00:06Police have confirmed the number of casualties after a fatal crash involving a lorry and nine other vehicles on the M6 in Lancashire.
00:13Lancashire Police said the lorry driver, a man in his fifties, died at the scene on the motorway near Garstanger to arrive 11.20am on Wednesday.
00:20The force said two other people, the driver of a Ford Transit, a man in his forties and the driver of a Suzuki Swift, a woman in her forties,
00:28suffered serious injuries and remain in hospital. Three other people suffered more minor injuries.
00:34The grieving family of a Doty and Wigan dad told a coroner they did not believe he intended to take his own life.
00:42Bolton Coroner's Court heard Kieron Sharp was devoted to his young daughter, enjoyed football and darts and had a heart of gold.
00:50His loved ones were devastated when he died on Sunday July 14th after being found unresponsive by Emily Latham, his partner of five years, at their home on Westminster Street, Newtown.
01:00The inquest heard the 34-year-old Kieron had struggled with his mental health since childhood and, despite being prescribed antidepressants by his GP in 2016, he did not believe they would work for him.
01:12In other news, Farmer Parr's Animal World in Fleetwood has bid farewell to a popular pony who had been the family attraction for almost 30 years.
01:24The farm on Fleetwood Road, which includes a museum and cafe, keeps a number of unusual animals which have become popular with visitors.
01:32One of the most popular was Thomas, the adorable miniature Shetland who had a legion of fans.
01:37Farmer Parr's Facebook page has been on data with almost 80 messages since the attraction posted the sad message about his passing earlier this week.

02:20Simply named the cafe, the eatery at the store on Finsleygate opened on the first floor this week and it has already proven popular with customers.
