00:00Factory production supervisor Daniel Abdulla's years of military training may be the reason

00:05he is alive today.

00:08Last July, the former Navy officer encountered a near-death experience when the trailer

00:13lorry suddenly swerved into the motorcycle lane.

00:17The load from the lorry slipped and knocked Daniel off his motorcycle, pinning him under.

00:22Despite being seriously injured, Daniel's instincts kicked in, pushing him to report

00:27to the nearest base, which happened to be the Micron Memory Factory in Perai, Penang,

00:32where he passed out upon arrival.

00:34In the military training, we are trained to always report to your base and your superiors

00:43if an incident occurs.

00:46Today, Daniel is one of the 25 veterans who were hired by Micron Memory through the Veteran

00:51MyRIRA program.

00:55This Talent Corp initiative is aimed at helping soldiers transition into civilian careers
