00:00Mr. Never Look Back, how do you look back at your success at Tirreno-Adriatico and how can you capitalize on it for today?
00:08Well, for sure a huge success and a dream come true, so a super Tirreno-Adriatico for us.
00:14A little pity with Søren on the last stage with his chain issues in the final there.
00:20If not we would probably have two stages in Tirreno, so a big Tirreno for us.
00:26But today's expectation for me is not that high. I have more expectations for San Remo on Saturday.
00:34How can today's UNO-X Mobility show that this is not a team like the others?
00:40Well, we have a great atmosphere within the team with everyone talking the same language and we're kind of the boys on just a trip.
00:51So a great atmosphere and today we are here with some strong climbers, so I think we will see the jersey today.
00:59What do you know about that finish in Superga?
01:02Me myself, I don't know anything of it other than the results I've seen from previous years.
01:09So a hard climb, so we expect a hard race from Tirreno on.
01:15Former winner of Milano-Torino, what's your memory of this finish at Superga?
01:20Yeah, that was a really special day for me to beat Valverde on the top of Superga in 2019.
01:26It was going really well and one of my favorite victories.
01:29It was an end of the season race and now at the beginning of the season. How do you feel? Can you do it again?
01:35I hope so. Yeah, strange to have it this time of the year, but it's been at this time of the year for the past several years since switching it to more of a sprinter's race.
01:44But I'm really glad they brought it back into Superga and a climb that suits me, so hopefully I can go well.
01:50Is that a big goal for you in this early part of the season?
01:54Yeah, certainly. I mean every opportunity to win is a big goal.
01:58At my age, opportunities to win are getting smaller and smaller, so hopefully I can get a victory here today.
02:05But a really challenging field as well with Carapaz, Yates and several other strong riders.
02:10At your age, how do you see the young guns like Del Toro, Nuragan?
02:14Yeah, I mean they're exciting riders to watch.
02:17And yeah, Del Toro, a real guy who's come onto the scene and he's doing quite well.
02:25But yeah, several other young riders in this field that are going to be in contention too.
02:29After your top 10 in Paris-Nice, are you on top form?
02:34Ah, good, no. I have a good feeling in Paris-Nice.
02:38The team did a good job and now we are here in Milano-Torino.
02:45Is Milano-Torino a big goal for yourself, for your team?
02:49Yes, for the team and for me.
02:52We need rally points. It's a new opportunity for me for the victory.
03:00I am good. My performance in this moment is nice, it's good.
03:08We tried today to win Milano-Torino with Fortunato, Ulissi and me.
03:17Three riders strong and Aurel Martini.
03:20Okay, we tried to win today the Milano.
03:25How much do you like this uphill finish?
03:28Ah, it's hard, no.
03:31Two times. The first climb is maybe full gas for selection.
03:44We tried going with the best in the last climb, full gas.
03:49After Paris-Nice, the feeling is okay. Nice, we tried today, good performance.
03:56Michael, are you on fire?
03:59Yes, I'm super excited for today's stage.
04:02We'll see how well I recover from Paris-Nice, but I definitely want to give it a good crack today.
04:08How much does your win at Paris-Nice boost your morale for Milano-Torino?
04:13Yes, super good for the morale and also for the whole team.
04:18We're really, really excited to be here.
04:20Even though we've had a big block of racing, we want to try and finish it off well.
04:25What is special with this race for you?
04:27The history of the race is what makes it really, really special.
04:31It's one of the oldest races in the world and a lot of great champions of the past have won this race.
04:39And technically, do you like it?
04:42This race is quite straightforward, so technically it's not as difficult as other races.
04:52Jürgen, on paper, do you like Milano-Torino?
04:56Yes, I think this year's edition is really nice and in the deep final it will be a hard race for sure.
05:04How have you prepared for it?
05:06I've been in Spain for a few days to prepare.
05:10I've been training well, but maybe not in my perfect form, but we'll see.
05:15Still ready to go in the mix and fight with the climbers?
05:19I hope so, we'll see. I think also with Ben today we have a good chance.
05:24Either way, I'll be up there and try my best until the end.
05:28Do you already know the climb?
05:30I've never done it before, so we'll see.
05:33It's a new challenge, but it looks hard and we do it two times, so I look forward to it.
05:40After your super job to make Juan Ayuso the winner of Tirreno-Adriatico, is it time for you to win?
05:47I hope so. I will try today to be in the front of the race and if I have good legs, of course I'm going to try.
05:54Is it a good course for you?
05:57What?
05:58Is it a good course for you, the finish in Superga?
06:01I think so, yes. It's quite hard and in the last week in Tirreno I was quite okay in this type of climb.
06:08Let's see how it is today.
06:11Do you intend to take advantage of the first time on Superga to make a first decision?
06:16Probably I'm going to wait in the second lap.
06:19Do you want to win solo or with other people?
06:24I don't know. We will see, but of course win is an option and we try to take it.
