00:00We could do other things with the Lions. Is there anything else we're bringing up other than the one that's sitting right in front of our face, and that's go trade for Myles Garrett?
00:10Is there any other?
00:12What, is there another player like that? I mean, I think there's, you could look at a handful of defensive ends and say that that's the player for the Lions.
00:19That would put him, that is, that is, okay.
00:21I mean, well, because you had the big four that were brought up in an article last week of potential guys that are available for trade.
00:29We don't know if they are yet or not.
00:30We know that Myles Garrett is, but is Max Crosby available for trade?
00:34Is Micah Parsons available for trade?
00:37What's going to happen with Trey Hendrickson and Cincinnati?
00:39Do they have enough money?
00:40So those are four guys.
00:42Yeah, recently.
00:43Same thing.
00:44With, with Trey Hendrickson is a commitment from Cincinnati.
00:46They say they're going to try and keep their big three.
00:48And, and I mean, you can say you're going to try.
00:51It doesn't mean you're going to be able to fit them all under the cap.
00:54And then with, you know, the question is, is Hendrickson the one that they move on from Crosby?
01:01Crosby's fascinating because Crosby feels like he's sending out smoke signals that he wants to come to Detroit, but it's not up to him.
01:11It's, it's, it's out of his control.
01:14If Myles Crosby, Max Crosby, excuse me, Myles Crosby.
01:18What a player, Max Garrett.
01:20If Max Crosby said, I want out.
01:25That would be a different thing.
01:26He hasn't said that, but I mean, there's always, there's always cryptic love letters sent to Detroit coming from his socials.
01:34Crosby would be a great addition.
01:37The accessibility to him is questionable.
01:40If, if Trey Hendrickson, they can't fit him under the cap, that would be, it would be a great addition.
01:46How many sacks did he have last year?
01:49Why don't say like 16 or so?
01:51Yeah, he would be, he would be a fantastic addition if he actually, if there's a path to get him.
01:58I feel the same way about Micah Parsons.
02:02Kind of believe it when I see it.
02:04Kind of approach towards Micah Parsons.
02:07The Garrett thing is the advertisement has been hung.
02:11Like it's in the, it's in the, uh, it's in the classifieds for sale, Myles Garrett.
02:17So, um, all of those guys are correct that there is accessibility, but there's accessibility to one of them as it stands right now.
02:28Well, I mean, we're talking about, you can do as a trade.
02:32I think they're all accessible.
02:33It just depends on the offer that you, that you make, right?
02:37Yeah.
02:37I mean, I, I realistically, what would you have to trade to get Micah Parsons?
02:43If the Cowboys know they can't sign him to long-term deal because they've got everybody else.
02:47They got to, I mean, it's, it's, you're looking at this, the same package it is for, for Myles Garrett.
02:53See, the difference is, is I don't think the Cowboys think of themselves at the beginning of a rebuild.
02:57I think Cleveland understands that they are, they are in jail because of the, for the next two years because of the Deshaun Watson contract.
03:04If 70 million wasted dollars against the cap.
03:08I mean, this is, this is the tough part.
03:09If you're the Lions, I was actually having to discuss that.
03:11If you're the Lions, I was actually having a discussion with my brother yesterday about, you know, Myles Garrett and other players they could add and what would it take.
03:19And the problem is that the Lions are picking at the end of the draft.
03:22And that if the, if the player they pick up, if they pick up a Myles Garrett or Micah Parsons or Trey Hendrickson or Max Crosby, they're still going to be drafting at 28 or higher.
03:31Yeah.
03:31Because that's the player that puts them over the top.
03:33So that's the problem because it's not an appealing draft pick.
03:37Nope.
03:37Having a number one pick sounds great until you find out where it is.
03:41So realistically, what would it take to trade for one of those guys?
03:45I mean, you're talking, you start at least at two first-round picks and then you have to come up with some other capital.
03:51Would it be two first-round picks and a player?
03:54Yeah.
03:55You know, is it two first-round picks and Jamison Williams?
03:57Two first-round picks and, you know, and Jack Campbell?
04:01Is it two first-round picks and a fourth-round pick and somebody else?
04:04And, you know, you really have to build it up to make it worth.
04:09I think you'd have to cut into your core players because I don't think Dallas and Cincinnati think of themselves in rebuilds.
04:17The Vegas Raiders could and should, but there's no indication that they are.
04:23Cleveland obviously is and so they are more interested.
04:26They could be sold on draft capital and more so than I think Dallas or Cincinnati.
04:32Dave Burkhead had something interesting to say.
04:34He had a mock draft 1.0 and with his pick for the Raiders, it was not a quarterback.
04:39And his reasoning was that the Raiders didn't hire their coach to come on over and rebuild.
04:49That's not what Pete Carroll's there for.
04:50Pete Carroll is there to win now, meaning that they wouldn't draft a quarterback or have a rookie quarterback to start.
04:55They're likely to have some veteran player, whether it's Russell Wilson or Aaron Rodgers or whomever it is,
05:01to go ahead and start there.
05:02So does Pete Carroll come over to the Raiders only to see Max Crosby, their best player, leave?
05:12Yeah, probably not.
05:13Probably not.
05:14Yep.
05:14But I think Cincinnati's the team to watch and see what happens with Hendrickson.
05:19And if he ends up getting to free agency, because he is technically a free agent, right?
05:28He's getting there.
05:29Cincinnati wants to bring him back, but they haven't signed him to an extension yet.
05:34So is that the most realistic option?
05:39Trey Hendrickson is under contract this coming year.
05:42For the 25 season?
05:43Yeah.
05:44Okay.
05:44For how much is it?
05:47Give me a second here.
05:48It is, he's an $18.66 million cap hit.
05:52And it's his last season.
05:53Yep.
05:54I mean, he's at that age where declining production, but declining from 17.5 sacks is still acceptable in Detroit, opposite of Hendrickson.
06:01Yeah, I mean, I just, you look at that and I just, I don't know if they can hang on to that kind of a cap, a number,
06:09when you've got other players that you want to re-sign, particularly to make the offense happy and to make the quarterback happy.
06:17I don't know if they can do it.
06:18So keep an eye on that.
06:19Yeah, it's whether or not, so the headlines over the weekend was that Cincinnati is trying, is putting together long-term contracts for Jamar Chase, T. Higgins, and Trey Hendrickson.
06:28And that came from ESPN over the weekend.
06:32If they can't pull that off, yeah, it might open up the path to Hendrickson.
06:38I still think Cincinnati would be less interested in your draft picks and interested in your core players.
06:42And I don't know that that makes it a, like the Lions are in that spot where, here, take our draft picks.
06:48And the team that seems most likely to take them is still Cleveland.
06:51But, you know, and you're right, if the Raiders aren't into a rebuild, they don't want your draft picks either.
06:57They want your core players and that might just take it off the table and make it a trade like that.
07:02However, so that's sort of where the Lions are in the over-the-top move.
