00:00As of 10 in the evening,
00:02we are now at the coastal waters of the town of Palanan in Isabela,
00:06the center of this typhoon Christine.
00:08The wind is still blowing at 95 km per hour,
00:11close to its center,
00:12and there is a gust of up to 130 km per hour.
00:16It is now moving eastward at a speed of 20 km per hour.
00:21What you can see here in our satellite animation
00:24is the strong shift of rain from Bicol Region in Quezon Province
00:28towards the area closest to the center of this typhoon Christine,
00:33where the strong rains will affect a large part of Cagayan Valley,
00:38as well as nearby areas in the central zone,
00:40especially Nueva Ecija and Aurora.
00:43In the next few hours,
00:45a large part of Cordillera Region,
00:48Ilocos Region,
00:49and several parts of Central Luzon will be affected.
00:52Based on our latest satellite animation,
00:54we are not yet surrounded by cloud clusters that could cause a typhoon,
00:58but in the far east of our country,
01:00we are monitoring a low-pressure area,
01:02and we will have an update on that in the next few days.
01:07This is the latest track of hope regarding the severe tropical storm Christine.
01:11In the next 12 hours,
01:12the typhoon Christine will move westward
01:17and will cross Cagayan Valley.
01:19It may landfall in Isabela before midnight.
01:23It will also cross Cordillera Region and Ilocos Region
01:26until tomorrow morning in the west Philippine Sea
01:30on the left side of Ilocos Region.
01:34From tomorrow morning until tomorrow evening,
01:37the typhoon Christine is expected to move slowly westward in Ilocos Region.
01:42From tomorrow evening until Friday afternoon,
01:46the typhoon Christine will move westward
01:48and will leave our Philippine Area of Responsibility
01:51as a severe tropical storm.
01:57We are not taking away the chance
01:59that while the typhoon Christine will cross Cordillera and Caraballo Mountains,
02:03it will weaken as a tropical storm,
02:05but it will re-intensify as a severe tropical storm
02:09when it reaches our ocean in the west Philippine Sea.
02:13In our latest track,
02:15the typhoon Christine is still wide
02:18at around 700 to 800 kilometers in radius.

02:27and it still covers a large part of the Luzon.
