00:00The Philippine National Police dispatched 36,000 police

00:05for the one-week filing of Certificates of Candidacy

00:08for those who ran in the 2025 midterm elections.

00:12According to PNP's spokesperson, Col. Jean Pajardo,

00:16checkpoint operations in strategic areas are now in full swing.

00:21The police commanders are now giving permission

00:25to raise their alert levels

00:27to their respective offices if necessary.

00:30The official explained that PNP is not only focused on national elections,

00:35but also on local elections where there is more tension.

00:40Among the focus of PNP Chief General, Romel Francisco Marbil,

00:46are the private armed groups that are likely to cause fear and chaos.

00:53Last week, during the Command Conference,

00:56in fact, that was the order of our Chief PNP,

00:59that this early, our commanders should know

01:06when the May 12 election comes.
