00:00I seek refuge with Allah from the accursed Satan.
00:02In the name of Allah, the Gracious, the Merciful.
00:04All praise is due to Allah, Lord of the worlds.
00:06Peace and blessings of Allah be upon His Messenger.
00:08Dear viewers, I am your host, Shahid Masroor.
00:13Today's topic is very important.
00:18In fact, what religion has taught us,
00:21it is our education for the rest of the world.
00:26Today, the problem with us is that the knowledge
00:31that social media has brought to us,
00:36that knowledge is not authentic.
00:43But another important thing is that
00:45a knowledge that is universally accepted for all ages,
00:52we can call that knowledge knowledge.
00:55But when knowledge is given to someone,
00:59whether it is worldly or religious,
01:03they teach that when knowledge is organized,
01:07then it becomes education.
01:11That is, what should be taught to the children of the first class,
01:13how much knowledge should be given,
01:15how should the knowledge be given to the second class,
01:17then to the graduates, then to the masters,
01:20or to the ones after them,
01:22how should they be taught, at what level,
01:25at what level of knowledge should they be taught.
01:27This is called organizational education.
01:29That is, there is a difference between knowledge and education.
01:32The knowledge that religion has gradually given us,
01:37with that knowledge, in the form of the Prophet,
01:42Allah has created such a personality
01:45who has taught us.
01:48He has taught us, which we call Shariah,
01:51that this knowledge is beneficial for you in this way.
01:58So, today's topic is knowledge and education.
02:02To talk about knowledge and education today,
02:06in fact, to explain it to us,
02:08and to tell it to the respected guests who have come here,
02:12and it is a very good thing that when we talk about education,
02:16the respected teachers are present with us.
02:19And these are the respected teachers
02:21who are teaching people all over the world
02:24in relation to this screen.
02:28They are teaching about spiritual education.
02:33With me is the first personality,
02:34respected Mufti Suhail Azam Jadid Sahib.
02:36Peace be upon you.
02:37Peace and blessings of Allah be upon you.
02:38Mashallah, sir.
02:39The second personality is with us,
02:40respected Mufti Ahmad Munir Noorani Sahib.
02:43Peace be upon you, sir.
02:43Peace and blessings of Allah be upon you.
02:46Mashallah.
02:46Sir, today's topic is very good.
02:48We have not understood the aspects of education,
02:54and education is not just a degree.
02:58The importance of education is the life of a person,
03:02the creation of this universe, everything present in this universe,
03:05and then to spread it.
03:07All of this is education.
03:10So, if we look at religious education,
03:13what is the importance of religious education,
03:16and how can religious education be obtained?
03:21In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Ever Merciful.
03:23O Allah, bless our master Muhammad and his family and companions.
03:31The importance of religious education,
03:34and why it is important,
03:39If we talk about its philosophy, its importance,
03:44then remember that it refers to the teachings of the religion of Islam.
03:49Without a doubt.
03:51As a Muslim, it is important to have information about Islam,
03:59as a Muslim.
04:01So that we are not called Muslims by name,
04:05but we are called useful Muslims.
04:08We are called practical Muslims.
04:10And we see that every religion has some basic ideas,
04:16some values, in every religion.
04:19And similarly, in Islam, there are some basic thoughts,
04:24some values.
04:26The society and culture of every nation,
04:32all of this is designed based on their basic ideas and values.
04:38Without a doubt.
04:39Their culture is designed based on those basic ideas and values.
04:44And the society establishes its identity based on those basic ideas and values.
04:50The identity that is established,
04:51is based on those basic ideas and values.
04:54It becomes your identity.
04:55Yes, it becomes your identity.
04:56For example, if you go to a Hindu society,
05:01if you look at their culture,
05:03if you look at their matters,
05:04you will see a completely different colour.
05:09Okay?
05:10Similarly, if you go to a Christian society,
05:13if you go to their houses,
05:14if you go to their areas,
05:15if you go to their cities,
05:17you will see a different colour in their culture and identity.
05:24You will see a different colour.
05:25Without a doubt.
05:26If you go to a Jewish society,
05:29you will see a different colour.
05:31Their worship and rituals are different.
05:34Similarly, the identity and distinction of Muslims in the world,
05:43is based on their religious ideas and values.
05:47Okay?
05:48Now, for example,
05:52if we are Muslims,
05:56and we do not have any information,
05:59we do not have any information,
06:00then we are Muslims by name,
06:02we are not Muslims by action.
06:04We are not Muslims by work.
06:05We do not have any identity.
06:07This means that we do not have any basic ideas or values.
