00:00Previously, on The Celebrity Apprentice, after Empresario's fifth devastating loss, Mr. Trump
00:13decided to switch up the teams.
00:15This is the new Hydra on my left, the new Empresario on my right.
00:19But Pierce wasn't happy with his new teammate Omarosa.
00:22Omarosa, you think you're going to get along with Pierce?
00:25I've worked with the scums in Horsham.
00:27Scums?
00:28I think that's off to a bad start.
00:30And the teams were off to run horse and carriage rides in Central Park.
00:33Carriage rides for charity!
00:36Empresario enjoyed their new team, and they worked well together.
00:39I really believe I had the best team.
00:41It's a different energy.
00:43While on Hydra, Omarosa's hatred of Pierce took things to a shocking new low.
00:48The mother of your children hates you, Pierce, and your children hate you.
00:51Leave my kids out of it.
00:53You foul-mouthed little tramp!
00:55But even with the team in complete dysfunction...
00:57You're fired!
00:58I ain't going nowhere, son!
00:59Hydra managed to pull out a win.
01:01Despite everything, $65,000 to your favorite charity, Pierce.
01:06Mr. Trump solved Hydra's volatile situation.
01:09Omarosa, I'm going to ask you to go on the other team.
01:12And then he made a surprising decision.
01:14This is the single hardest firing I've ever had.
01:19This team really understands that this is all about charity,
01:22and I'm feeling charitable.
01:25I'm firing no one.
01:27And Mary Lou, you're going to the other team.
01:41Oh!
01:42Cheers.
01:44To impresario for you.
01:45Impresario, here I come!
01:48Yes.
01:49Thank you, Mr. Trump.
01:51He really likes me.
01:53He really, really likes me.
01:56And he showed how much he liked me by moving me away
01:59from that wretched human being.
02:01I was leaving that trash behind.
02:04Hi, Trace.
02:06Hello.
02:06Where's Mary Lou?
02:08Trace, where's Mary Lou?
02:10Yay!
02:12Hi, honey!
02:16We guessed, right?
02:17Yeah, we guessed right.
02:18Oh, wait, what happened?
02:19Here's Steven.
02:19Yes, we got him.
02:22What happened?
02:24Nobody got fired.
02:24Nobody got fired.
02:27First time ever on the show.
02:29The fact that nobody got fired was a big surprise,
02:32because I thought somebody was definitely on their way out.
02:34But ultimately, it's up to Mr. Trump.
02:37But I do get to come on your team.
02:38You get to come, but I have to come here.
02:40Mary Lou's coming here?
02:41Yeah, so it's us four.
02:43Great.
02:44We got Mary Lou instead of Omarosa,
02:46which is a bit like replacing the devil with Nelson Mandela,
02:50to be honest.
02:51Let's leave.
02:53Mary Lou for Omarosa.
02:55There is a God.
02:57Omarosa's so offensive about my family,
02:59I don't want to share any space with her at all.
03:02I don't ever want to talk to Omarosa again in my entire life.
03:26Some people really need it.
03:30Listen to me, y'all.
03:31Do thangs, do thangs, do thangs, bad thangs with it.
03:38Dollar bills, y'all.
03:40Come on, bad deal.
03:43Oh, give me grief.
03:47Oh, mighty dollar.
03:49I don't know that money.
03:53Give me a nickel, brother.
03:55Can you spell that?
03:58Money can drive some people out of their mind.
04:05No good, no good money.
04:08Money, money, money, money.
04:10Hey, Mr. White, how are you?
04:22I'm doing fine, thanks.
04:24The Intrepid Fallen Heroes Fund supports the families left behind
04:28when their loved ones are bereaved fighting in the military.
04:32Well, the reason I chose your charity, Bill,
04:34is that my own brother has just returned from Iraq,
04:38where he fought in the British Army.
04:40And obviously a lot of men that he knew in the U.S. Marine Corps didn't go home.
04:44And I believe it is the patriotic duty of every American and every Brit
04:48to support our boys out there doing a hell of a difficult job.
04:52And if they do lose their lives, at least we should do it, put our hands in our pocket.
04:56I've got some very good news for you, Bill.
04:58I've got a check in my hands here for $64,857.
05:05Oh, my God, are you kidding me?
05:07Boy, this is terrific, Piers. This is fantastic.
05:10I'm going to try and win this thing and get you a load more money.
05:14Well, that's great.
05:15In the end, that moment to me brought it all back to the right level,
05:18which is why I'm really here.
05:20I don't want to have any more arguments.
05:22It was the kind of reality check I needed,
05:24which was just to cool things down a bit
05:27and remember we're here to raise money for charity.
05:30God bless you.
05:31Take care, Bill. Bye.
05:34♪♪♪
05:44♪♪♪
05:54Lo and behold, we got to the location today.
05:57There's nothing more exciting than seeing those choppers and the size of them
06:01and knowing that we're going to take a ride someplace.
06:03Good morning.
06:04Good morning.
06:05That was some boardroom.
06:07There was no way to make a decision last night.
06:10The next time, I guarantee somebody will be fired.
06:13Now, one of the great companies that you'll ever deal with is QVC.
06:18You're going to get onto these helicopters.
06:21You'll be traveling to QVC in Pennsylvania.
06:25You are going to write, direct,
06:28and produce a 10-minute live segment on QVC.
06:34You're going to pick a product and sell it.
06:38If you pick the same product,
06:40you're going to have to negotiate as to who gets what.
06:44I'll be watching live on QVC.
