00:00Our corn is done, so we should take that off the grill, and let the potatoes continue to roast in this foil.
00:10Whoo! Phew! Fire, fire, everywhere there's fire! Ooh, I should close this thing.
00:18Manja, manja, bon appetit, let's eat! It's time for...
00:24Tang's Cooks! Bonja, manja, bon appetit, let's eat! It's time for Tang's Cooks!
00:32It's time, it's time, it's time once again!
00:35Just because Labor Day has passed, doesn't mean grilling season's over. No, no, no.
00:42While the weather's still a little warm and nice, a nice, quick grill session's always nice.
00:50And I got a T-bone, and it's tricky to cook a T-bone, so let me fire up the grill.
00:56Now we have to fire up two burners, and keep one burner low.
01:00It's a sear and roast method that we're going to use.
01:05So we have to get the grill, and you know, cooking a T-bone can be tricky, so can be lighting the grill.
01:11Yes, it's tick, tick, tick, tick, tick, tricky.
01:16It's tricky to light the grill sometimes, there we go.
01:19We're going to spray a little bit of cooking spray on the grates, because that's going to make the food even better.
01:30The food grate is to put some cooking spray on the grates.
01:34La, la, la, la, la, la.
01:37We're going to put our little corn on one of the grates over here.
01:45You see the corn? There we go.
01:48And now, people have told me that skewering potatoes is fine, but you know, it's better to put it in foil.
01:56All right, here we go.
01:58Here is our T-bone. Doesn't this look nice?
02:01Quite nice. It's going to be a sear and roast method, so we're going to put it on the high heat first.
02:09We're going to put a little oil on it, a little olive oil.
02:14All right, we're going to brush a little olive oil onto our steak.
02:20Yes, yes, and of course, we're going to use our favorite spices, you know, the accent.
02:27Oh, look at that, there's a little burn, a little flare up.
02:32A little accent.
02:36We've got this steak seasoning, too, that we're going to put on here.
02:41Perfect for steak.
02:44And just a little bit of garlic.
02:49All right.
02:51We're going to close the grill up, and we're going to let it sear for about two minutes.
02:56While the grill sears, we're going to get our potatoes ready.
02:59Now, someone told me cooking this way makes the potatoes better than the skewer,
03:03so I'm going to take a big piece of foil, a big ass piece of foil,
03:10and place the potatoes, which have been soaking in spices and oils for about an hour.
03:21And we'll cook them up even better. Look at that.
03:25La, la, la, la, la, la, la, la.
03:27Sploo-doo-doo, sploo-doo-doo, sploo-doo-dee.
03:32There we go.
03:33Now we have to wrap this foil up nice and tightly.
03:36Nice and tight, nice and tight.
03:39Going to make it feel just right.
03:42Nice and tight, nice and tight.
03:44Going to make it feel just right.
03:47Flip the steak. Ooh, how'd that get over here?
03:49We'll flip the steak, so turn the meat around.
03:54Cook on other side now.
03:58We're going to do the same process we did before by putting some olive oil on it
04:07and our favorite spices.
04:13We can put a little olive oil on our corn here too.
04:17Of course, accent. Yay, accent!
04:22A little bit of garlic powder.
04:25Ooh, and of course the steak seasoning.
04:30Again, we'll cook this for about two minutes,
04:33and then we'll have to move it to the indirect heat.
04:39Look at the fire kiss that steak.
04:42We're going to move it to indirect heat for about 15 minutes.
04:46We'll check it in periodically, but we're looking for a certain temperature, of course.
04:50We're going to cook it medium rare, as all steaks should be.
04:54Mm-mm, doesn't this look good?
04:56Let's check in. It's been about five minutes.
04:59We'll flip these potatoes.
05:05We'll turn the corn.
05:10We'll flip the steak.
05:15And we'll close it up.
05:18Mm-mm, mm-mm, mm-mm.
05:21Grilling, grilling is quite thrilling.
05:24All right, this steak has been cooking on indirect heat, so let's check our temperature.
05:44Flip all the way through.
06:00Let's see, this is probably the fattiest part.
06:03Let's see our temperature.
06:09All right, I think it probably needs about another minute on the grill, so we'll keep it there.
06:15Just make sure it gets to medium rare.
06:18Meanwhile, we'll turn our potatoes again.
06:24Boy.
06:33One little last kiss.
06:36Bring it closer to the medium rare we're looking for.
06:43All right, I think we got it.
06:45I think we got where we want to be.
06:49Oh, yeah, we got there.
06:50All right, so we're going to pull this off, and we're going to let it rest for about five minutes.
06:54And when we let it rest, we're going to put some garlic butter on it.
06:58Okay, here's the steak.
06:59It's resting quite nicely.
07:02Where's my butter spoon?
07:05Butter spoon, butter spoon, there it is.
07:08Okay, we're going to take our butter spoon.
07:11It's a better spoon with the butter spoon.
07:13We're going to put a little bit of garlic butter on here.
07:17Spread it all around.
07:20And then what we're going to do is we're going to put a little bit of foil on this to tent and keep it warm.
07:27We're going to put a little foil over the steak until we're ready to dig in.
07:37I don't know about these potatoes.
07:38This doesn't look very good.
07:41Yikes.
07:43Let me turn off the grill.
07:54You talk about hot potato, look at that.
07:59Okay, stamp this out.
08:02I didn't know foil could catch on fire.
08:15All right, time to plate the meal.
08:20Time to plate the meal.
08:23Let's see how these potatoes came out.
08:25We got that foil fire.
08:27Let's see.
08:29Time to plate the meal.
08:34Time to plate the meal.
08:38Well, well, well, they look actually quite nice.
08:40Look at that.
08:42Look at that.
08:43Those potatoes came out nice.
08:46Let's throw some salt on them, of course.
08:50Those came out nice.
08:52Time to plate the meal.
08:57Time to plate the meal.
09:01Time to plate the meal.
09:04Throw a little salt and pepper on here, too.
09:06The wind took that one.
09:09Time to plate the meal.
09:12Those potatoes look like they came out real nice.
09:14Some of them charred up a little bit, got blackened.
09:17But, hey, you know, that's all right.
09:25Solid.
09:27A little easier than doing the skewer method.
09:31Of course, we got our corn on the cob, always good on the grill.
09:40And now this T-bone steak, which looks quite juicy.
09:46Look at that.
09:51Quite juicy, indeed.
09:53So let's dig in.
09:57Manja, manja.
10:02Cooked a little bit more medium well, medium rare.
10:08But willing is an inexact science.
10:12Got a little dinner steak, but you know what?
10:14It still tastes very good.
10:16Yes, you know, cooking a T-bone steak on a grill is tricky.
10:19And if you have any other methods, any other foods I should cook, leave a comment down.
10:24Email me. Email me the recipes.
10:27Grilling season's nearing an end, but I still accept grilling recipes.
10:31You never know, I could make another one.
10:33And I like getting outside to cook every now and then.
10:37And, of course, fall's coming, so think of some fall recipes.
10:41I'm njtank99 at gmail.com.
10:44And, of course, don't forget manja, manja.
10:49Bon appétit.
10:52Let's eat.
10:54If you live in an apartment complex that has a grill or you use a communal grill, it's only common courtesy.
11:02You scrape down the grill when you're done.
11:07There's a tank tip for you to take home with you.
11:10And for you, the people who said I didn't do it.
