00:00In this video, we're taking a look at the Pocowatch.
00:02🎵
00:26Good day, you beautiful people.
00:27Welcome to Ysa Does Tech, where we do tech in your life, in style.
00:30And you just watched the unboxing of the Pocowatch.
00:34This is actually Poco's first smartwatch,
00:36so I'm pretty curious to see just what it can do,
00:39how good it is,
00:40and, well, if it's something that I'd like on my wrist.
00:44Let's get to it.
00:45Onto my experiences with the watch thus far.
00:50The Pocowatch connects to your phone via Bluetooth through the Mi Fitness app.
00:55Yes, the same Mi Fitness app you use for Xiaomi wearables.
00:59Setup is quick and painless,
01:00and this watch will work with any phone that you can install the Mi Fitness app to.
01:06That includes iPhones.
01:08So this is what the Mi Fitness app looks like.
01:11As you can see, Pocowatch is connected.
01:13It shows you the battery.
01:15You have your different watch faces here,
01:18and then you can get even more online app notifications.
01:22It allows you to sort of mirror your phone notifications,
01:26or you can do custom notifications and switch which apps you'd like to get alerts to.
01:31You have incoming call settings,
01:34you have background permissions,
01:36heart rate, sleep, blood oxygen, stress monitoring, standing,
01:40and you can do continuous monitoring of every minute for heart rate.
01:45Under sleep, you can do advanced monitoring,
01:48which shows you your REM sleep.
01:51Under blood oxygen, you can turn it on during sleep,
01:55and that'll add to your sleep data.
01:57You have stress monitoring.
01:59Let me turn that on.
02:01You have standing alerts.
02:03You also have apps, your camera.
02:06Now, this allows you to control your camera via the watch.
02:11You have your different workouts.
02:12Now, there are a lot of these workouts.
02:17And then you have your widgets, which you can arrange as well.
02:21App layout.
02:23You can make it into a list.
02:24Race to wake, unlock phone, and then other details.
02:29On the health side, it shows you your daily stats,
02:33and then you have info on your workout.
02:37So it gives you week, month, year, and everything in one go.
02:44You have heart rate.
02:45Even your heart rate zones are here.
02:48Steps, calories.
02:51You have moving data, standing data,
02:55blood oxygen stress, cycles, weight,
02:58SpO2, blood pressure, and headphone exposure.
03:02If you tap show all, it gives you like all the stuff
03:05you can input on the Mi Fitness app.
03:08Now, again, not all of them necessarily comes from the watch.
03:11Like for example, for blood pressure or for cycles,
03:14those are stuff you'll have to input.
03:16Under workout, you have like, let's say, outdoor running
03:19because this watch does have GPS enabled.
03:22Walking treadmill.
03:23Ooh, you have Mi treadmill.
03:25And by the way, I've been thinking of getting this treadmill.
03:29So this is a good sign.
03:31And then you have Discover, but they're all in Chinese for some reason.
03:34And then we're back to device.
03:37And then we're back to profile.
03:39Onto the Poco Watch.
03:40So you have the stats.
03:41Press and hold, and it'll allow you to change your wallpaper.
03:46This one's pretty cute.
03:47Swipe to the right, you get the stats.
03:50And this, you can adjust really on the app as you saw earlier.
03:54Swipe to the left, you get the same apps or widgets.
03:58Swipe down, you get notifications from your phone.
04:01Swipe up gives you this quick menu.
04:04And then this button here, when you press,
04:07brings you to the menu.
04:08So you have all your different like apps or widgets,
04:12whatever you want to call it, for workout.
04:14You have your activity log.
04:17You have your stats for the day, heart rate, SPO2 tracking.
04:22You have sleep data.
04:25There is stress levels.
04:27You have a breathing timer, cycles, weather, music, the camera widget.
04:35You have alarm, timer, stopwatch, a compass.
04:38Your notifications are also here.
04:41Find your phone.
04:43And then settings.
05:01Now, I really like the size of the screen on this watch.
05:04It's basically wide enough but not too big.
05:08I have tiny wrists and that screen size doesn't look too big for me.
05:12Also, this is a pretty lightweight wearable,
05:13so it's not hard to have this on 24-7.
05:17It's a very comfortable wear.
05:18And can even fit smaller wrists.
05:20I have mine on the second to the last hole.
05:23I love the fact that it comes in white.
05:25I feel like that's definitely a hack.
05:28As long as a wearable comes in white,
05:30it immediately looks way better for me.
05:33I just feel like white is a more neutral color.
05:36And despite this thing like having silicone straps,
05:38it still looks great with outfits.
05:40And I mean outfits that are not for working out.
05:43Now, I know that some of you are scared of white.
05:45I'm scared of white.
05:46But I will say that the white on this watch is not like glaring white.
05:50It's a type of white that's not so white,
05:53so it looks okay even if like it's gone through the motions of life.
05:57I have pink hair and this literally stains everything it touches when it's wet.
06:02And this did get onto the strap of this watch.
06:05Basically what happens when you nap and you have wet hair and you do this.
06:08Let me tell you, it wasn't good.
06:10I had like a big pink stain over here.
06:12At this point, I was fully convinced that like I've ruined this watch's strap.
06:16But lo and behold, a few days later, it sort of just rubbed off.
06:20So if any, I feel like that's one true test of how these white straps will fare in everyday life.
06:28You can get message alerts from your phone on the Poco watch,
06:32but you can't really reply or answer calls.
06:35There's a fun camera remote feature that allows you to take
06:39remote photos and use the watch as a shutter.
06:42And as you guys saw from the app and phone tour,
06:44this thing can track your steps, your calories, your sleep,
06:48your standing hours, stress levels, and blood oxygen levels.
06:53This thing tracks your exercise and it has an extensive list of different exercise types,
06:59including not so common ones like hula hooping,
07:03which is cool for me because this is something I've been trying lately.
07:07There's built-in GPS for running and outdoor hiking and stuff like that.
07:12And you can also change your goals per workout.
07:14And for example, for exercises like HIIT, you can add timers and interval pauses,
07:19which is pretty useful when you do this type of workout.
07:24In terms of battery, Poco claims that this thing will last you two weeks or 14 days.
07:29Now, I've not had this on my wrist that long,
07:31but I will say that ever since I've unboxed it, it hasn't died yet.
07:35It's been like a week, so it's looking good.
07:39Right, final thoughts.
07:41I feel like the Poco watch is a good first watch.
07:43Basically something I can recommend to people looking for a quick alternative
07:47to a fitness wearable that they can have on their wrist 24-7
07:51because it looks nice enough.
07:52If someone wants something with a bigger screen but something not too clunky,
07:57on the spectrum of smartwatches and fitness wearables,
08:01I'd say this skews towards the fitness wearable.
08:04Covers your fitness basics and more,
08:06gives you just enough smart notifications from your phone
08:10while being comfy enough to wear and good enough to pair with your outfits.
08:15All in all, a watch that I definitely like having on my wrist.
08:18That's it for today.
08:19Let me know what your thoughts are on the Poco watch.
