01:14Before talking about the relationship of the blessed grave of Prophet Yusuf,
01:19let me tell you the story of Prophet Yusuf.
01:21Prophet Yusuf is one of the initial messengers of the Bani Israel.
01:25Prophet Yusuf is the son of Prophet Yaqub,
01:28the grandson of Prophet Isaac and the great-grandson of Prophet Abraham.
01:33His mother Raheel, the younger brother of Prophet Yusuf,
01:36passed away at the time of the birth of Bani Amin.
01:39Allah Almighty had blessed Prophet Yaqub with twelve sons,
01:43but Raheel had two sons, Yusuf and Bani Amin.
01:47Prophet Yusuf was as beautiful as his mother.
01:51His father loved him very much and he did not separate him from himself.
01:56It is narrated that the beloved wife of Prophet Yaqub, Raheel,
02:00had also made a special will for him.
02:02Now he was the son of his mother and ten years younger than his stepbrothers.
02:06Another reason for the intense closeness and love was that
02:09Prophet Yaqub had also seen the shining light of Prophethood
02:12on the forehead of Prophet Yusuf.
02:15Allah Almighty has mentioned the incident of Prophet Yusuf in Surah Yusuf,
02:19which is one of the 111 verses of the Holy Qur'an.
02:24The incident mentioned in this Surah is called
02:26Ahsanul Qasas, i.e. the best incident.
02:29In fact, this preceding incident is the result of jealousy and pride,
02:33the incitement of egoism, lessons, wisdoms,
02:36discourses and advice, human errors and accidents,
02:40good and bad, patience and steadfastness
02:42and with acceptance of Allah Almighty's justice,
02:45mercy and kindness.
02:47The interesting and beautiful ways that have been presented
02:51are a guide for the world and for humanity.
02:55It is narrated that when the Holy Prophet, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him,
02:58was in Mecca for a pilgrimage,
03:00and the news of the Holy Prophet, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him,
03:03reached Medina,
03:05the Jews there sent a few of their men to Mecca for this work,
03:09that they should go and test the Holy Prophet, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him.
03:12They asked in a funny way,
03:14if the Holy Prophet, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, is a true prophet,
03:17then please tell us which messengers were they?
03:20One of their sons was taken from Syria to Egypt,
03:23and the father died crying in his grief.
03:26Actually, the Jews chose this question because
03:29it was not well known in Mecca.
03:33Because at that time there was no one from the People of the Book in Mecca,
03:36so the Torah and the Gospels could be a part of this story.
03:41The whole of Surah Yusuf was revealed on their question,
03:44in which the whole incident of the Holy Prophet, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him,
03:47and the Holy Prophet, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, is mentioned.
03:50And it is mentioned in such detail that the Torah and the Gospels are not so detailed.
03:53Therefore, narrating them was an open miracle of the Holy Prophet, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him.
03:57Viewers, the Holy Prophet, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him,
04:00had not yet reached the age of maturity when he saw a dream,
04:03where he said to his father,
04:05O father, I have seen eleven stars, the sun and the moon,
04:08and they are all prostrating to me.
04:10When the Prophet, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, heard the dream of his son,
04:13he understood that when he grows up, he will have a great position from the side of Allah.
04:16Therefore, he was afraid that the stepbrother of Yusuf would guess his greatness
04:20and come under the influence of the devil and become his enemy,
04:23and cause him no harm.
04:25Therefore, he said, dear son, do not mention this dream to your brothers.
04:30It should not be that they do any fraud with you.
04:33There is no doubt that the devil is an open enemy of man.
04:36Surah Yusuf
04:37Some commentators have written that when Yusuf, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him,
04:40was narrating a dream to his father,
04:42the stepmother was listening to the conversation from the back of the door.
04:45When the stepson came home,
04:47he told him about the dream.
04:49As it is, Yusuf, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, used to be a poet.
04:52Therefore, this incident caused him a lot of trouble.
04:55Therefore, it was not acceptable for his stepbrother to go ahead of him in glory and status.
05:00Therefore, all of them decided to separate Yusuf from his father.
05:05They said to each other that either kill Yusuf or throw him in some country.
