00:00A container van carrying smuggled white onions from the Bureau of Plant Industry and Bureau of Customs
00:07arrived in Manila's South Harbor.
00:11According to the investigation, the shipment arrived in the country this July,
00:14the same month when the importation ban of onions and the suspension of the permit to import the said product began.
00:22This means that it is illegal to import imported onions.
00:26Php 3.5 million worth of smuggled onions from the Bureau of Plant Industry and Bureau of Customs is worth.
00:31The Department of Agriculture is warning that they will not stop arresting the smugglers.
00:37They say that the punishment will be heavier for anyone who violates the new Anti-Agricultural Economic Sabotage Act of the country.
