00:00The Department of Labor and Employment of Calabarzona, affected by the typhoon Christine and Leon, provided assistance.

00:08This is part of the rollout of the Disadvantaged Program Worker Assistance Program, or the so-called TUPAD Program.

00:21The Department of Labor and Employment of Dole, Calabarzona provided P424 million

00:28for the rollout of the Disadvantaged Program Worker Assistance Program, or the so-called TUPAD Program.

00:34More than 70,000 disadvantaged workers were affected by the typhoon Christine in the region.

00:43Batangas received P170 million for almost 30,000 of its beneficiaries.

00:50Cavite received P80 million for more than 14,000 of its beneficiaries.

00:57Laguna received P80 million for more than 14,000 of its beneficiaries.

01:04Quezon received P60 million for more than 16,000 of its beneficiaries.

01:08Rizala received P16 million for more than 16,000 of its beneficiaries.

01:12As an alternative, beneficiaries need to work within 10 days.

01:18This includes community clean-up, debris clearing, and rehabilitation of public infrastructure.

01:24To the people who lost their jobs, they can contact our offices or the nearest public employment services office.

01:35All municipalities and provinces have offices like that.

01:40More than P30 million worth of cash for work wages were distributed by Dole to those affected by the typhoon in some places in Bicol Region.

01:51It is still part of the Disadvantaged Workers Autopad Program of the agency.

01:57More than 7,000 beneficiaries received assistance.

02:01The distribution of assistance in the region started on October 28 and will last until November 5.

02:08For the workers in the companies and offices, before or after the typhoon, we made sure that they are safe and far from any misfortune.

02:26The beneficiaries of the Autopad Program helped in fixing the road in Marigundo, North of Romblona.

02:33The road that leads to the town proper is in good condition.

02:37Dole-Memaropa assured that they will continue to provide work to the Disadvantaged Workers in the region through the Autopad Program.

02:46The beneficiaries received P395, which is currently the highest minimum wage in the region.