06:49Now, the team that makes the most money wins.
06:53The project manager on the winning team will receive $20,000 for his or her favorite charity.
07:00Empresarial, who's going to be your project manager?
07:03If I'm PM, I also want to direct a commercial.
07:06If you're cool with that, then I'll do that.
07:09Steven, who is going to be your project manager?
07:12I will be Mr. Trump.
07:14Very good. I think that's a very good choice.
07:16Hydra, who's going to be your project manager?
07:20Well, the most vivid shopper we have is Mary Lou.
07:24It would be right also because she hasn't won any money for her charity yet.
07:28Do you feel okay about being project manager?
07:30So far. I'm on a learning curve here.
07:33She's joining a winning team, Mr. Trump.
07:35All right, good. Well, it is a good team.
07:37And it's nice that you're not with Omarosa. Do we agree?
07:40Whatever. That was yesterday.
07:43This time, I promise you, somebody will be fired.
07:46Go. Thank you.
07:48We can't lose. Because if we lose, someone's getting fired no matter what.
07:52This whole task is about what happens on air.
07:55Having Omarosa on our team, he can crush us or he can help us out.
07:59So hopefully it's a positive and you don't see us in the boardroom with one of us getting fired.
08:04So we'll see how it turns out.
08:08Coming up...
08:09So Rick comes in, the host.
08:11Hold on.
08:12I am gently using...
08:15And later...
08:16Harry's just so nervous. I think he's going to pass out.
08:19Here we go.
08:203, 2, 1.
08:22And we're live.
08:33My role in the task is project manager.
08:35And our task is to create a 10-minute commercial.
08:39We're going to be on air pitching a product that had never been on QVC before.
08:43I'm very excited about that.
08:47I always think any team I'm in that has Lennox Lewis and we are selling product,
08:51we are stupid to ignore his celebrity power.
08:54Right?
08:56Lennox.
08:58Lennox clearly had too much to drink and had no sleep.
09:01And then within a half day, it should be his new fighting title.
09:05Lennox Sleepy Boy Lewis.
09:07He doesn't want to be on air today because he was out drinking last night.
09:10Don't listen to him. Don't be swayed by the skeezer.
09:14I was tired. I was tired, but I wasn't sleeping.
09:17Piers talks a lot. He has diarrhea of the mouth.
09:20I wish I had a turn-off switch to go...
09:23You know, you've got to stop using me in those type of ways.
09:26Why?
09:27I think I can be used in different ways.
09:29What ways?
09:30Different ways.
09:31You're not going to tell me how you want to produce this.
09:32Yes.
09:33You're a frustrated movie producer.
09:34Yes, I am.
09:35Trust me, I don't give a crap about your desire to be a movie producer.
09:38This is about selling product.
09:40I'm a world champion boxer, but what I really want to do is direct.
09:44He passes himself as a bit of a Francis Ford Coppola.
09:46Okay. I've worked with Francis.
09:48Oh, you have?
09:49Yeah. And in vendors.
09:50You see much of Francis in Lennox?
09:55Let's see what we got.
09:57Well, the first order of business was to view six products, choose one, and go to work.
10:02Welcome to QVC. I'm the Senior Vice President of TV Sales.
10:07We have a very diverse product mix.
10:09So the QVC executives presented us with six items to choose from.
10:13There was this magnifying mirror, this utility tool kit, and this bamboo storage drawer.
10:20Then we had a fry pan, an electric sweeper that you plugged into the wall, charged it up, and you could vacuum anywhere.
10:29Then we had a ladder.
10:31Not only is it a step ladder, but also it has the ability to be flipped up.
10:36Now the unit turns into a hand truck should you need to move anything around the house.
10:41Thank you very much.
10:46What'd you like, Trace?
10:47The ladder. I thought the ladder was just a great product. I was impressed with it.
10:52Go for the ladder. If you don't get it, make them flip.
10:55We went in to negotiate with the other team, and our mind was made up.
10:58If they want it, and we want it, and nobody backs down, just go straight to the coin toss. There's no reason to talk about it.
11:04Okay, so what if we lose the flip? What's after that?
11:07I would say the sweeper.
11:09I would say the mirror.
11:11I would say the sweeper mirror if you mounted the mirror on the front of the sweeper.
11:18If I saw that ladder cart, I'd pick up my phone and call immediately.
11:21That is a passionate, great item.
11:23We saw the ladder cart, and this was a product that I fell in love with instantly.
11:28This was the kind of product that if I had seen it on television, I would have picked up my phone and ordered it right away.
11:33Caroline, you're going to negotiate?
11:35What are we going to choose?
11:36The ladder cart.
11:37So Carol and I decided to go in and negotiate to see which one the empresario team wanted.
11:45Hi, ladies.
11:46Have you all decided on a product?
11:48Yes.
11:49Which one would you like to start with?
11:51Why don't you go first?
11:52Ladder.
11:53What's your first choice?
11:54Ladder.
11:55Okay.
11:56We're not going to give no matter what.
11:57You want to flip a coin now?
11:58Flip a coin.
11:59I'm God's guy, you know.
12:01I'm on your team, Lord.
12:03Let's win that coin flip.
12:06Heads.
12:10Heads.
12:12Lost the coin flip, and the girls got the product they wanted, so we had to quickly pick the next product and move on with it.
12:20That was quick, wasn't it?
12:21They picked the ladder, they won the flip.
12:23Oh, geez.
12:24That's fine.
12:25That's fine.
12:26Sometimes in these situations, luck comes into play.
12:28What are the other ones we want?
