00:00It is now being celebrated as the 80th anniversary of the Gulf landings in Leyte

00:05where General Douglas MacArthur released the historical figure, I Shall Return.

00:23because it is a victory that the country has returned.

00:26That is why American General Douglas MacArthur,

00:31even though of course the greatness and sacrifices for the country of our war veterans.

00:38It was past 8 in the morning when the 80th Commemoration Program

00:44at MacArthur Landing Memorial National Park in Leyte about the Leyte Gulf Landings began.

00:50This is the historic return of the Allied Forces in 1944

00:54to the leadership of American General Douglas MacArthur

00:57who judged for the Philippines to use the freedom from the Japanese during World War II.

01:03The program was led by Defense Secretary Gilberto Todoro Jr.

01:07House Speaker Martin Romualdez and other government officials were also involved,

01:13as were the bodies of other countries.

01:23so that we can use the freedom that we are enjoying now.

01:27They will continue to fight for peace and order in the country

01:32so that the differences of our ancestors will not be forgotten.

01:38In the ceremony, different patriotic performances were also given to the public.

01:55which is also a way of recognizing the 80th Commemoration of the Leyte Gulf Landings.