06:10That is why,
06:12to maintain our identity, our culture,
06:17we need basic ideas and values,
06:21which, Alhamdulillah, Muslims also have.
06:25And in this way, I would like to tell you,
06:28understand it this way,
06:29that this religious teaching,
06:31I said in the beginning that this means the teachings of the religion of Islam.
06:36Now, this religious teaching, our basic ideas and values,
06:41are not derived from anywhere else.
06:44They are derived from the Quran and Hadith.
06:46Okay?
06:47That is why it is important,
06:49that whatever is said in the Quran and Sunnah,
06:52we should have the knowledge of it,
06:53we should have the information of it,
06:55so that our identity, our culture, our identity is maintained.
06:59And we should know,
07:01as Muslims, why we have come into this world,
07:04what we have to do,
07:05and for our hereafter,
07:07to make our hereafter good,
07:09whatever we do in this world,
07:12our hereafter will be good.
07:13And whatever we do not do,
07:15our hereafter will not be good.
07:17So, in this, we should know the do's and don'ts.
07:21And let me add one more thing to this.
07:23If we do not have the knowledge of basic values,
07:26if we do not have the knowledge of basic ideas and values,
07:28then we can neither become good Muslims ourselves,
07:32nor can we make our children good Muslims.
07:36Today, the reality is that we are Muslims,
07:40but as Muslims, we do not have religious knowledge.
07:45That is why we could not become good Muslims ourselves,
07:48and we could not convert the teachings of Islam in our children.
07:53This is today's reality.
07:55And secondly, I would say,
07:56that the emotions and emotions that exist in the world today,
08:01we see that they are mostly based on religion.
08:06Right?
08:07Now, as long as we have religious knowledge,
08:11for example,
08:13whom do we have to love, whom do we have to hate,
08:16where is war, where is peace, where is unity, where is division?
08:20All these things, when we are Muslims,
08:24then we have to follow the Qur'an and Sunnah,
08:26i.e. the commandments given by Allah the Exalted.
08:31If we do not follow them,
08:33then it means that we are on the path of destruction and destruction.
08:37And if we follow them,
08:39then God willing, the guidance that Allah the Exalted has given us,
08:42it is in the Holy Qur'an,
08:44that whoever follows the guidance that Allah the Exalted has given us,
08:49then there will be no fear on them, nor will there be any sorrow on them.
08:56Now, this also includes,
08:57whom do we have to believe in, whom do we not have to believe in,
09:01where do we have to establish relations, where do we not have to establish relations,
09:05because the misguidance that is done in the name of religion,
09:09the misuse of the name of religion,
09:12the deceit that is done in the name of religion,
09:14it is done because our people have no knowledge of it.
09:19Where there will be information,
09:22then this misguidance, misuse,
09:25and in the same way, the deceit that is done in the name of religion,
09:28all these things will end.
09:29Because they do not know, so people deceive them.
09:32You are right.
09:34So, the meaning of this is that we should acquire the knowledge of religion.
09:39That is why the knowledge of religion is important.
09:41Yes, it is important, the knowledge of Islam and its teachings should be there.
09:45Respected Mufti Sahab Noorani Sahab,
09:48the question that arises is that the best way to acquire the teachings of Islam,
09:54the appropriate way, what is that?
09:57In the name of Allah, the Gracious, the Merciful.
09:59Allahumma salli wa sallim wa barik daiman abada
10:02ala habibika khairul khalqi kulli minh.
10:05See, the teachings are so important for man
10:10that when Allah the Almighty decided to create man,
10:14the angels objected that they will go to earth and cause disorder and bloodshed.
10:20So, Allah the Almighty gave man knowledge to show the greatness and excellence of man.
10:27wa'allama adama alasmaa kullaha thumma abadahuma alal malaika
10:30faqala anbiyooni bi asmaa-e haa ulayhim quddum sadiqin.
10:33So, the excellence of man that Allah has proven is through knowledge.
10:38So, knowledge is necessary for the excellence of man.
10:42And knowledge distinguishes man from other creatures.
10:47Without a doubt.
10:48Because other creatures are eaters, drinkers, and breathers.
10:52It is man who Allah the Almighty has given the wealth of knowledge.
10:55Allah the Almighty has sent him as his Caliph.
10:57He has sent him as his Caliph.
10:58And the reasons for knowledge,
11:00In Sharaqaid, Allama Sa'aduddin Tafsizani writes,
11:03Asbab-ul-ilm-e-salasatun.
11:05There are three reasons for knowledge.
11:07Number one, intellect.
11:09Number two, the five senses.
11:11Number three, the truthful news.
