00:00The Department of Social Welfare and Development, or DSWD,
00:04has promised assistance for repatriated OFWs from Lebanon.
00:08According to DSWD Assistant Secretary Aileen Dumlao,
00:11their social workers will talk to the 47 OFWs
00:16who will arrive today from the said country
00:19to find out what assistance they can provide.
00:23Dumlao also promised that the OFWs will receive financial assistance
00:27under the Assistance to Individuals in Crisis Situation, or AICS.
00:32They can also be provided with assistance for their livelihood
00:35under the Sustainable Livelihood Program.
00:39Our social workers need to interview
00:42these repatriated overseas Filipino workers
00:46because assistance to individuals in crisis situation,
00:49particularly cash assistance,
00:51may be just one of the interventions.
00:55SAS mentioned earlier that they can also provide assistance for their livelihood
00:58because they will be out of work for a long time.
