be a disaster and somebody with a fourth place schedule can
03:05capitalize I'm going with the NFC East being a disaster and the commanders win
03:14the East interesting interesting I heard Mike Tirico this morning talking about
03:22Jaden Daniels and saying he's the real deal and I you know I mean I love Jaden
03:25Daniels but that's a big leap to go over you'd have to stop it for a second I
03:30know okay fair enough that being said your first choice your first instinct
03:36was right it's Cincinnati and they've got the best chance to go from worse the
03:39first obviously the burrow injury you heard him last year and it looks like
03:43Jamar Chase's is ended his hold in and he's practicing and likely suits up so
03:50they'll be fine Cincinnati will have a chance to challenge for the first spot
03:53yeah Cincinnati seems like the obvious answer and I'm not hating you on that
03:56Gator so I'm gonna go really off the board though really off the board not
04:00only do they all from worse in their division to first there were the worst
04:05team last year the Carolina Panthers I'm taking this is more of like my
04:08disrespect I feel I have the NFC South yeah I just don't that that division I
04:13don't respect it I just don't what if Bryce Young's Stroud year is his second
04:19year it not every quarterback hits the ground running like CJ Stroud did he
04:23took it's gonna take him some time he was 1-1 overall he gets a new head coach
04:27more offensive minded he that head coach helped Baker Mayfield last year
04:31maybe can help Bryce Young reach his potential they did add some offensive
04:34pieces as well I think Carolina's got it or crazy outside shot to take that
04:38division all right who's the first coach that's fired this year Robert Sala
04:47going on a limb that it gets too uncomfortable by Thanksgiving and he's
04:52gonna be gone by Christmas I just think that that is a dumpster fire I
04:56understand that there was a close to being a playoff team last year despite
05:00the fact that the team only threw 11 touchdown passes that's right the Jets
05:04threw 11 touchdown passes all of last year and they almost made the playoffs
05:11because their defense was that damn good but I just think there's just gonna be
05:15too much acrimony with Robert Sala and Aaron Rodgers and it's gonna blow up so
05:18I go back to the well the NFC East which I think has potential to be a mess it
05:22is a well is a day bull is it McCarthy is it Sirianni it's a race to who can
05:28get fired first but Gator on Monday October 14th following a loss to the
05:33Detroit Lions to drop to two and four after a bourbon fueled altercation with
05:37owner Jerry Jones McCarthy gone in Dallas to be replaced by Mike Zimmer who
05:43is the defensive coordinator not bad not bad and then ultimately Bill Belichick
05:48you know what I thought my first thought was Nick Sirianni but I just feel they
05:53have just too much talent to lose enough games for him to get fired in the middle
05:56of the season maybe at the end of the season if they don't realize you know
05:59enough success you might get fired but that won't be the first one exactly so
06:02I'm not gonna go Nick Sirianni I'm gonna go with the Saints head coach Dennis
06:06Allen that's right back to disrespect of the NFC South it might not be the fact
06:10that Carolina is that great this year but the rest of division is gonna have
06:12to suck as well right and I think Dennis Allen's just gonna start the Saints off
06:16horribly so bad so that they got to let him go during the season we're relying
06:20on Derek Carr right yes they are hmm all right well we finally see a 2,000-yard
06:27receiver this year and if so who's it gonna be I'm gonna say no on the
06:302,000-yard receiver but if we are gonna see one I'll go Jamar Chase with a
06:38healthy Joe Burrow puts up huge numbers in Cincy I agree that they we won't see
06:44one this year I think that extra game is just simply an extra opportunity to
06:47get hurt I love Tyreek Hill but you know he's quarterback issues there there's no
06:52quarterback issue there but he's banged up I I don't I don't I just don't see it
06:58happening this season I think we might see it in the next couple of years but
07:02some of these quarterbacks just need to get some more work time with these with
07:06these receivers they have so I thought one of you guys would say yes if not
07:10both because I think the popular answer would be yes but I agree I don't think
07:13it's gonna happen either it's really really hard to do guys you know like you
07:18I did the math on this right that's right Gator I did the math I'm glad you
07:20did you do you need eight catches a game at 15 yards per catch enough and play
07:25the full season by the way that's all 17 games that's not easy to do CD lamb
07:29might be I if anyone does I think it's CD lamb but he had a hundred and thirty
07:33five catches last year and he still had 1700 yards I think he played every game
07:38too it's really hard to do more weapons for all these quarterbacks I know it's a
07:42passing league but they're spraying it around more I thought Justin Jefferson