12:30When we lost the coin flip, the ladder wasn't meant to be.
12:34Out of the problem, into the solution.
12:36You can demonstrate that sweeper in ten seconds.
12:39Oh, yeah.
12:40People get it.
12:41What do you think of that sweeper, Holmes?
12:43I like the sweeper because it's lightweight for women.
12:45Okay.
12:46Sweeper, that's it.
12:52There's something about Mary Lou and I both going on, but I think that we'll be talking over each other.
12:58So do I.
12:59Mary Lou and I had both done QVC before.
13:01I worked with them for five years, and I know QVC.
13:04Yeah, you're way high energy, and for me to keep up, it's going to be detrimental.
13:10I think it's better to use Mary Lou.
13:12I think when Mary Lou and I get together, I'm a very stabilizing force for Mary Lou.
13:17She trusts me.
13:18She looks to me, and I always, always have her back.
13:21Right.
13:22You will sell that to the Eskimos, right?
13:23Yeah.
13:24I have no doubt.
13:25I decided that I would be the on-air talent.
13:27I thought we had an advantage because I was familiar with the place.
13:30Every time I write a book, I'm on QVC selling my book.
13:32It's perfect because it's two in one.
13:35It's a ladder.
13:36It's a cart.
13:37It's incredible quality.
13:39It's incredible quality.
13:40But amazing value.
13:42But amazing value.
13:43I think the most important thing is rehearsal.
13:45How many times do you have to have someone hold the ladder for you?
13:47If we just choreograph it and I move from place to place demonstrating the ladder, maybe that will help.
13:52I really love it.
13:55Trace, you're our salesman today, dude.
13:57Can't wait to see you do your thing, Trace.
13:59You watch me, baby.
14:01It's going to be good.
14:02You're so good looking, son.
14:04Yeah, I understand that.
14:06When you think QVC and you think celebrities on QVC, in my mind, Trace Adkins is that guy.
14:13Brother, they're going to hire you at QVC, son.
14:15Just the visual of big old Trace Adkins pushing around a cordless electric sweeper, I just thought was adorable.
14:24Trace, we got somebody for you.
14:27This is the co-host.
14:29Lisa, right?
14:30Yes.
14:31We had an option of putting two of our team members on air or to go with one team member and a QVC host.
14:38We opted to go with the QVC host because she was so darn cute.
14:43I was raised in Tennessee.
14:45College deal.
14:46Upon meeting Lisa, I was struck by her presence.
14:50She's from Tennessee.
14:51She's a southern girl.
14:52So, I mean, we took to each other immediately.
14:55It's all up to you.
14:56No.
15:00Hey, how are you?
15:01Hi.
15:02How are you?
15:03How you doing?
15:04Rick Dillmire.
15:05Nice to meet you, sir.
15:06I'll be playing the part of the show host.
15:07So, Rick comes in, the host, a little Mr. Smiley with the teeth and the blonde and the, you know, hair and the eyes, you know, Mr. Game Show host.
15:16I would deliberately play to her unbelievable passion for this thing.
15:20This is the best of both worlds.
15:23Yes.
15:24In that it's both heavy duty and it's lightweight.
15:27Correct.
15:28So, I've got that down.
15:29Come on.
15:30I want to see if I can put you on it.
15:31I thought it would look really interesting.
15:32I think I saw it in an old, you know, musical.
15:34Somebody dances their way and there's a hand cart and somebody wheels them on.
15:37But I thought that that would, like, make a great visual.
15:40Hold on.
15:41I am gently using the...
15:44I'm so sorry.
15:45Okay.
15:46That didn't go great.
15:48That probably is not a good idea.
15:50I'm glad we tested that before.
15:51I'm glad...
15:52Are you okay?
15:53Can I be on the other team?
15:56Can we do just a mock rehearsal, a run through in here, Stephen?
16:00Yes, ma'am.
16:01I made a suggestion to see if they wouldn't mind just doing some practice run throughs in here
16:05just so I could get chemistry, start scripting things.
16:09No, no, no.
16:10Not in this case.
16:11Omarosa, I'm saying, hey, you know, you better prepare Trace for what he's about to do.
16:14And I just, something in my spirit said, this guy sings in front of 100,000 people.
16:20I just had the faith that it was all going to come together.
16:22But I picked a different, because this is like a dance.
16:25This is like a dance that she might be doing.
16:28But here's the thing.
16:29One dance that he may be doing.
16:30It is a dance.
16:31And she's leading.
16:32I was begging Stephen for a rehearsal.
16:34And he's like, no, I'll let the chips fall where they may.
16:38If I were project manager, there would have been a rehearsal.
16:40This is a live show.
16:41You've got 10 minutes live on QVC.
16:44There's no do-overs.
16:46I'm a really good director.
16:48I'm not worried about you, son.
17:01Hey, buddy.
17:02How are you?
17:03We've got the best seller of the day.
17:04And we're going to sell a million of them.
17:06Very nice.
17:07Tell me.
17:08Very lightweight.
17:09Only weighs three pounds.
17:10It's great.
17:11I don't think Ivanka could live without one.
17:13Probably not.
17:14I don't think Ivanka does much sweeping on her own.
17:17Empress Arias seem to be pretty intelligent in the way they do this.
17:19They have Trace.
17:20They've got a lot of talent.
17:21They've got a lot of talent.
17:22They've got a lot of talent.
17:23They've got a lot of talent.
17:24They've got a lot of talent.
17:25They've got a lot of talent.
17:26They've got a lot of talent.
