00:00President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. thanked the President of the United Arab Emirates
00:05after pardoning some Filipinos who were imprisoned there.

00:19That was confirmed by President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr.
00:23following his conversation with UAE President Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed.

00:32He is confident that he will be able to give it to the families of the Filipinos.
00:36The President did not give additional details regarding the pardon.
00:41But according to the Foreign Affairs Department Undersecretary Eduardo de Vega,
00:45the pardon was granted during the celebration of Idil Adha this June.
00:49And it was only in August that it was announced in the Philippines,
00:53which was approved by the government.
00:55De Vega also added,
00:56these are not major punishments like death penalty cases,
01:00but minor offenses only.
01:02The President also thanked the UAE for its assistance in the country,