07:45might have a shot but but now with this quarterback situation they have I agree
07:52all right who's getting way too much hype and it's gonna disappoint this year
07:56and who's not getting any hype at all and it's gonna surprise people all right
08:00this is interesting because I'm not sure who's really getting a hype and who
08:03isn't getting hype but I'll answer the question I went with Devante Adams
08:06because everybody thinks that he is one of the top three receivers in football
08:10everybody all the receivers just rave about him and yet he's stuck in Vegas
08:15with a crappy quarterback situation I just I just don't think he's gonna live
08:20up to any of it I think when the second he got moved over there was just a death
08:24sentence for his career he's got to get out of got to get out of Vegas as far as
08:28someone who I think is underrated and gonna have a really good year I know
08:32that we joke about the Achilles injury a little bit with with guys coming back
08:36but I really think the Kirk Cousins has an opportunity with the weapons around
08:40him he had weapons in Minnesota and put up some really good numbers but he's got
08:44a solid running game too right now would be John Robinson and I just think it's a
08:48winnable division too and because it's a winnable division and he's got the
08:51weapons I think he can end up winning the division and he'll get heralded as
08:55what a great season he had it's really hard with the hype question because I
08:59feel like the NFL we we know and hear about everybody so it and there's a lot
09:04of respect for a lot of skill position players and all that so I'm trying to
09:07think of somebody it's off the radar that used to have hype and now people
09:09have given up on but it's gonna get some help Kyler Murray might have a bounce
09:14back season this year in Arizona and as far as too much hype I'm gonna say that
09:20the Super Bowl favorite Green Bay Packers are gonna let down Green Bay I
09:23can't swing a dead cat anymore without seeing I probably shouldn't say that
09:26anymore but without seeing a Green Bay selection to win the Super Bowl in fact
09:31CBS Sports had a bunch of experts pick today the most popular pick is Green Bay
09:35to win the Super Bowl Green Bay is gonna let down yeah Sports Illustrated going
09:39downhill again Doug I was very close to picking Green Bay as well I think this I
09:44think Jordan loves good but this is I feel like this is too much praise too
09:47soon for him and that team but ultimately I went with Aaron Rodgers in
09:51the Jets I mean there are some media members picking the Jets to go to the
09:54Super Bowl this year NFL put him on so many primetimes the primetime games this
09:59year Aaron Rodgers has he even met his teammates yet I doesn't even like his
10:03teammates this guy's in our darkness treat retreat every other week I'm not
10:07sure he has any chemistry with these guys he almost ran for VP of the country
10:12you know so like I think the Jets and Aaron Rodgers specifically is gonna let
10:16a lot of people down with all the hype as far as not getting any hype I'll go
10:20back to it Bryce Young I just feel like he's been completely overlooked because
10:23of the year Stroud had he's he's very young one year into the league new coach
10:28better suited for him more weapons like I said didn't you know they picked up
10:31Jadaven Clowney on defense I think Bryce Young has a much better year than people
10:34expect
10:39all right last one's a little fun here guys there's an alleged leaked contract
10:44of Travis Kelsey and Taylor Swift's relationship going around online it was
10:47put out by Travis Kelsey's PR company but they've already come out and debunked
10:51that and said this is not true but what what was shown on this leaked contract
10:55was the actual date of Taylor Swift and Travis Kelsey's breakup it lists the
11:00date as September 28th 2024 coming up guys let's just play a game here just
11:06give me the exact date they actually do break okay we'll come back and revisit
11:10yeah how history will repeat itself here and I'm thinking about history all right
11:14and I remember when Carly Bobby left her husband Ricky after he was no longer
11:20able to drive she left and he thought he was on fire and he was naked yeah and so
11:25she then latched on with Cal Naughton jr. hell yeah who was winning races at
11:30the time shaking bake so when the Chiefs get bounced in the playoffs this coming
11:36year she will then latch on to Detroit Lions tight end Parker has a Brock writes
11:53a well Sam Laporta's engaged to February 7th guys I don't believe it this
12:06is true love and true love lasts forever they will never ever ever ever ever break
12:12I love it I love it you're a romantic true romantic that's me all right guys
12:17so I went back and checked out when you know another high-profile couple called
12:20it quits Giselle and Tom Brady they did it in October so I'm gonna go October
12:2528th 2025 there you go all you need to know head into the NFL season and that
12:32concludes the wide nine Omaha four down around the league blitz thingy bulldoze predictions
12:38coming up next
