00:06For me it's the right direction going to Como, for me it was always the final also that suited me the best

00:13and the final where I had the best result, my victories and my other top tens

00:19it was always going that direction so for me it's the real Lombardia

00:23Do we really know the name of the winner before the race starts?

00:27It looks like it but we still have to do a bike race and a lot of things can happen in 250km

00:34but it looks like we already know but we will see

00:38Do you still feel those 40km solo of El Gran Piemonte?

00:43Yesterday I was pretty sore when I woke up but this morning I'm actually feeling quite good again so ready to go

00:50Motivated?

00:51Very motivated, today is the big one, this week was all about doing everything I could to be good for today

00:57Obviously Thursday was quite a long effort but I think it was if anything confirmation that I'm feeling really good and going quite fast

01:06Simon, 5th at the Giro d'Emilia, it looks like you're in good form, how do you feel ahead of El Lombardia?

01:13It was very tricky conditions there, a bit different today, I think we're going to have a nice day today

01:18so we'll see how that affects the racing but I'm hopeful

01:22What do you make of your 5th place at El Lombardia last year looking at today's race?

01:26Good result, I'm looking for something similar today, I don't really know how the race is going to go

01:34but I hope to be there, I hope to be competitive and do a good ride

01:38Remco, you have always been a favourite at all your races since junior, what is it like to be an underdog?

01:45It's a bit different but I think it's a bit the story of the whole season, going into the Tour for the first time

01:52doing some different races, having the crash as well so I think I'm a bit used to this position now

01:59but of course I'm still motivated and trying to race as a leader, as a favourite and then we try to get the best result as possible

02:08What was your reaction last night when you heard that one of your main opponents, Tom Pidcock, was not starting?

02:15That was really surprising to see Tom not starting because I think he would be really good for today's race

02:24like he wrote himself, he was in good shape now for the last part of the season so it's really a shame not to see him at the start