11:15Now, the truthful news, as Hazrat was pointing out,
11:19cannot be more truthful than the Holy Qur'an.
11:22And nothing can be more truthful than the words of Huzoor.
11:27Because Huzoor is the one who is called the truthful and trustworthy.
11:32So, the sources of our knowledge,
11:36the biggest source of knowledge should be the Holy Qur'an.
11:40Without a doubt.
11:41The biggest source of knowledge should be the Hadith.
11:44The biggest source of knowledge should be the religion of Islam.
11:47The reason for this is that if knowledge is different from the Qur'an,
11:52from the Hadith, from the religion of Islam,
11:55then it is not certain that it will lead us on the straight path.
11:58Because all the knowledge of the world is present in the Holy Qur'an.
12:04This is a complete fact.
12:06Allah the Almighty said,
12:07wa laa ratbi'un wa laa yaabisna illa fee kitaabim mubeed.
12:10There is nothing dry and dry that the Qur'an cannot explain.
12:13Without a doubt.
12:14That is why we acquire knowledge for the straight path.
12:19We want to go on the straight path in terms of worldly matters
12:21and in terms of religious matters.
12:23The knowledge of profit is here.
12:24And the knowledge of profit should be such that
12:26along with giving us success in the world,
12:28it should also make us successful in the court of Allah.
12:31And knowledge is what makes a person successful in the court of Allah.
12:35Knowledge is what makes a person successful in the court of Allah.
12:36So where will we get this knowledge from?
12:38The biggest source of knowledge is the Qur'an.
12:41The biggest source of knowledge is the Hadith.
12:43And the biggest source of knowledge is the teachings of the religion of Islam.
12:47The Prophet, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, said,
12:50talabul ilm faridatun ala kulli muslim.
12:52The Prophet, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, said,
12:53it is obligatory to seek knowledge from every Muslim.
12:57It is obligatory to seek knowledge from every Muslim.
12:59So that knowledge should definitely be acquired in terms of worldly matters.
13:03I think it was said with the distinction of men and women.
13:06Ala kulli muslim.
13:07There are men and women in Islam.
13:09With your permission, I would like to go on a break.
13:11Inshallah, we will continue this discussion.
13:13Please stay with us.
13:14Ladies and gentlemen, once again,
13:16I am at your service for Roshan Sahib.
13:19Today's topic is very good.
13:20Knowledge and teachings.
13:22And we talk about religious teachings, religious knowledge,
13:24teachings of the religion of Islam,
13:25the knowledge of the religion of Islam,
13:28which Allah Almighty has given us through the Holy Quran,
13:30the biography of the Prophet, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him,
13:33and the statements of the Prophet, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him.
13:39The life of the Prophet, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him,
13:41became a means to convey the knowledge of the Holy Quran to us.
13:45So, today, we are getting to know Mufti Suhail Azam Jadri Sahib
13:49and Mufti Ahmed Munir Noorani Sahib in this regard.
13:54We went on a break, so, Mufti Sahib, we were trying to get to know from you
13:59that what is the best and appropriate way to acquire the knowledge of the religion of Islam?
14:07In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Ever Merciful.
14:09So, I told you in the preliminary discussion
14:12that the biggest source of religious knowledge that we have is the commandment of Allah.
14:16Okay.
14:17And on the second number is the Hadith.
14:19On the third number is the other teachings of the religion of Islam.
14:22Look, the matter is that we should ponder over the Holy Quran,
14:27we should read the Holy Quran.
14:29The Holy Quran has its own blessings.
14:31But the way we go to the experts of the things that we need in other matters,
14:39for example, if you want to build a house, you will consult an engineer.
14:43If you want to get yourself treated, you will go to a doctor
14:48who can help you with the illness that you have.
14:51Similarly, in every matter, what do we do?
14:54We look for an expert and we seek guidance from an expert.
14:57A person and an expert are related.
14:59Yes.
15:00Similarly, when the knowledge of the religion of Islam is important,
15:03as you were saying, there is no life without it.
15:05Without a doubt.
15:06Without it, we cannot be perfect Muslims, nor can we be perfect humans.
15:10Without it, neither can our world progress, nor can our end.
15:14So, how do we acquire the knowledge of the religion of Islam?
15:17We have to acquire it from the Holy Quran.
15:18We have to acquire it from the Hadith.
15:20But how do we acquire it?
15:21We cannot sit at home, open the translation of the Holy Quran,
15:24read it and acquire the knowledge.
15:27We cannot read a translation of a Hadith or read a translation book
15:31and say that we have acquired the knowledge.
15:34Usually, this is not the case.
