00:00Hello, it was a dry and bright start for most this morning although there were a
00:04few blustery showers across parts of Scotland. Today's weather will be
00:09dominated by an area of low pressure that will move northwards through this
00:12evening and into tomorrow morning bringing some wet and windy weather. A
00:15ridge of high pressure then develops bringing a brief spell of settled
00:19weather towards the middle of the week. This is before a large area of low
00:22pressure out in the Atlantic slowly moves towards us. Back to today though
00:26and it will be a dry and sunny day for most with any showers across Scotland
00:29becoming more isolated through the afternoon. Getting a little cloudier in
00:33the south and east but feeling warm here with light winds and highs of 17 or 18
00:37degrees. Staying cloudy across Northern Ireland with strong winds across
00:41northern and western areas so feeling a little cooler here with highs of 13 or
00:4514 degrees. That area of low pressure continues to move northwards bringing
00:50heavy rain and strong winds to parts of northern UK. There will be further spells
00:55of rain across the south of the UK with winds staying strong particularly in the
00:59west and a risk of gales at Irish sea coasts. A milder night tonight with all
01:04the cloud around so lows of 13 or 14 degrees in the south. A touch cooler in
01:08the north with a few places possibly dropping just into single figures but
01:12staying breezy here so feeling much cooler. Rain will quickly clear the
01:16southeast of England through tomorrow morning leaving a dry and bright day for
01:20many with plenty of prolonged sunshine. A few blustery showers across the north
01:24and staying breezy here but winds becoming lighter further south. Feeling
01:28warm in the sunshine in the south with highs of 18 or 19 degrees but again a
01:32little cooler in the north with highs of 13 or 14 degrees due to the cloud cover
01:37and the stronger winds. Gradually becoming drier overnight into Tuesday
01:41leaving another fine day with plenty of sunshine. Becoming a little cloudier
01:46through Wednesday with outbreaks of rain possible towards the end of the week.
01:51Temperatures are closer to average in the north around 13 or 14 degrees but
01:55beginning to feel a lot warmer in the south with a southerly wind so
01:58temperatures could possibly reach 20 degrees towards the end of the week.