17:27They've got a lot of talent.
17:28They're pretty intelligent in the way they do this.
17:29They have Trace.
17:30Settling to middle America.
17:31It's probably a really good decision.
17:33He's probably the right person to be the spokesperson for the product.
17:35But we'll see.
17:37Thanks again.
17:38Good luck, guys.
17:39Appreciate it.
17:40See you soon.
17:44Oh, hey.
17:45I saw this product and I just went, wow.
17:47This is something that is a must-have.
17:49I will call anywhere to get this product.
17:51This is something that I'm always looking for.
17:53When I went into Sea Hydra, they really seemed organized.
17:55They really seemed to have a plan.
17:57The product, they really believe in it, which is one of the most important things when you're selling anything.
18:00But I love it.
18:01Even, let's say, you're doing something.
18:03You're changing light bulbs.
18:04You're putting things up.
18:05Mary Lou's the project manager.
18:06I've been on-air selling.
18:07And she likes to talk.
18:08I've been on-air selling only my own product.
18:09And now I want to put my name on this.
18:11You don't have to close it up.
18:12A lot.
18:13I definitely want to get from my house.
18:14I not only think it's great to have one, I think you should have two.
18:17So we'll see how that goes.
18:18Thank you very much.
18:19Good luck.
18:20I'll catch up with you soon.
18:21Look forward to seeing you in there.
18:22Cheers.
18:23Take care.
18:25Ellis.
18:26Hello.
18:27Jay.
18:28Within the task, both teams were assigned a creative consultant who understands QVC's selling process.
18:35In the payment structure, can I break the payments up over several months, or is it a one-time price that they have to pay for now?
18:41We have a one-time offer, something called EasyPay.
18:44What is that?
18:45You break up the payments in installments.
18:48Really?
18:49Really.
18:50One thing that I was just so grateful to the Lord for giving me this thought was implementing this possibility called EasyPay.
18:58Right.
18:59And how much can EasyPay be broken up?
19:00How many payments?
19:01Do we know?
19:02The most we will ever do in an EasyPay is five.
19:05Okay.
19:06Very interesting.
19:07That's five EasyPayments of $12.
19:13Who's the director of standard?
19:14The director's going to stand down here in the front.
19:16Let me show you.
19:17You can basically be anywhere you want to be.
19:19Going into the control room for the first time was great.
19:22I always wanted to be in that spot to direct something, anything.
19:26Obviously start off with a video, you know, build myself up, but then get to movies.
19:31You know what's so funny?
19:32I've always wanted to do this.
19:34Lennox, I think, fancied himself as a bit of a Francis Ford cobbler.
19:37And I think he really thought this was his moment to effectively direct Mary Lou Hannah in a major motion picture.
19:45We need tighter on her face.
19:48On her face.
19:49So Eric, keep going that way.
19:50I'm going to take a cutaway of Mary Lou.
19:51She's up.
19:52Yo, tell her to go get that glass thing.
19:56That was the job for me.
19:57I'm good at it.
19:58I know what to see and know what to look for.
20:01Yeah, I'm directing this.
20:02Lennox was in control of the cameras.
20:04Carol was doing a lot of work on the set.
20:07Can we do a run through?
20:08Do you mind?
20:09I was in charge of the control room.
20:10It was quite exciting.
20:12And you can see every second how you're doing.
20:14And you're reacting to spikes and sail.
20:16I found that quite a buzz, actually.
20:19Okay, guys.
20:2030 seconds until we go live.
20:22Mary Lou, can you hear me?
20:24Wing it.
20:25Okay, wing it.
20:26I can't hear Piers.
20:27You can't hear me, right?
20:28Live TV is always vaguely chaotic.
20:30And you need to have a very, very good, well-rehearsed team in place, which we clearly weren't.
20:3510 seconds, Piers.
20:37Push all three of these.
20:38Okay.
20:39Okay, Rick, can you hear me?
20:40Mary Lou, you can hear me, yeah?
20:41Yes.
20:42Okay, cool.
20:43You look great.
20:44You're Mary Lou Henner.
20:45Just live it, baby.
20:46Here we go.
20:47And you guys rock.
20:48This is it.
20:49You're live.
20:50You're watching the QVC Sampler.
20:51Hello, everybody.
20:52My name's Rick, and this is actress, best-selling author, and star, Mary Lou Henner.
20:57Great to have you at the QVC.
20:58Oh, it's so great to be here, Rick.
20:59You have a lot of energy, and you're really excited, and you're excited.
21:02So they use Mary Lou.
21:04She's the project manager of this task.
21:06This was such a must-have for me.
21:08I said, I have to go on there and sell it, because this is the perfect two-in-one household item.
21:13Good, good.
21:14Two-part item.
21:15Okay, you pull it out, and it's a ladder.
21:17Ba-da-boom.
21:18I was going to buy it for my husband.
21:19Now I'm buying it for myself.
21:20She has energy, man.
21:22It can actually hold 300 pounds.
21:24300 pounds.
21:25Nine and a half feet in the air for me, because I'm 5'7".
21:27Change a light bulb.
21:28And you feel very secure when you're up there.
21:29Oh, I feel totally secure.
21:30But there's more.
21:32Fold it up, put out the little flap, and it's a cart.
21:35It's a hand truck.
21:36Oh, my gosh.
21:37A face, a face.
21:38I need a face.
21:39Ready? Here's 23.
21:40It's great for you.
21:41It's great for your husband.
21:42It's two-in-one.
21:43Two-in-one.