15:36If we can read books and acquire degrees,
15:38then why do we go to educational institutions?
15:40Why do we go to educational institutions?
15:41And then, there is a theory in it, it is practical.
15:45And in practical, it is necessary to observe an expert.
15:49Without a doubt, we need an assistant.
15:50So, when we have to acquire the knowledge of the religion,
15:54and to acquire it, as I said, is obligatory.
15:56One is obligatory.
15:59There are two types of knowledge of the religion.
16:00One is obligatory for every Muslim.
16:02Salah, ablution, fasting,
16:06lawful and unlawful.
16:08These types of issues are obligatory for every Muslim,
16:11men and women,
16:13which we need in our daily life.
16:15One is obligatory.
16:17So, to acquire the knowledge of the religion,
16:20we will have to go to a scholar, a muhaddith, a mufassir.
16:24We will have to go to an expert teacher.
16:27We will take the initial education from the initial teacher,
16:30and we will take the next education from the expert teacher.
16:33If we want to acquire the knowledge of the Holy Qur'an,
16:36and remember, Allah has said about the Holy Qur'an,
16:38Ar-Rahmanu Allamal Qur'an.
16:40The one who has taught the Qur'an is the Rahman.
16:43Now, see, the Qur'an is such an ocean of knowledge,
16:45that it is not bringing the one who has taught it.
16:48The Rahman is the one who has taught the Qur'an.
16:50So, how much knowledge is there in the Qur'an?
16:53So, to acquire this knowledge,
16:55we will have to go to an expert,
16:57we will have to go to a certified scholar.
16:59Only then will we acquire the knowledge of the religion.
17:02Mashallah.
17:03Mufti Surah Az-Zaman, we are talking about the knowledge of Islam.
17:08What is the significance of knowledge of jurisprudence?
17:12Please tell us.
17:13First of all, I would like to say that,
17:15Can the blind and the seeing be equal?
17:23No, they cannot.
17:25Can darkness and light be equal?
17:27Can darkness and light be equal?
17:29No, they cannot.
17:31Can the shade and the sun be equal?
17:36No, they cannot.
17:38The way these things cannot be equal,
17:43the same way, the one who has knowledge and the one without knowledge
17:47cannot be equal.
17:49Then, the knowledge of every field,
17:52is learned from the one who has that field.
17:54For example, the example given by Allama Sahib,
17:57if your car has broken down,
17:59you will not go to a restaurant to repair it.
18:03You will not go to a mechanic to buy food.
18:08If you have a stomach ache, you will not go to a barber.
18:12You will go to the one who has that field.
18:15I can give more examples,
18:17but I will say that you have to acquire knowledge,
18:21and if you want to acquire religious knowledge,
18:22you will have to go to a religious scholar.
18:25You will have to go to a religious scholar.
18:28Now, let's come to the second point, the knowledge of jurisprudence.
18:30The knowledge of jurisprudence includes the knowledge of theory,
18:36as well as the knowledge of practice.
18:38Now, I am not giving a deep definition of the knowledge of jurisprudence.
18:43I am giving it in such a way that people can easily understand it.
18:49All the knowledge of jurisprudence,
18:53the lawful and unlawful, obligatory and obligatory,
18:59all these things are known as the knowledge of jurisprudence.
19:02What is lawful, what is unlawful, what is permissible, what is not permissible,
19:06what is obligatory, what is obligatory,
19:08all these things are known as the knowledge of jurisprudence.
19:11And this goes on for a lifetime.
19:14Now, remember that when a Muslim has come into this world,
19:19it is obvious that Allah has sent him.
19:22Allah has created him.
19:23So, when he has come into this world,
19:25then he is bound by the commandments of Allah and His rules.
19:31He has to do it.
19:32And according to the instructions given to him,
19:35he has to live his life and he does.
19:38A Muslim does.
19:40Now, I will say that for a Muslim,
19:42it is necessary to have knowledge of lawful, unlawful, permissible and obligatory.
19:47Why?
19:48The reason for that is reason.
19:49That all the deeds and actions of a Muslim,
19:55can only be according to the Shariah
19:58as long as he has knowledge of lawful, unlawful, permissible and unlawful.
20:02If he has knowledge of jurisprudence,
20:04then he will be able to know the Shariah.
20:06That this thing is permissible, I don't want to do it.
20:09This is lawful, I have to avoid it.
20:12This has to do with obligation.
20:13This has to do with obligation.
20:15He will have knowledge of all these things.
20:18He has to do what is permissible.
20:19Only then can he live his life according to the instructions given to him.
