00:00Devontae Adams in the middle of the night after a Jets loss. He
00:06finds himself being a New York Jet close to 11,000 receiving
00:10yards 96 touchdowns, six time Pro Bowler three time first team
00:15all pro Devontae Adams to the Jets big deal or no big deal. I
00:21think I don't think it's that big of a deal. Now obviously,
00:24it's an added weapon for Aaron Rodgers, right, but they already
00:27have Garrett Wilson, Alan Lazard, that made the Hail Mary
00:31reception conchal in an above average tight end. But the
00:34bigger problem and issue Donnie is the fact that again, Aaron
00:38Rodgers is getting what he wants, right? And that is not
00:41the the real concern when the team is and facing adversity is
00:46who's the real leader of that organization right now? Is it
00:49Albrecht? Or is it in fact, Aaron Rodgers? And who do you
00:52turn to? That is the issue. I think big picture to say all
00:56the Jets a legitimate wildcard or division contender? Can you
00:59back this team over the potential eight and a half
01:02wins? Can you back them? Now with a double digit price to
01:05make the playoffs? That is the problem and win an AFC
01:08championship. I can't do it. Because if things go south, then
01:12Aaron Rodgers doesn't want to take accountability. He wants to
01:15throw everyone under the bus. So if they lose now with Devontae
01:18Adams, whose fault is it going to be?
01:22It's such a good point. Because when we're looking at the Jets
01:25overall, Joe, sometimes you can say, we'll get to the Buffalo
01:28Bills in just a few moments. I don't look at the Jets and go,
01:30you know, Joe, they are a top wide receiver away from winning
01:33football games. That's not what you get out of it. Like their
01:36defense is decent here, right? It can be when it's great. A top
01:3910 defense, maybe even a top five. You look at the offense,
01:42you have the skill position weapons, you have the running
01:45game, you try to rebuild that offensive line. It's the
01:48quarterback. If we remove the 49ers game, first game of the
01:50season where they got beat 32 to 19. Nobody was good in that
01:53game for the Jets. But as you move forward, you beat the
01:56Titans, you beat the Patriots, you should have beaten the
01:58Broncos, you should have beaten the Vikings, and you should have
02:00beaten the Bills. And at no time did I say their wide receiver
02:04position is letting them down. If they can strengthen that,
02:06that's going to be the key to victory here. You need a better
02:09pass rush, you need a better quarterback play out of Aaron
02:12Rodgers. So moving forward with the Jets, I know people get
02:16excited. And does it make the Jets better? Yes. When you add
02:18one of the best players in the NFL to a certain position room,
02:20it is going to make them better. But Joe, Garrett Wilson was
02:23fine as my number one, Al Lazar was fine as my number two, Mike
02:26Williams, you need you paid him 10 million, you're already
02:28sending him out of here. Right? It's crazy. It really is crazy.
02:32Because again, the problems weren't so much the offensive
02:35skill players to your point, they were moving the football.
02:38It's just that in critical situations, Aaron Rodgers
02:41didn't produce didn't produce to lead a touchdown potentially
02:44against Denver, they they missed the field goal granted, but they
02:47only put up nine points in that loss. He throws three
02:50interceptions against Minnesota when the game was on the line,
02:53he throws the interception Monday night, you know, trying
02:57to hit Mike Williams for a big play. He just did never came
03:00through in regards to the clutch. And that is the issue
03:03now. So the younger players like Aaron Wilson, what's he going to
03:07do when when you know, Devontae Adams is now getting 13 targets?
03:11Is he going to be checked out? What happens to the defense?
03:14Because you get that emotional effort on Monday night, you
03:17don't win the game, you're two and four, Devontae walks into
03:20the building. Let's say you lose this week. Let's say you lose
03:23the following week, you're two and six, our players just going
03:26to be checked out. And is Aaron Rodgers going to be like, you
03:29know what, I can't win here. Or I can't win with these guys
03:32because they're not all bought in. Really? You got the coach
03:35fired. So that is the issue, Donnie. I can't buy this team.
03:39No continuity. And I have no idea where that locker room is.
03:44Yeah, we'll take a look at it again. The Jets, you know,
03:45outlook team win total down to seven and a half, which means
03:48they can go under 500 this year with that talent, which will be
03:51unheard of, and still be able to cash out ticket there. The
03:54playoffs used to be a favorite. Now they're the dog Joe plus
03:57136. AFC title, AFC title and Super Bowl title, all those
04:01numbers listed on the graphic here. Let me ask you one
04:03question on one bet. Playoffs plus 136. Fade? Or you're back
04:08in that?
04:09No, I would fade. And if we're looking at similar teams in
04:12similar types of situations, Donnie, I would take a flyer on
04:16Joe Burrow in Cincinnati before I back and take the 136 with the
04:21New York Jets. And I know it's favorable, potentially for them.
04:25But there's no way I'm backing it. Even with plus money. I
04:28don't I don't like the Jets moving forward. I didn't like
04:30them at the start of the season. I thought they were seven and
04:33eight win football team at the very best. And that's when they
04:37had their head coach and a team in place. I don't like the way
04:40they're playing right now.
