00:19Today's video is all about the Vivo V23 Pro, and I'm really excited to check this phone out because
00:25the V20 series has been home to a lot of great selfie phones. Without further ado, let's get to it.
00:31Vivo V23 Pro. That's a shiny little box. It is a 5G phone with easy access to the
00:38Google Apps you use most, and it tells me that I have sunshine gold.
00:44Nice. So we have the phone, but let's look at what else is in the box.
00:48Quick start guide, 44 watt power brick, USB-C power cord, earphones,
01:02dongle, and of course a SIM tool. That's a really cute and unique shape. Right, time for the phone.
01:09So it says on the plastic that there's a proximity sensor and an ambient light sensor up here,
01:14plus a receiver. On display, fingerprint scanner.
01:21Oh wow, that is pretty.
01:26Look at that. So we have Vivo branding up here. That is a matte back. Look at the light bounce
01:33off of this phone. I love the camera module. That gold, rose gold, it looks good. This is also a very
01:41sleek device, as you can see. On the right, that's a volume rocker, power button. Bottom gives you
01:47speakers, USB-C port, SIM tray. That is a dual SIM situation right there. That is a curved display
01:55and up top, professional photography. Right, let's power this phone up and set it up. In the meantime,
02:02a montage.
02:26So one thing about this phone that I've been really curious about, the back is supposedly
02:30color-changing glass. So we're gonna see how that goes. This is what color the phone is now
02:37and I put on some tape on here. We're gonna go out to the sun.
02:44It's still yellow from this angle.
02:45Oh my god, do you see that? What?
02:57And here's the phone now. So we are in the same spot where we started but you can definitely see
03:04that color change. That was just like a few minutes, not even five. That's actually pretty
03:11cool. I mean, aside from that, other highlights include this AMOLED curved screen display. There
03:17are two selfie cameras and of course, that's a 108 megapixel main camera on a 5G phone.
03:24The stripe's almost gone.
03:32Here we go, friends. Camera tour time. But let's take a second to appreciate that color. It is also
03:39a very sleek phone. And as you guys saw, there is a notch but here's the thing, there are two
03:45selfie cameras up there and we're gonna check them out in the tour. Alright, so let's go to camera.
03:50So we have photo, wide, 1x, 2x, up until 10x right there. What does this mean? Oh, so you have
04:03portrait mode. So that's basically AI and since it detected a person, it gave you the option to do
04:09portrait mode straight from here. You have your different filters and then up here, Google Lens,
04:14you have flash settings, you have HDR settings, and then you have super macro mode. Under settings,
04:22you also have size, timer, phrasing lines, level meter, effects master, watermark,
04:29motion autofocus. That's a lot of different settings. And then on the right here, you have
04:34video. You can do wide, 1x, 2x, up until 10x. You have aperture settings and you can turn it off
04:44or you can turn it on and then it'll give you 16 to an aperture of 1. Look at how blurry the
04:51background is at 1. You have beauty mode on here. You have your different filters. Up here, flash
04:59settings, you have an ultra steady mode and a standard steady mode. So as you can see, the ultra
05:06crops in. Super night mode on video. Under settings, you also have 4k. Can you do 4k 60? Yes, you can.
05:15Although that is only limited to 1x, up until 10x. You have framing lines, level meter, movie mode.
05:23It gives you those cinematic black bars. See? You have motion autofocus and teleprompter. This
05:29is a pretty cool feature and this is the first I've seen this. Basically, you change the text here.
05:36There are different settings from text size to the scrolling speed and when you record,
05:42it'll scroll up. So it's basically a built-in teleprompter. This is the first time I've seen
05:46this feature on any phone. And when we look at the video, of course, the text isn't there. Perfect.
05:52And then under more, you have high resolution. So this shoots at 108 megapixels. You have a
05:58pano mode, a live photo mode, slow-mo mode, time lapse. This is pro photo. You also have AR stickers,
06:06a document scanner, pro sports, double exposure. So it gives you like this effect in photos.
06:15Ooh, nice. Then there's also a dual view mode and you can move this around or change the type
06:22of framing. Now, on the other side, we have a portrait mode and, of course, you have the
06:31aperture here. Ooh, this is 0.95. Look at the blur. And then 16. You also have different portrait
06:40mode effects. This doesn't do well in situations like this but we'll try to test that out later.
06:46And let me know if you want to see a camera vlog tour to see all of these features. There
06:51is your beauty mode. Again, very detailed. You have, what is this, style? Ooh, different like filter effects.
07:02Oh, and then there's filter too which is different from style. Up here, you have settings. You also
07:08have HDR settings. And then you have your night mode. You're advised to use the tripod. Tripod
07:15detection. Panorama night mode. That's cool. And then you have your setting. You also can do wide,
07:231x, 2x, up until 10x. And then there is these different styles that I feel like are hand-picked
07:35for like night mode shots. Selfie time. So first off, again, two selfie cameras. So you have a wide
07:43and you have 1x. Now, this is on night mode and you have flash settings. You also have, ooh,
07:50there are spotlights. I didn't know these had dual spotlight. I mean, I can't really say I'm
07:55surprised. It's also a V20 series in the last few years. I can't remember which one it is that
08:01offered like dual selfie spotlights. So yeah, but I didn't know they had it on this phone. You have
08:07HD settings up here. The same settings. And then you have, again, a very detailed beauty mode. Now,
08:16just a quick reminder, like I always say, the beauty mode is fun, but remember that you should
08:21use it to enhance how you look and not change how you look. You get what I mean? Use it just like
08:27makeup to enhance the real you. We have the portrait mode here. And then we have wide, 1x.
08:33You have your aperture settings and can blur up until 0.95. Again, look at the back. It's all
08:39like blurry. You have your different filters. Beauty mode. Ooh. And this is what I like about
08:46Vivo phones. They have these makeup filters that make it look so natural. So no makeup with makeup.
08:53And you can toggle intensity and you can also like pick every single thing on that filter.
09:02So if you want to change your lipstick, your eyebrows, blush, eye makeup, bronzer, everything.
09:08It's pretty detailed and it's such a great like photo hack, honestly. Do it in a way where it
09:14doesn't look fake. I love this. We also have posture and this is something we've seen on Vivo
09:21phones. Basically, it gives you an outline of different poses. So this is the pose. It gives
09:25you an outline. And in theory, that'll help you get like better, more Instagrammable photos. Always
09:31gotta give it to Vivo to have like all these extra selfie features. And then you have flash
09:38settings, HDR settings, HD portrait, and again more setting. On photo, you have 1x. You also have wide.
09:47And then you have your different filters. You have the same stuff up there. Finally, on video, you
09:54have wide selfie video. 1x, you have your different aperture settings. You have your beauty mode,
10:01you also have all the different style features. So different filters, different styles. And then
10:08you have flash settings, HDR settings. You have a steady mode on selfie video. I really like that.
10:15And you also have steady face, which is a feature, again, we've seen on Vivo phones. You have
10:21night mode selfie video. And then you can shoot in 4K, 60fps on selfie video. Also,
10:32teleprompter on selfie video. And then we are back to more, which we've already seen. So
10:37time for some sample photos.
