00:00Some vape shops were affected after the Department of Trade and Industry was stopped from placing tax stamps on vape products.
00:08This is what Vell Custodio reported.
00:13Vape shop businesses were affected by the Department of Trade and Industry's stoppage of placing tax stamps on vape products.
00:21This vape shop is now in danger of closing down because they are selling only two vape brands that have tax stamps.
00:28It's really hard to sell now. It's like it's about to close.
00:34The display in this vape shop is almost empty.
00:37Since DTI confiscated some disposable big vape brands like Flava, their sales have declined.
00:45Sales are really declining now because we can only sell a limited number of products.
00:53That's where it all started because we have a lot of disposable vape brands that don't even have a permit.
01:02Some manufacturers, importers, distributors, and retailers of vape products were forced to lower their formal charges.
01:09These include Snoplus, Instabar, Dencat, Geekbar, Vape Gin, Wave, Boss, Devox Bar, and Uzok.
01:17The so-called vape brands were lowered in Section 4 of the No Tax Stamp under Republic Act No. 11900
01:25or Vaporized Nicotine and Non-Nicotine Products Regulation Act.
01:28Although the selection of vape products is now limited,
01:32it is still a favor for the vape user.
01:34The government will restrict the use of unauthorized documents in the sale of vape products.
01:39I think the vaping smokers in the EOC were removed because vaping is just a smoke in the EOC.
01:46It's just a vape because it's also a paradise for others because there are people who do vaping just to avoid getting sick.
01:57It's really painful because what they are using is cheap but it's painful.
02:02The last two million pesos for the first offender will go to the police.
02:08Four million pesos for the second offender and five million pesos fine for the third time offender
02:13and the cancellation of business permit and licenses.
02:16If we go back, the BIR ordered the placement of internal revenue stamps on all vape products
02:23based on Revenue Circular Order 59-2024 which became effective since June 1.
02:29The absence of internal revenue stamp means that the excise tax will not be paid
02:34and the BIR may confiscate the vape products for tax evasion cases.
02:39The Philippine Standard License is also suspending imported vape brands
02:43while the investigation of alleged smuggling continues.
