00:00Hello and welcome to what's on in Wigan this week. Keep the faith in foot stomping
00:07sounds that started on the dance floors in the north and eventually swept the nation.
00:12An 11-piece band will have you on your feet with four lead vocalists performing 30 songs
00:16at the Northern Live Do I Love You show at the Edge Arena on Friday November 15th.
00:21It starts at 7.30pm and tickets are available online.
00:25Come and meet two Olympia authors as well as a whole group of varied authors and illustrators
00:32at Wigan Library's annual Christmas fair. Mark Golding will be selling copies of his book
00:37Out of Time and Andrew Sweeney will be selling copies of his book The Minority,
00:41both with the availability to sign purchase books and answer any questions you might have.
00:46The event takes place at Wigan Library on November 16th from 10am until 1pm.
00:51Why not get into the festive spirit at Haywoodland Park's tree lighting event?
00:55It's the park's traditional way of launching its festive calendar of events with a day of
01:00children's Christmas entertainment, live seasonal songs and brass music, as well as a Christmas
01:05artisan market and festive food and drink. And of course the countdown and Christmas
01:10tree switch on with a visit by Father Christmas. It takes place on Sunday November 17th and
01:17it begins at 10am with the light switch on at around 4.45pm.
01:22And finally, Leave Frostfest includes Christmas Market,
01:26Arnbradshaw Gate and Spinning Gate car park, along with a funfair and community stage.
01:31Light up play with the Dazzling Light Parade, taking a tour of the town centre and
01:36switch on the Christmas lights as you go. And end the festivities with an evening
01:40of entertainment on the main stage, alongside the return of Frostfeast pop-up food festival.
01:46It takes place on Sunday November 17th from 4pm.
