00:00We are already planning, in November 2025, a congress that will take place in Campania,
00:10we will do it in Sorrento, we will return to our region, and we hope to have success,
00:16as is the tradition of the Italian Eurology Congresses.
00:19Here, I must say, in Bari, very, very well, 1,500, 1,600 registered, so really an important congress.
00:28We have touched all the technological updates, in robotic surgery, in calculus, in prostate,
00:37and more and more urology, indeed, I would say, is, without a doubt, among the surgical disciplines,
00:43the one that gives more space to these new technologies, thanks to robotics, thanks to lasers, high energies,
00:50so really many, many things.
00:52We see our young people here, our specialists involved, happy, and so I think that this is the right way,
01:00that is, to be able to help in some way, even on such important occasions.
01:05Many foreign guests, friends of the Italian Society of Urology from all over Europe, also from the United States,
01:11so I believe that this is, how to say, the perfect fusion to always be able to hold high-level congresses.
01:18You rightly mentioned some of the topics you touched on,
01:21about how the approach is also changing, also in terms of the contribution that comes from technology,
01:27on two particular focuses, on calculus and on prostate,
01:31how much innovations can help the doctor to intervene on time?
01:38Well, I would say, in order, calculus, certainly we have today the possibility of using increasingly less invasive tools
01:45that allow us to go from the bladder to the urethra, to the kidney,
01:51with tiny instruments that have almost always laser energies,
01:55that allow us to open the obstructions, the stenosis, to break the calculus,
02:00so really almost ambulatory treatments.
02:05The prostate, in a population that is aging,
02:08where 84-85 are reached, if God wills, by a large part of the male population,
02:15obviously requires very advanced technologies here too,
02:19so heat sources, sources of small resection capacity,
02:25so treatments, I would say, to say the least, ambulatory.
02:29So I think we are already able, but every year there are innovations,
02:33just come here to Congress to see the stands with the new technologies
02:37and so I believe that every year we will bring forward new and increasingly advanced solutions.