20:25The youth of today,
20:27they think a lot,
20:29they understand a lot,
20:31they contemplate a lot,
20:32they reflect a lot.
20:34But now, it is the age of social media.
20:36Whoever has the will,
20:38they keep their mobile in front of them
20:40and say, my brother, let's start.
20:41There is no check and balance.
20:44That is why we said that the religious people,
20:47learn the knowledge of religion from them.
20:48Those who are not religious,
20:50they can say something else.
20:51They can tell jokes, it is their choice.
20:53They can tell stories, it is their choice.
20:55They can tell science, it is their choice.
20:57But if they are not religious,
21:00then they do not have the right to teach religion.
21:03And they should not even learn from them.
21:05Now I will say here,
21:07since it is the age of social media,
21:09the youth of today,
21:12the new generation,
21:13they are being taught this.
21:15Oh brother, Allah has given you thought,
21:18He has given you worry, He has given you feeling,
21:20He has given you knowledge, He has given you intellect.
21:21You think for yourself,
21:23what are the do and don'ts.
21:24What do you have to do, what not to do.
21:26You think for yourself, read for yourself.
21:28You do not need any fatwa.
21:30This is being taught.
21:32You do not know what it is.
21:33You know, this is being taught.
21:35So I say...
21:36This is called mother-father freedom.
21:39Whereas religion is a condition of faith.
21:44They know that if we put the youth of today on this path,
21:48then we do not need to do anything.
21:51They say there is no need for fatwa.
21:52Think for yourself, understand for yourself, do it yourself.
21:54I say that when Allah the Almighty said to Adam,
21:58that now go down to earth.
22:00Qul nahbitu minha jameeah.
22:01Right?
22:02So what did He say along with it?
22:05And He addressed the entire progeny of Adam.
22:12If you receive guidance from Me,
22:18then whoever follows My guidance,
22:23then he will have no fear, no sorrow,
22:25and he will live a comfortable life.
22:28I say, did Allah not know
22:32that this person will have knowledge,
22:34he will have intellect, he will have feelings,
22:36he will have everything, he will contemplate,
22:38he will contemplate.
22:39So why did Allah the Almighty give us this system?
22:42When Allah the Almighty, despite being the creator and master,
22:46is giving us this system,
22:48is giving us the system of guidance,
22:50has given us the religion of Islam,
22:52He is our creator and master,
22:54then it is necessary for us to obey His commandments.
22:59When He knows everything,
23:01He told us, knowingly or unknowingly,
23:04that in every era, there will be prophets and messengers,
23:07they will keep coming,
23:09and you will have to act upon them.
23:11Now in our era, the Prophet came,
23:14till the Day of Judgment, there will be his teachings,
23:16after his prophethood, everything,
23:18the door of prophethood has been closed,
23:20the system has ended,
23:21even the heavenly books,
23:23the Quran has made them ascribed.
23:25Now it will be about the Quran and its owner.
23:28And till the Day of Judgment, this guidance will continue.
23:31And this religion of Islam will continue.
23:33And the one who doesn't believe,
23:35He has already told you about him.
23:37The one who doesn't believe,
23:38he will bring his intellect in the middle,
23:39he will bring his wisdom, his thinking, in the middle.
23:42Allah says,
23:43Those who disbelieve and disown Our verses,
23:45they are the owners of the people.
23:46The one who denies Our verses,
23:48doesn't believe, disowns,
23:50then he will remain in hell and will always remain in it.
23:53May I say one thing?
23:56May I clarify?
23:57It doesn't mean that everyone becomes a Mufti.
24:01Everyone becomes a scholar.
24:03It doesn't mean that at all.
24:04It may come to someone's mind that,
24:07Mufti Sahib is saying that you should acquire this knowledge,
24:09you should do this, you should do that.
24:11No.
24:11I say that it is not necessary that everyone is a scholar and a Mufti,
24:14and it can't be.
24:15It is necessary that you have the knowledge of your affairs.
24:20Yes.
24:20You have to offer Salat.
24:21You have to read the Quran in Salat.
24:23And you have to come to the Quran.
24:25Wudu, this should come.
24:26In the same way, Salat, fasting, this should come.
24:30The commandments should come.
24:32You should know about Haram and Halal.
24:33If you are a Sitaat Sahib,
24:34if you are a Nisaar Sahib,
24:35and you have to pay Zakat,
24:36then who has to give the affairs,
24:37what has to be given, when is it obligatory, when is it obligatory.
24:39All these things should happen.
24:40It doesn't depend on whom.
24:41If you give, it won't be paid.
24:43If you are a Sitaat Sahib,
24:45then the commandments of Hajj,
24:46in the same way, you are doing business.
