00:04that he will return to Bico Region to deliver assistance and services

00:19The other government agencies will also share their assistance

00:22for the recovery of victims of calamity.

00:26This is the message of Clayzel Pardilla.

00:31Mang Alfredo is brave because he is from Uruguay

00:34but he was hit by an earthquake and he is now limping

00:37because of the impact of his farm in Legazpi, Albay

00:40where he was hit by a flood due to Hurricane Christine.

01:09After President Ferdinand R. Marcos, Jr. visited Bicol again

01:14after Hurricane Christine hit the region,

01:17President Ferdinand R. Marcos, Jr. received 50 million pesos of assistance

01:20in the province of Albay.

01:22The thousands of farmers, fishermen, and families

01:26in 18 towns and villages in the province were affected by Hurricane Christine.

01:31That is why I am here

01:33to give assistance for your recovery

01:37and to prepare for a new beginning.

01:40We will give more than 10,000 pesos

01:44to the farmers

01:46so that your livelihood will be secure and prosperous.

01:51Bicol is the fifth in the regions with the highest production of rice.

01:56Rice is one of the main sources of livelihood here.

01:59That is why President Ferdinand R. Marcos, Jr.

02:03wished for the farmers in the region to recover and start again

02:07after Hurricane Christine hit the region.

02:10The TESDA also approved a payment of 80 million pesos

02:13for the scholarship grant

02:15and training support fund to the victims of the disaster.

02:18Some beneficiaries were not able to stop President R. Marcos

02:24They are very thankful for the personal help received by the President.

02:29We received a lot of help, 10,000 pesos.

02:33We will be able to buy what we need.

02:37I am thankful for the assistance given by BBM

02:42because it is already a big help.

02:47and also to my neighbors.

02:51Last week, President R. Marcos distributed 130 million pesos

02:54for various assistance to Albay, Camarines Tour, and Naga.

02:59He aimed for a fast distribution of relief goods and rescue operations.

03:04Now that we have passed that phase,

03:09we are here to help those who lost their livelihoods.

03:16Especially our farmers and fishermen

03:21because we know that when a typhoon hits,

03:24when a flood like this hits,

03:27a lot of crops are destroyed,

03:29a lot of fish pens are destroyed.

03:31We saw this when we first visited here.

03:35That is why I said,

03:37we are not just giving to the Department of Agriculture,

03:41but we will continue to give.

03:44According to Albay Acting Governor Glenda Bungao,

03:47this is a proof that President R. Marcos' priority

03:50is to help those affected by the calamity,

03:53especially those in the agriculture sector.

03:56Our President's visit today

03:59is a proof of how important you are,

04:03our farmers and fishermen.

04:07Mr. President,

04:10this is my second week as Acting Governor,

04:15and this is the second time I see you here in Bicol.

04:23You are truly taking care of the people of Bicol.

04:29Aside from that, President Marcos is focusing on

04:32the solutions to the problems that may arise due to climate change.

04:36He ordered the DPWH to create quality,

04:40safe, and resilient infrastructure.

04:43NDRRMC provided easy access to the funds

04:46to be used in times of emergency.

04:49And the funds were used again for the Quick Response Fund

04:52to ensure that there is no shortage of assistance

04:55to the victims of Hurricane Christine.

04:57The President also promised that he will look for funds

05:00from his office to help our countrymen

05:03in the most remote and remote areas

05:06affected by Hurricane Christine.
