00:14Aaron Rodgers, but does it make
00:17a difference? The Jets are two
00:19and four after the opening
00:21third of this NFL season. The
00:23Jets still have a plus money
00:25price at plus 140 to reach the
00:28playoffs. I agree with the
00:30oddsmakers at bare minimum. A
00:32playoff berth this season is
00:34the standard of success. I'm
00:37not sure they see that. I'm not
00:39sure they snap a 13-year
00:41playoff drought, but that is
00:43bare minimum. But Joe, when
00:45Aaron Rodgers was acquired back
00:47in March of 2023, or at least
00:49made his intention clear that he
00:51wanted to play for the New York
00:54Jets, the bare minimum was not
00:56playoff berth or bust. It was
00:58not getting the New York Jets
01:00back to the postseason for the
01:02first time in more than a
01:04decade. The talk around the New
01:05York Jets, Lombardi Trophy, AFC
01:08Championship. I don't think
01:10Devante Adams helps them do
01:12that. I'm not even sure
01:14Devante is the difference of a
01:16playoff trip or not. So at the
01:20end of the day, when 2024 comes
01:23to a close, the question that I
01:25will continue to ask for the
01:27New York Jets is this one. Was
01:29it worth it? And still, I'm not
01:32sure the answer is a resounding
01:34yes.
01:37Well, I'll say this here, Ben.
01:39I'll try to put a positive spin
01:41on this thing here for the Jets.
01:43If it does work, then yes.
01:49There is literally no reason
01:51with the weapons they have now
01:54and what a matchup nightmare
01:56defenses are going to have
01:57because defenses have done a
01:59pretty good job of trying to
02:00shut down Garrett Wilson because
02:02they didn't trust anybody else
02:03to be able to beat them. Well,
02:05they're not going to have that
02:06opportunity here with Devante
02:07Adams. Garrett Wilson will not
02:09be the number one receiver on
02:10the field with Devante Adams
02:12there. It will always be
02:14Devante Adams. So it becomes a
02:16problem for defenses. If they
02:18live up to the potential, then
02:21yes, it could very well be a
02:23very dangerous team that can
02:24drop 30 on anybody. But that is
02:27a huge if. And I put it, I'll
02:30say this, 50-50 it works, Ben.
02:32Is that fair? Because the talent
02:35is certainly there.
