00:00President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. is aiming to bring assistance to our countrymen who are in the midst of a typhoon in the Bicol region.

00:08The President wants to assure that he will be able to provide the necessary assistance from food to medical care.

00:15This is Clayzer Pardilla of PTV in Balitang Pambansa.

00:19Lula of C-130. President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. sent these assistance from Metro Manila to the Bicol region in the midst of a typhoon in the Christina region.

00:34Some satellites were brought to the region to have a communication line, generator set, and water filtration that will temporarily supply electricity and clean water.

00:46Toneto of Processed Meat Products and 1,000 boxes of canned goods arrived from the private sector.

00:54Aside from this, 1,000 food packs and hygiene kits were distributed by the Department of Social Welfare and Development.

01:01Four truckloads of rice were sent by the National Food Authority to the victims of the typhoon.

01:08We have a system to help all the victims. And all of that is in place.

01:16President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. received P80,000 in financial assistance for the province of Albay and the town of Naga.

01:24The President assured that he will provide the necessary assistance to the victims of the calamity and continued rescue operations to those who were trapped in floods and landslides.

01:37There are other places that are still being rescued.

01:41But of course, those in the evacuation centers that are being given relief goods,

01:46we saw that cash benefits have already started to be given so that the people can go home.

01:57When they go home, they will have money for their needs.

02:02But we will continue to provide them with food packs as long as they can cook for themselves.

02:12The President also ordered the additional medical teams to be sent to Bicol.

02:18Public hospitals in Naga City are still open, but most of the people are deployed in evacuation centers.

02:27The Punong Ejecutivo also assured that the supply of medicine is sufficient.

02:32So for the medical concerns, it's usually the medicines that we have to look up.

02:40First, the prophylaxis for the leptospirosis and all of the other diseases that come with the flooding.

02:52Hygiene kits, the same thing. We have enough. We have enough supply.

02:59The health department promised P142 million for medical assistance to the victims of the Christina Flood.
