00:00Hi there, a very different flavour of weather depending on where you are in the UK this
00:05morning with North West Scotland seeing plenty of blue skies as low pressure moves away and
00:12higher pressure builds in. But this all takes so long that we keep the influence of the
00:18low in the East of England throughout the day. Tightly packed isobars, a slow moving
00:22weather front and persistent wet weather moving into the East of England, especially East
00:27Anglia, parts of London and the Home Counties. The South Coast could see some brighter skies
00:34at times, a few showers coming into the South West as well as Wales. But it's going to feel
00:39thoroughly miserable I think first thing across the East of England, particularly Norfolk,
00:43Lincolnshire, parts of Yorkshire with those outbreaks of rain and a strong gusty wind
00:48as well as thick low cloud. North West England as well as Western Scotland and Northern Ireland
00:53seeing the best of any bright blue skies first thing. It will feel fresh first thing
00:58with temperatures of 8 to 10 Celsius and a fair old breeze coming in from the North East.
01:03Now that's going to bring some showers into North East Scotland but I think the Northern
01:08Isles mostly staying sunny through the day and we'll see plenty of dry weather as well
01:13for the West of Scotland and Northern Ireland. But there will be showers moving into the
01:17West Coast of Wales, parts of Cornwall and Devon at times. Variable amounts of cloud
01:23for Western England and Wales, mostly it's drier and brighter than it has been. But in
01:28the East of England, well we keep those spells of rain that could just fringe into parts
01:32of the Midlands by the afternoon as well. And that gusty wind, it's going to make it
01:36feel raw, 13 Celsius at best on the North Sea coast. Whilst in the sunshine further
01:42West, 17 Celsius is possible. Clear skies are plenty across Scotland and Northern Ireland
01:48through the evening, whilst much of England and Wales see cloudier conditions. Some of
01:54that cloud actually edging a bit further West for a time, perhaps bringing a few spots of
01:57rain to Wales, central Southern England or even the South West by the end of the night.
02:02Most frequent showers will be across East Anglia and the South East. That's going to
02:06keep temperatures in the double figures whilst it's going to be a much colder night for Northern
02:09Ireland and Scotland as winds begin to decrease. High pressure building here, that's why we've
02:15got plenty of sunshine emerging through Wednesday whilst we keep a weather front, a weak front,
02:21but we keep that close to the South East through the day. So frequent showers actually coming
02:27into the East and South East of England, especially around the Wash, East Anglia for example,
02:32perhaps the East Midlands. Cloudier skies as well for the South and South West as well
02:37as parts of Wales. But North West England, Western Scotland, Northern Ireland, again
02:42seeing the lion's share of sunny skies and feeling pleasant enough with temperatures
02:46into the mid-teens. Another fine day, more widely so on Thursday and perhaps into Friday
02:53for many of us before low pressure returns for the weekend.
