00:00Hello and a very good morning to you on this Wednesday. It's a cold start to the day across
00:04many areas. With some pockets of frost out there, you may have to scrape your windscreens
00:08first thing and certainly you may run into some fog patches as well. The fog has been
00:12stubborn across Northern Ireland through the last few days, still murky conditions here.
00:16Southern Scotland, Northern England down towards the Midlands. Watch out for some patchy rain
00:20and drizzle first thing across the North West of Scotland and one or two showers just clipping
00:24the far South East of England where there is a bit more of a breeze. So if you're stepping
00:29out first thing, layer up, it is rather cold and through the morning still damp across
00:34the North West of Scotland. At the same time, some hazy sunshine coming through as that
00:39fog breaks up like low cloud lifts. Even so, a cloudy day and quite murky across Northern
00:46Ireland and some parts of Southern Scotland, North West England. But some brighter skies
00:50elsewhere, some sunshine, a breeze towards the far North of Scotland and here temperatures
00:55around 12 degrees Celsius. Elsewhere, where we see that low cloud continue, that fog just
01:01remain in place, temperatures really struggling, so a cold day and also a dull one. Through
01:06this evening and overnight, not a lot of change. High pressure remains to the West of the UK,
01:12more of a breeze towards the East and notice where this onshore wind will see some patchy
01:17rain and drizzle continue across the North and the West of Scotland, particularly across
01:21the North West Highlands as well as the Islands. Elsewhere, some broken clouds as we start
01:26the day on Thursday, a chilly start, again one or two pockets of frost, even one or two
01:31patches of fog. Generally speaking, there will be a fair amount of cloud and damp in
01:34the North West. And here's your outlook through Friday. Well, a change is coming our way from
01:39the North West and we'll see some sharp bursts of rain come in and some stronger winds behind,
01:46all courtesy of this cold front which is sinking southwards. Behind it, the air is colder.
01:52Ahead of it, we'll see some murk but also some brighter skies towards the South and
01:56generally speaking, changes will continue as we head through the weekend into next week
02:01where things turn a lot colder. I'll see you later.