24:47I say that Islam doesn't make it difficult.
24:50La yuqal hu yufallahu nafsin illa was'aa.
24:52Religion is easy.
24:52It does it according to your capacity.
24:54It doesn't bother you.
24:55But, I say that when you have to buy a house,
24:58you go to ten property dealers.
25:01When you have to buy clothes,
25:02you go to ten shopkeepers,
25:05so that you get a good thing.
25:06When you have to acquire knowledge of religion,
25:08then you have to acquire knowledge.
25:10If you have to do business,
25:11then you have to learn its commandments.
25:13So, I say that whatever your affairs are,
25:16at least acquire them.
25:17The Quran also says this,
25:19falau la nafara min kulli firqatin minhum
25:21pa'ifatun liya tafakkahu fid-deen.
25:23That one of you should be such a group,
25:25who acquires knowledge of religion.
25:27And those who become scholars and Muftis,
25:29it is said,
25:30mayin yuridallahu bi khayran yufaqqihu fid-deen.
25:33With whom Allah wills good,
25:35He grants him tafakku fid-deen.
25:37Oho, it increases with the path of religion.
25:39Amazing.
25:39Ladies and gentlemen,
25:41please stay with us.
25:43Ladies and gentlemen,
25:43for Roshni Sahib and for Roshni Sahib,
25:46today's topic is knowledge and education.
25:49It is a beautiful thing that a person becomes perfect
25:53a person becomes perfect when he acquires knowledge of religion.
25:59That is, a person becomes perfect
26:00when he lives his life successfully in this world,
26:04according to religious teachings,
26:06following the path of Allah and His Messenger,
26:08peace and blessings be upon him.
26:12So, certainly, the person who is successful in this world,
26:14will be successful in the hereafter.
26:16So, it is a person who is perfect,
26:18who has achieved this success in his life.
26:21When we went to the Waqf-e-Jadid,
26:22Respected Mufti Suhail Azam Jadid Sahib told us
26:27that through knowledge of jurisprudence,
26:29that is, what is necessary in life,
26:32how we should live our lives,
26:35what is haram, what is halal,
26:37we should see what is fardh,
26:40and what is wajib,
26:42all other matters,
26:43what is good, what is bad,
26:44while understanding this,
26:45we should understand the teachings of religion.
26:47Now, the question arises, Respected Mufti Ahmad Muneer Noorani Sahib,
26:52that this original and scientific knowledge,
26:55should we acquire it?
26:58In the name of Allah, the Gracious, the Merciful.
27:00Look, religious knowledge is important,
27:04worldly knowledge is also important.
27:07What we call original or scientific knowledge,
27:10is also important in a way.
27:12And the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him,
27:14said with this question,
27:16that knowledge is the lost treasure of a believer.
27:19So, wherever you get it, take it.
27:21And the importance of original knowledge,
27:23you can guess from this,
27:25that on the occasion of the Battle of Badr,
27:27when some disbelievers became prisoners,
27:30some gave alms and were released from their imprisonment.
27:33Some who could not give alms,
27:35the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said,
27:38that you should teach Muslims to write and read.
27:42In return, you will be released.
27:44So, those people taught the Muslim youth to write and read.
27:50Hazrat Zaid bin Thabit, and many other Companions,
27:53learnt to write and read on that occasion.
27:55And later on, they served Islam.
27:58So, remember, knowledge,
27:59every knowledge that benefits humanity,
28:02that benefits man,
28:04that knowledge should be acquired.
28:06And if we look at our history,
28:09where Muslims did great things in religious knowledge,
28:14they protected the actions of the Prophet,
28:16the sayings of the Prophet,
28:18they did a lot of historical work on jurisprudence,
28:20they did a lot of historical work on Tafseer.
28:22Along with that, the Muslim scholars
28:25did a lot of work on science and original knowledge.
28:29If you study science,
28:31if you study philosophy,
28:32if you study logic,
28:34then you will see the achievements of the Muslims,
28:37how much work the Muslims have done.
28:39Because, Alhamdulillah, the book that Allah has given us,
28:42in this book, there is not only religious knowledge,
28:45along with religious knowledge, there is also worldly knowledge.
28:48In this book, Allah has also mentioned science.
28:51In this book, Allah has also mentioned the wisdom of the heavens and the earth,
28:55and the hidden things.
28:57Whatever the scientists are describing today,
29:00in the Holy Qur'an, it is known that it was mentioned long ago.
29:03It was mentioned long ago, and Mashallah, Hazrat is present.
