00:15Aston Villa's pre-match press conference. This week the opponents are Tottenham, a

00:22big game you know the team that Villa have finished just above in the

00:26table for the last two seasons obviously pipping them to the Europa Conference

00:29League in 22-23 and then last year the Champions League was it two points

00:35Villa with a hundred percent record at Tottenham under Unai Emery they've won

00:40both games and both games felt big milestones the first one coming on New

00:45Year's Day last year it feels much longer ago and the first time you know

00:50you you really thought Villa might be going places under Unai Emery and then

00:53last season's win in November was kind of the first time that you thought they

00:57might stick around in the top four and be a serious threat last season as it

01:01obviously proved this one feels like it's a chance to lay down a marker as

01:05well Villa fourth in the table Tottenham five points behind they've won four

01:09they've lost four Villa doing well but you wonder just how well considering the

01:16fixture list has been has been relatively kind and obviously drawing

01:201-1 with Bournemouth last weekend the late goal was a disappointment

01:23Man United and Ipswich also feel like drop points so this this feels like a

01:28chance for Villa to kind of set their stall out Unai Emery as always as he

01:33typically does claiming his team are the underdogs but I don't think that's

01:38what he's going to be saying to the players in terms of injury news well it

01:41was all going so well for Villa wasn't it in recent weeks a fully fit squad to

01:44choose from that's not the case this time around Ross Barkley's got a small

01:49injury which is going to keep him out of this game and the midweek trip to

01:54Club Bruges and then the trip to Liverpool as well just before the

01:59international break it's another huge week for Villa you know obviously

02:02Tottenham big test Liverpool bigger test Champions League game in the middle but

02:08Unai Emery as always taking it one game at a time
