00:00The Office of Civil Defense, or OCD, reported that over 30,000 individuals have been affected
00:06by Typhoon Marseille.
00:07OCD Undersecretary Ariel Nepomuceno explained their recovery efforts have extended from
00:13the previous typhoons, Christine and Leon.
00:16As of the latest data, 17,019 individuals, or 2,059 families, are currently in evacuation
00:23centers in Regions 1 and 2 and the Cordillera Administrative Region, or CAR.
00:29Meanwhile, 10,792 families, equivalent to 32,138 individuals, have been recorded as
00:37severely affected in these regions.
00:39According to Nepomuceno, while they wait for the final field reports, he assured that necessary
00:45aid has been pre-positioned in compliance with the directives of President Ferdinand
00:50R. Marcos, Jr., including clean water, food packs from the SWD, and non-food items such
00:56as hygiene and medical kits from the DOH.
