00:00The DSWD is in need of volunteers who will help in packing relief goods that will be distributed to the affected areas of Baguiong Christine.

00:16Dayan, the Philippine Area of Responsibility has not yet released the Baguiong Christine.

00:22The area of Baguio Christine is already wide, that's why many food packs will be needed.

00:28That's why the Department of Social Welfare and Development, or DSWD, called for help.

00:36The National Resource Operations Center of the Department of Social Welfare and Development, or DSWD, needs volunteers for extra manpower.

00:46The DSWD is in need of volunteers who will help in packing relief goods so that it can be distributed continuously.

00:53This is what the government said in their weekly news forum.

00:57Our call for volunteers is continuous because right now we're doing the repacking of our FEPs in our National Resource Operations Center here in Chapin Road, Pasay.

01:12The volunteers are mainly students and some individuals who are under cash for work.

01:19We can proceed to our NROC in Chapin Road, Pasay and our staff will accommodate.

01:27According to the DSWD, they have P1.4 billion worth of stockpile or relief goods.

01:36More than P1.9 million worth of relief goods have been distributed by the government.

01:43Quintilla also said that they are also contacting the National Food Authority, or NFA, to ensure that there is enough rice to be distributed to the affected areas of Baguio Christine.

01:56There are 36,000 bags that contain 50 kilos of rice from the NFA that was obtained in Region 3.

02:04For another request, NFA, thank you very much that we are now referred to Region 3 again.

02:10This is the support of the NFA in the operation of the DSWD.

02:15The family food packs contain 6 kilos of rice.

02:18Aside from that, there are coffee and other canned goods that are enough for 5 family members.

02:26The DSWD assured that they will not leave any help to the affected areas of Baguio Christine.

02:35All transportation will be used by sea, by land and by air.

02:40As long as the flood-hit areas are reached.

02:43They will also coordinate with the Philippine Coast Guard.