21:44It's under $50 in brand-new soap.
21:45The ladder cart.
21:46But wait a second.
21:47Let's say we've gone to our garage.
21:48We've gotten our paint supplies.
21:49We're walking them into our kitchen.
21:51She's got great enthusiasm, but she's talking a lot.
21:54Let's go to the phone.
21:55And good afternoon.
21:56Oh, great.
21:57Karen from Pennsylvania.
21:58Hello, Karen.
21:59How are you?
22:00Hey, Karen.
22:01Hi.
22:02What are you shopping for, Karen?
22:03The hand truck and step ladder.
22:04Okay, Karen.
22:05Why did it come in handy for you?
22:06Why do you think it's going to come in handy?
22:07Oh, my gosh.
22:08It's going to come in handy,
22:09because how many times do you need a step ladder?
22:11Lifting things, storing things, your garage.
22:13Karen, why do you think it's going to come in handy for you?
22:15Mary Lou can't talk when she's on me.
22:19She sounds a little nervous.
22:20Not only that, she's nervous, and the other guy's talking,
22:23and she's talking, and they're both talking,
22:24and, like, you get a headache.
22:26She's jumping from one thing right into the next
22:28without sort of exploring it.
22:29And yet she's got great enthusiasm, so I don't know.
22:32Yeah.
22:33Once again, this is a step ladder.
22:35Oh, I love this thing.
22:36Thank you so much for joining us on QVC.
22:38Oh, thank you.
22:39And believe me, I'm taking my ladder cart home.
22:41We have more coming on the QVC stand.
22:43Okay, bye-bye, everyone.
22:44Red's out.
22:45Set's clear.
22:46That was nice.
22:47Good job.
22:48That was very nice.
22:49Good job, Mary Lou.
22:50Nice job.
22:51That was good.
22:52I thought Mary Lou did great.
22:53I mean, she had huge energy.
22:54She kept going.
22:55She was passionate.
22:56She was vigorous.
22:57How was our volume?
22:58Well, it went down, then it began to go up,
23:00and then it began to stabilize and blah, blah, blah,
23:02but it definitely went back up.
23:03Let me tell you, she did a good job.
23:04She did a great job.
23:05Let's go say hi.
23:06No, no, you know, the only reason we would have lost
23:08is if it was the wrong product.
23:1225 seconds, guys.
23:1425 seconds, Trace.
23:15And I got to get my jacket.
23:16Don't worry.
23:17I'll have that ready for you.
23:18My black jacket's in there.
23:19Yeah, no worries.
23:20Green room.
23:23Trace is so nervous.
23:24I think he's going to pass out.
23:26I have never seen him this way.
23:28He's usually a really cool, laid-back cowboy.
23:31What is this thing on my neck right here?
23:33What is that?
23:34It's a piece of tape.
23:35Oh, is it that clip thing?
23:37Trace, can you hear us, buddy?
23:39Yeah, I hear you.
23:40Tito, do your thing.
23:43When Trace didn't get a chance to rehearse the stuff
23:45and Susan said, no, no, he'll get it, no problem,
23:47I was kind of sketched out a little bit.
23:49I'm kind of like, maybe I think Trace
23:52should rehearse it a couple times.
23:54All right, guys, we're going live in 5 seconds.
23:57Here we go.
23:583, 2, 1.
24:01And we're live.
24:02Thank you so much, Leah.
24:03We have something brand new in our QVC sampler tonight.
24:06Trace Atkins, one of the biggest names in country music.
24:09They're using the big voice.
24:11Sort of interesting that Stephen chose Trace to be on.
24:14I guess it's the voice, it's the demeanor.
24:16And there are several reasons I'm here today.
24:18The first of which I want to tell you about
24:20is this unit right here, the super sweeper.
24:22It's cordless, it's rechargeable, it's convenient,
24:25it's all those things.
24:26Back to Jib.
24:28On the sweeper, there you go.
24:29Perfect, Michael.
24:30Pick up some big things.
24:31Yeah, nuts and bolts and stuff.
24:33Just all kinds of things.
24:34You're not kidding around.
24:35Yeah.
24:36Wow.
24:37It starts picking it all up.
24:38That's pretty good.
24:39And it's easy for him.
24:40It's not such a difficult prompt.
24:41Whereas the ladder, you're opening it, you're closing it,
24:43you're climbing it.
24:44I like that he used screws and bolts
24:46because whoever heard of a vacuum cleaner
24:48picking up screws and bolts, that's pretty good.
24:50And another reason I'm here, I'm a father.
24:53I have 5 daughters.
24:55And they're always doing this craft stuff.
24:57Oh, yeah, projects.
24:58They're always making a mess.
24:59I mean, you know what it is with kids around.
25:01He's got a nice way about him.
25:02Yeah.
25:03A very opposite attitude to Mary Lou.
25:06Calm, relaxed.
25:07There's just a little clip holding that in.
25:09You just pull that out, and you're done.
25:11So we thought that this was a great deal.
25:14Mention EasyPay.
25:15By the way, it's kind of unusual for something to be brand new
25:17and on 5 payments of EasyPay.
25:19It's on 5 payments of $11.99.
25:23So it's a great value.
25:25A little spike.
25:26I mean, this thing is so quick, too.
25:28Start to wrap it up, guys.
25:30I was so proud to be here with you today.
25:33Good seeing you.
25:34Wonderful seeing you.
25:35You too, dear.
25:36Great having you here.
25:37There seems to be a lack of energy with him,
25:39but I think the lack of energy is almost confidence.