29:05The scholars say that those scientists who did research on the Qur'an,
29:11and those who did research on Islam,
29:13those who did research with justice,
29:15they were blessed with faith.
29:16Those scientists became Muslims after reading the Qur'an.
29:19The Holy Qur'an has so much depth and knowledge.
29:22So, what did the Prophet Muhammad say to the Muslims?
29:27That, seek knowledge.
29:29Allah said, seek knowledge.
29:31If you have to go to China, if you have to go so far,
29:35still go, but seek knowledge.
29:38And the Prophet Muhammad, peace and blessings be upon him,
29:41with this emphasis,
29:42encouraged the Companions to learn worldly matters.
29:45So, Islam allows us to do this.
29:49In fact, it obliges us to, along with religious knowledge,
29:52acquire skills in scientific and worldly sciences.
29:56And in worldly sciences, we should remember,
29:59that worldly and scientific knowledge,
30:02which we get according to the Qur'an and Hadith,
30:04we should try to spread them.
30:08Along with that, in worldly sciences,
30:11in which Muslims benefit, in which humanity benefits,
30:14whether it is in terms of medicine,
30:16whether it is in terms of construction and development,
30:18or in other ways,
30:19they should also be acquired.
30:20And Islam encourages this.
30:23Islam encourages this.
30:25And the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him,
30:27you see, where does knowledge begin?
30:29When a person is in the lap of his mother,
30:32that is where knowledge begins.
30:33And Islam has not specified an age to acquire knowledge.
30:37From birth to death.
30:39From birth to death.
30:41Whenever you get the opportunity to acquire knowledge,
30:44you should keep acquiring knowledge.
30:46And wherever you get knowledge from,
30:48you should keep learning,
30:49whether it is religious knowledge or worldly knowledge.
30:51But you should remember this,
30:53that Allah has stated the four ranks of the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him,
30:57which were the objectives of his coming.
30:58Allah says in Surah Al-Baqarah,
30:59Allah has favoured the believers because He sent a Messenger of Greatness among them.
31:06What has that Messenger come to do?
31:08He has come to recite the verses of Allah.
31:15And he has come to purify their souls.
31:17He has come to teach them the Book and the Wisdom.
31:22He has come to teach them the knowledge of Wisdom.
31:24This knowledge of Wisdom,
31:25this worldly knowledge, religious knowledge, and scientific knowledge,
31:28the scholars have gathered all the knowledge in this,
31:31that the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him,
31:33has come as a teacher.
31:35He has come as a teacher of the universe.
31:37In fact, he has come as the greatest teacher of humanity.
31:41Therefore, the teachings of the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him,
31:43are that you should acquire religious knowledge and worldly knowledge.
31:47And to acquire worldly knowledge is for the sake of religion.
31:49To become purely worldly,
31:51and to become so immersed in the world that you don't come to religion.
31:55To become so immersed that you don't offer Salah or read the Quran.
31:58No, to acquire worldly knowledge is for the sake of religion.
32:01The Creator of the universe has sent you here for the formation of the universe.
32:06For the formation of the universe.
32:07Yes, that is why He has made you His deputy.
32:09And Allah has said in the Holy Quran
32:11that you should ponder over the verses of Allah,
32:13the signs of Allah, the existence of Allah.
32:16And He has said that you should ponder over the signs of this world.
32:21This is called the world because it is the sign of the existence of God.
32:25So, acquire worldly knowledge with the intention
32:27that we will serve humanity.
32:29And at the same time, through this knowledge,
32:31we will recognise the Creator of the universe.
32:33So that our faith is strong.
32:35Therefore, remember that you should acquire religious knowledge
32:39and worldly knowledge.
32:41You should acquire knowledge that is beneficial.
32:43Absolutely.
32:44Sir, now we come to the topic of the knowledge of history.
32:47Please shed light on its significance.
32:49Look, Kabila Mukhtar Sahib has stated in a very beautiful way
32:53that we should acquire new knowledge.
32:56So, this verse of the Holy Quran,
32:57that you should acquire every power according to that time.
33:03So, it includes the power of knowledge.
33:06Where there are other powers, there is also the power of knowledge.
33:08When the Holy Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him,
33:10made the first declaration of prophethood,
33:13the first time, openly,
33:16where did he stand?
33:18He stood on a mountain.
33:20Why?
33:20Because that was the best medium of that time.
33:23Yes.
33:23He adopted it.
33:24He reached the people.
33:25Yes.
33:26In the same way, in the time of Sayyiduna Siddique Akbar,
33:30the Holy Quran was written, right?
33:32Yes.
33:32It was collected at one place.
33:33It was on the leaves of the trees, on the shelves, on the bones.
