Matt Maher discusses Aston Villa's trip to Leicester
Transcript
00:00Good afternoon from Bodymore Heath where Unai Emery has just completed his press conference
00:08ahead of Saturday's tomorrow's game against Leicester City. Also, it's obviously deadline
00:14day, so the Villa manager was asked about transfers. He said he was very happy with
00:20the business they've done in the window. In terms of further dealings, it's looking pretty
00:27quiet at this stage. We've got, what, seven hours left? So never say never, but it would
00:33be unlikely that Villa are going to add any more players before tonight's deadline. One
00:40who has departed, midfielder Enzo Baronescia has joined Valencia for the season on loan
00:47and Leander Dendonca looks like he's heading to Anderlecht, also on loan for the season.
00:53Neither Baronescia or Dendonca have featured in either of Villa's matchday squads so far
01:00this season and Dendonca really has been well down the pecking order for a while. They spent
01:05the second half of last season on loan at Napoli, a deal that included an option to
01:11buy which the Italian club didn't take up. I think Villa were probably hoping that they
01:15would. It hasn't really been part of Unai Emery's plans since January. There will be
01:23changes to Villa's squad for tomorrow's game at Leicester due to injury. Matty Cash, we
01:27already knew, was out with a hamstring problem and the question was whether Unai Emery was
01:32going to bring in teenager Kostin Andelkovic for his senior Premier League debut and that
01:39question is pretty much answered because Diego Carlos is also out through injury. The option
01:45Emery had was to play Carlos at centre-back and move Ezri Conza to right-back, obviously
01:51give him a bit more experience. With Carlos out, it's almost certain that Kostin Andelkovic
01:56will start the game. He's 18 years old, he's obviously come on a substitute in the first
02:01two matches, a player Villa have big hopes for the future but obviously a big test for
02:06him in his full Premier League debut. Villa, one win, one defeat, looking to end the first
02:14month of the season on a positive note at Leicester.