25:41She had great enthusiasm, but she didn't seem too calm.
25:44So it could play both ways.
25:46Thank you very much, guys.
25:48That was so awesome, Trace.
25:50You rocked it.
25:51You hit every point.
25:53My instincts were correct.
25:55Trace walked right through it.
25:57He was absolutely brilliant.
25:59Tito, killer.
26:01I was watching the sales monitor itself.
26:05Thanks for everything.
26:06I'm not really sure if we pulled this off.
26:08Did we pull it off?
26:09Maybe.
26:10We'll see what happens in the end.
26:25So I got to watch both performances on QVC.
26:53They were very different.
26:54How do you think you did, Mary Lou?
26:56Well, we certainly had a lot of passion for the product.
26:59I think we played to each other's strengths.
27:01I was on a real learning curve because it was my first day on Hydra.
27:05You think you won?
27:06I think we won.
27:07I think we won.
27:08How do you think you did, Pierce?
27:10I have to say, for sheer energy, passion, leadership,
27:14Mary Lou, from the moment she heard it was QVC, said,
27:16this is mine.
27:18And I found her passion great.
27:20I thought Mary Lou was great in that she was very enthusiastic.
27:23Very, very enthusiastic over a ladder.
27:25A ladder is not the most exciting thing I've ever seen.
27:28Tito, what did you think?
27:30I thought we did a really great job with selling the product.
27:33Who was the star of your team, Tito?
27:34The star of our team would have to go to Trace.
27:37I think he really sold it.
27:39I thought Trace was so calm.
27:41I was so impressed.
27:42You know, I always see them, they throw a couple of feathers down,
27:44they pick them up, big deal.
27:46This thing's picking up nuts and bolts and screws.
27:48I've never seen that before.
27:50And that was very impressive.
27:51Very good.
27:53Stephen, did Omarosa do a good job?
27:56Omarosa did an excellent job.
27:57Really?
27:58Yes, sir.
28:01I have to be around people who bring out the best in me, Mr. Trump.
28:03Good.
28:04Well, you seem to like this team a little bit better than peers.
28:06Absolutely.
28:08So, Stephen, the product that you sold was higher priced.
28:12Does that bother you?
28:13Are you a little bit worried about that?
28:14Not at all, sir.
28:15We implemented something that we learned historically on QVC
28:19is very helpful in sales, which is something called easy pay,
28:22which we made the product available at $59.95 with five payments of $11.99.
28:32You were very good, very enthusiastic, but you seemed a little bit nervous,
28:35I'm just saying, with Trace.
28:37It was a very calm situation over there.
28:40Both did a good job, but very, very different.
28:42This is going to be a tough one.
28:44Don, how did Empresario do?
28:48Empresario did really well.
28:49They sold 716 units for a total of $43,000.
28:56That's pretty good.
28:58Ivanka, how did Hydra do?
29:01Hydra sold 703 units for a total of $35,145.
29:11So the winner is Empresario.
29:14Okay, Hydra, there was a couple of bad decisions made, obviously.
29:18Number one, you sold less units at a lesser price and for less money.
29:22So that's pretty much of a romp.
29:24Wouldn't you say, Pierce?
29:26You got beaten.
29:27You got beaten.
29:28You got beaten.
29:29So you folks have done a great job.
29:31You were a fantastic host, and the nuts and bolts was a great idea.
29:35So I congratulate all of you.
29:37And as you know, Stephen, you're going to get $20,000 additional.
29:41You're doing very well, Stephen.
29:43$20,000 additional for your charity, and again, your charity?
29:46The Carol Baldwin Breast Cancer Research Fund.
29:49You'll stick with Mom, right?
29:50Absolutely, no question.
29:51Okay, very good.
29:52Well, congratulations.
29:53Go to the war room.
29:54You can watch.
29:56Thank you, Mr. Trump.
29:57That was a great job.
29:59They did a very good job.
30:01Y'all, that is crazy.
30:13QVC was the most important to me because it was my second opportunity at winning this project manager.
30:20That was my favorite time.
30:22So winning another $20,000 from my mom's organization is a huge blessing.
30:27My mom's going to trip.
30:29She is, man.
30:30She is, man.
30:31That's great.
30:32You've done good for your mom.
30:33You've done good for your mom.
30:34Thanks, guys.
30:35Thank you, Jesus.
30:48So Mary Lou, that was a loss.
30:49That was a loss.
30:50And it was a loss on something we felt very passionate about.
30:53So, Piers, who would you blame?
30:55Who would I blame?
30:56I blame the team.
30:57But who would you blame as an individual?
30:59Well, you see, I like leaders who show passion.
31:01I like leaders who...
31:02And she showed passion.
31:03Your leader showed passion.
31:04I've worked for lots of people on this show.
31:05She's a terrific woman.
31:06She showed passion.
31:07But she's the project manager and you lost.
31:08So, you know, it's always a negative.
31:10Why didn't you use EasyPay?
31:12We didn't even know that that was an option.
31:14Well, if Carol has been on the show, do you think any of the responsibility lies with you, Carol, for not suggesting it?
31:20No, we used...
31:21Did you know about EasyPay?
31:23No.
31:26Between Carol and Mary Lou, you should have known...
31:28Yeah, I'd never heard of it.
31:29...that an installment plan on QVC is pretty common, right?
31:31I mean, I don't know if I've ever seen a product on there that doesn't have an installment plan.
31:35So, Piers, if you were me, who would you fire?
31:37Look, we've lost and somebody has to get fired.