33:37Sayyiduna Siddique Akbar, the best medium of that time,
33:40also adopted it.
33:42In this way, I can give other examples as well.
33:44It is full.
33:45With time, the mediums kept changing.
33:47The resources kept increasing.
33:48In terms of modern times, the mediums,
33:51in terms of modern times, the resources,
33:54the education,
33:55the Muslims should be in the very first row.
33:58Amazing.
33:59Right?
34:00The second thing is that you talked about the knowledge of history.
34:03In the human mind, there is a very important thing,
34:07the memory.
34:08If there is no memory, then...
34:09That is why Ashraf-ul-Makruh...
34:11He does not remember.
34:12He does not remember what happened yesterday or an hour ago.
34:15In the same way, he said that for every nation,
34:18the status of history is like this memory.
34:23Whenever a person makes a new decision,
34:26he keeps an eye on past experiences and decisions.
34:31It is said that every new knowledge is learned from the old knowledge.
34:34Yes, it is like that.
34:36He keeps an eye on past experiences and decisions.
34:40And he learns from them.
34:43He also learns from them.
34:44The commandments that the Quran has given us,
34:47it has said at many places that we did this to the previous nation.
34:51They did not listen to us, so we did this.
34:54They did not listen to us, so we did this.
34:56There are many instances.
34:57In fact, if you study the 8th Parah,
35:01the second half,
35:03then around the 3rd Parah,
35:07the mention of the nation of Noah begins,
35:10then the mention of the nation of Hud,
35:12then the mention of the nation of Saleh,
35:13then the mention of the nation of Lut,
35:14then the mention of the nation of Shoaib.
35:16So, Allah has mentioned many nations of the past.
35:22And along with this,
35:24Allah has given the history of many nations.
35:27He has given the reasons for their rise and fall.
35:31This is the style of the Quran.
35:33It is the style of Allah that He has explained,
35:35but He has also mentioned the incidents of the past.
35:40So, now I will say that just like this,
35:42when we study history,
35:43it has one purpose.
35:45When we study history, what is the purpose?
35:47That we should remember our past.
35:50And in the light of what we have learned from the past,
35:53we should arrange our future, our present and future.
35:57And we should make decisions on that.
35:59And those mistakes that are in the past, in history,
36:02we should not repeat them.
36:03Some people have a habit that when they go back in history,
36:08they do not go back to the present and future.
36:12They do not go back to the present and future.
36:14They keep beating the past.
36:16You are right.
36:17This is absolutely wrong.
36:19Because whatever you want to do, you have to do it in the present.
36:21They beat the past.
36:22This is absolutely wrong.
36:24And this should not be done.
36:25They do it wrong.
36:27Because when we study history,
36:28we should note that there are some shortcomings in it.
36:32We should keep that in mind.
36:35So that we do not forget that we have to keep this in mind.
36:38Number one.
36:39History is analog.
36:42It is not digital.
36:44Not every digit is digital.
36:45If we talk about a person or a nation,
36:47we talk about everything.
36:50But we do not talk about everything.
36:51Remember this.
36:52Right.
36:53The second thing is that history is a historical number.
36:57It is not a Muhaddith.
36:59This is also right.
36:59Do you understand?
37:01If it is not a Muhaddith, then it does not state the records.
37:04It does not state the records of this or that narrator.
37:07Even if there are records,
37:10they do not meet the standards of Jara and Tadeel.
37:13They do not meet those criteria.
37:14That is why historians say that
37:16if I have quoted this incident,
37:18then the narrator's neck is full of lies.
37:20Right?
37:21The liar's neck is full of lies.
37:23So we should see that when we study history,
37:27we should learn from it.
37:28We should gain experience.
37:30And we should not get lost in it.
37:32And the second thing is that we should learn from it.
37:34Experience and future decisions
37:37should not be based on what is wrong.
37:41The second thing is that we should understand that
37:44not everything in history is true.
37:46Yes.
37:47So we cannot fully believe in it.
37:50To fully believe in it,
37:51if we have some resources,
37:54then it is only from the Quran.
37:56Wow.
37:56So it is only from the Hadith.
37:58There is nothing else.
37:59Thank you very much, Mufti Suhail Azzam Jadid Sahib.
38:01Respected Mufti Ahmed Munir Noorani Sahib.
38:03Ladies and gentlemen,
38:04with the light that we have spread today,
38:07with respect to the religion of Islam,
38:09with the title of knowledge and education,
38:11be benefited from it.
38:13Because this is our path.
38:15And this is our biggest source.
38:18Allow me to take your leave.
38:20Allah Hafiz.