31:39I didn't really...
31:40Who would you fire, Piers?
31:41Who would I fire?
31:43Difficult one.
31:44Who contributed least?
31:46Sleepy Boy, who was asleep for most of the day because he'd been laid out.
31:51So, in terms of...
31:52Hang on, hang on a second.
31:53I wasn't asleep.
31:54I was asleep on the helicopter ride over.
31:56That's not a nice thing to say, though, Piers.
31:58It's true.
31:59You could say he slept or he didn't.
32:00When you say not very helpful, what do you mean not very helpful?
32:02Because I believe in this situation.
32:03Piers, it's just not a nice way of putting it.
32:05Well, it's on a derogatory term.
32:06Yeah, you could say somebody was, like, sleeping, but you don't call him Sleepy Boy.
32:10Why not?
32:11Well, I don't think it's very appropriate.
32:12Well, I apologize if it wasn't meant to be an insult.
32:14It was just a fact.
32:15Well, it is insulting.
32:16He's got Piers in his sights right now.
32:18Yeah.
32:19Piers is going home.
32:20Piers is going to hell, baby.
32:22The truth about our relationship is it's based on good old-fashioned British banter.
32:26He wouldn't take offense at what I just said, and he's called me a lot.
32:29I don't know.
32:30Would you take offense at what he said?
32:31Absolutely, because I wasn't sleeping.
32:33You were.
32:34You were sleeping.
32:35Merely was I sleeping?
32:36You were very low-key in the morning.
32:38I was trying to find your rhythm.
32:40When everything started, was I low-key?
32:42Well, I don't know you that well, so I don't—you were lower-key than anybody else on the team.
32:47Was I awake for my task?
32:49You were awake for your task.
32:50Yeah, but there's a lot of work that needs to be done before that.
32:52If you're asking me to—if you're asking me to get into the blame game,
32:55and I believe that when you look at these things, can I fault Mary Lou for leadership?
32:59No.
33:00Can I fault her for commitment, enthusiasm, dedication?
33:02No.
33:03But the team lost.
33:04But you can fault her on one thing.
33:06Yeah.
33:07I thought that she was very, like, talkative.
33:11You were so opposite-trace.
33:13He was so solid.
33:14Well, we have different energies, you can tell.
33:15No, no, you have a different energy.
33:16Yeah.
33:17And your energy's just as good.
33:18It's a different kind of thing.
33:19But you were overdoing your energy.
33:21I know your energy.
33:22I understand your energy.
33:23You were overdoing your energy.
33:25So, Lennox, if you were me, who would you fire?
33:28Well, you know, I would say it all breaks down to the PM.
33:35But, you know, it's not my decision.
33:38Carol, if you were me, who would you fire?
33:41I agree it has to do with the PM, because most of the decisions went back to her,
33:45although we all agreed because she was passionate and swayed us into the latter.
33:49She really wanted this latter.
33:50She was really passionate about it.
33:52I think our biggest problem was price point, obviously, and easy pay.
33:55I don't think price point had anything to do with it.
33:57This is a case where if you were $5 higher or $10 higher, it wouldn't have mattered that much.
34:01But I think the easy pay part of it.
34:03Well, that would have mattered.
34:04That's what I mean.
34:05That would have mattered.
34:06And so they had an advantage.
34:07And somebody's responsible for that.
34:08They had a big advantage.
34:09Right.
34:10But they figured that out.
34:11But, Piers, you'd actually say that you would fire Lennox.
34:14You asked me to get into the blame game.
34:16But Lennox isn't the reason you lost.
34:18No, I'm not saying that.
34:19I'm just saying that in the end, I would judge it more.
34:21I'm not as inclined as the other two to just pin it all on Mary Lou.
34:25I actually thought she led the team great.
34:27Piers is awfully subdued, y'all.
34:30Look at how mellow he is.
34:32I'm in shock.
34:34If a decision in the end rests with the project manager, Mary Lou wouldn't, I don't think, buck that charge.
34:39She took personal charge of it.
34:40So if, in your estimation, this was obviously quite personal.
34:43The project manager led from the front.
34:45She did the presentation.
34:46If you believe that the thing that let us down was the overexcitement of the presentation, clearly that's Mary Lou's problem.
34:51I keep saying that.
34:52It makes it very hard for Mary Lou now to buck that charge.
34:55Well, I happen to think Mary Lou is terrific.
34:57Yeah, so do I.
34:58I'm not doing that.
34:59I'm just saying it depends on the criteria for judgment.
35:02If you'd ask me who gave the least contribution, I would simply say that Lennox, when he's had sleep, is great.
35:08And when he hasn't, he doesn't contribute very much.
35:10You know, I've seen Lennox sleepy in the ring.
35:12All of a sudden, he knocks the guy out.
35:13He goes, what happened?
35:14Well, this time we didn't knock anybody out.
35:15Don't be deceived.
35:16You know what?
35:17Don't be deceived by Lennox.
35:19Mary Lou, who would you fire?
35:21Well, if you're expecting every single person to contribute a lot and to pick up the slack, I don't, I, you know, I mean, let's put it this way.
35:33Go ahead.
35:34Who would you fire?
35:35Mary, stop talking so much.
35:36I think that's why you lost.
35:37You talk too much.
35:38Who would you fire?
35:39I'm just going to say Lennox.
35:46Watch.
35:47Come on.
35:48You know what?
35:51Don't give me an answer.
35:52I want you to tell me who's going away, who's going to be free.
35:57And then three of you are coming back into the boardroom.
36:00Who are you going to absolve right now?
36:03In terms of our individual responsibilities.
36:06In terms of who are you going to let go?
36:08Who did the best job?
36:10For me, Carol.
36:11Carol did the best job.
36:12Yes.
36:13Okay.
36:14That means Carol's free.
36:15Congratulations, Carol.
36:16That's excellent.
36:17So then the three of you go out.
36:18You're going to come back in a couple of minutes.
36:19Thank you very much.
36:20Okay.
36:33I don't like seeing you in this position.
36:37I know.
36:46Oh, dear.
36:47Bye, Carol.
36:48Well done.
36:49Don't say bye.
36:50No.
36:51Well, you never know, do you?
36:52I don't know who it's going to be, who I'm going to see.
36:53You never know.
37:02What do you think, Ivanka?
37:03I think in this situation, it seems like the fault has to lie with Mary Lou.
37:08She led the team.
37:09She was the on-air talent.
37:10She really took on a lot of responsibility, and the buck stops with her.
37:15What do you think, Don?
37:16I think I agree overall about the project manager, but I'm really surprised Mary Lou let Carol go.
37:20I mean, I don't believe for a minute Carol didn't know about Easy Pay.
37:23Of course she must have.
37:24You don't think so?
37:25Of course not.
37:26She'd fronted five years.
37:27She'd worked for GBC.
37:28Yeah.
37:29So I would have kept her in just for that.
37:30I was like, of course you knew.
37:31Yeah.
37:32How do you say you don't know?
37:33That was a big one.
37:34I mean, five years you worked for a company, you've never heard of Easy Pay.
37:37Come on.
37:38Come on.
37:39So I think the blame actually for that lay with her.
37:41Absolutely.
37:42Square one.
38:02So Mary Lou, why would I fire Piers over you when you were the project manager?
38:06And ultimately were responsible for all of this.
38:08Whether it was Lennox or Carol, it appears you were responsible.
38:11Why?
38:12Because I'm a better player in terms of, you know, what I bring in so many different levels
38:16on so many different areas.
38:17I know, but we're talking about this test.
38:18Why did you bring back Lennox over Carol, who had experience and didn't know about the
38:23credit system, et cetera, et cetera?
38:24Right.
38:25I brought back Lennox over Carol because I know Carol's work ethic, and I also saw her
38:30in production all day long, constantly working hard, you know, doing what she needed to do.
38:35Lennox, as Piers mentioned, was very sleepy, especially for the first half of the day.
38:40And I never saw him like pick up a ball and run with it.
38:42It was very difficult on the team to know exactly what Lennox was doing at any given time.
38:48But you're supposed to be the project manager.
38:49Yes, I am.
38:50So aren't you supposed to be sort of telling him what to do?
38:52No, and I was telling him what to do.
38:54I'm surprised Carol's not here.
38:55I'm a little surprised Carol's not here, too, because she knew the system and you didn't
38:59use her and she didn't volunteer it.
39:02Maybe she should have volunteered.
39:03She said that she had never heard of EasyPay.
39:04I don't believe that.
39:05She never used it before.
39:06I think that's ridiculous.
39:07She didn't.
39:08That's not very observant of her.
39:09Sorry.
39:10The idea that Carol's not known for five years.
39:11She's been there for a while.
39:12She hasn't done it for a while.
39:13I found that.
39:14If the EasyPay was the reason we lost, then someone who was working for QVC for five years
39:18was never aware of their main price plan.
39:21I mean, I find that, I'm incredulous.
39:22You know what I find more amazing?
39:24For the first time, you're sweating.
39:26What the hell are you sweating for?
39:27I've never seen you sweat.
39:28I'm amazed I wasn't released back into the community.
39:31Can I tell you, I've never seen you sweat.
39:33You went after Omarosa.
39:34You weren't sweating.
39:35You were cool.
39:36I mean, I'm looking at you now.
39:38I'll tell you why I brought you back.
39:39I'll be honest with you.
39:40I don't want to get fired, so I always sweat when I'm about to get fired.
39:43None of us want to get fired.
39:44I just think it's very difficult in my father's situation unless you really isolate somebody
39:49as having terribly underperformed.
39:51Ivanka, thank you.
39:53I really appreciate you saying that because I'm in a very difficult position.
39:57Well, I felt like I really only had three people to work with because, really, honestly,
40:01Lennox was not there for the first morning.
40:03Lennox is not the reason you lost.
40:05If we had had another fourth person able to do research and help us create the product
40:09and the price point and things like that.
40:11Lennox was not the reason you lost.
40:14I mean, the truth is, Mary Lou, the reason we lost this task is because of the project manager.
40:21And it hurts me to say this, but Mary Lou, you're fired.
40:28And you are a terrific woman.
40:30Get the hell out of here.
40:42Hey, you guys, it was great.
40:44I'm so sorry I'm not going to work with you.
40:46I know, me too.
40:47Don't.
40:51Bye.
40:54She's a very high quality woman.
40:57It's hard because that is a nice person.
40:59You couldn't do anything about that.
41:00She played the game well.
41:01She's a good person, but it's a decision you have to make.
41:18Get out of here.
41:31Sleepy boy is back.
41:33Sleepy boy is back.
41:34Sleepy boy is back.
41:36The overall experience of being on The Apprentice was a blast.
41:39I've been a fan of The Apprentice for a long time.
41:42Mr. Trump was very sweet and I now feel like a member of the Trump family.
41:48I'm feeling great because I played the game with integrity, energy, passion and resilience.