05:10Then father's attention will only be on you,
05:13and after that you will be in a good condition.
05:15One of them said, do not kill Yusuf,
05:17but put him in the bottom of a blind well,
05:20so that a caravan comes and takes him away.
05:22If you want to do something, do it this way.
05:24The commentators write that the suggestion to put Yusuf in the well was given by the stepbrother.
05:29The next day, ten brothers came to the father and said,
05:32Father, why don't you trust us about Yusuf?
05:37We are his well-wishers.
05:39Tomorrow you must send him with us to eat well and play well.
05:43We are responsible for his protection.
05:45Hazrat Yaqub said,
05:47This matter makes me sad that you take him away,
05:50and it is also a fear that you become oblivious to him in the game and eat him like a wolf.
05:54He replied,
05:56Even in the presence of a powerful community like us,
05:58if they are eaten like wolves,
06:00then we are absolutely useless.
06:02The next morning, before leaving,
06:04Hazrat Yaqub again reminded those ten sons of Yusuf's protection.
06:09Hazrat Yaqub went with them for a long time.
06:12As long as the father was with him, he kept his brother in his arms.
06:16But as soon as they were away from the eyes,
06:18they threw Yusuf down from his lap and started beating him.
06:22All of them were heartbroken.
06:24At this time, once again, the elder brother felt mercy in the heart of the Jew.
06:27He said,
06:28Don't waste this child like this.
06:30There is a well nearby, put him in it.
06:32If a snake bites him, he will die.
06:35And if he is alive,
06:36then maybe some forgotten caravan will come here and take him with them.
06:40In this way, your goal will be fulfilled.
06:42Everyone agreed with what the Jew said.
06:44This is how it is described in the Quran.
06:46Then when he took him with him,
06:48and everyone decided to throw him into the deep well,
06:53we sent the same message to Yusuf,
06:55that surely such a time will come when you will warn them about their behavior
06:59and they will not be able to recognize you.
07:01It is narrated that at that time, Yusuf was seven years old.
07:05Imam Fartabi also said that
07:08when Yusuf was put in the well,
07:11he was an immature child.
07:13However, in Tafseer Ibn Kaseer,
07:15it is written that he was seventeen years old,
07:16while some commentators have written that he was twelve years old.
07:19Imam Fartabi and other commentators have described the incident of putting Yusuf in the well
07:25in such a way that when they started putting him in the well,
07:27he got stuck in the mud of the well.
07:29His brothers tied his hands.
07:31Yusuf asked his brothers for mercy,
07:33but he got the answer,
07:35call the eleven stars that worship you,
07:37they will help you.
07:39Then they put him in a drum and hung him in the well.
07:42When they reached the well, they cut the rope of the drum.
07:44Allah protected Yusuf.
07:47He did not get hurt because he fell into the water.
07:49He saw a rock near him and he sat on it.
07:53In some traditions, Allah commanded Hazrat Jibreel
07:57and he made Hazrat Yusuf sit on the rock.
08:00Hazrat Yusuf stayed in the well for three days.
08:03The Jewish brother hid from the other brothers
08:05and brought water and food for them daily
08:07and brought it to them through the drum.
08:09After putting Yusuf in the well,
08:11he was worried about what to answer his father.
08:13So he killed a goat
08:15and put its blood on the dress of Hazrat Yusuf
08:18and went to his father at the time of Isha.
08:21He said,
08:23Father, we were all running
08:25and we had put Yusuf near the luggage.
08:27A wolf ate him.
08:29And why did you start believing us
08:31no matter how true we are?
08:33The commentators write that they had stuck the shirt in the blood.
08:37But they forgot that if the wolf ate Yusuf,
08:40how would the shirt be safe?
08:42Hazrat Yaqub saw the shirt
08:44and realized that he was lying.
08:46The Prophet said,
08:48My sons, what kind of a wise wolf was he
08:51that he ate Yusuf in such a way
08:53that the shirt did not tear and he was safe.
08:55The Prophet said,
08:56This is not the truth.
08:58Rather, you have made up this thing from your heart.
09:00It is better for me to be patient.
09:02And what you say about it,
09:04it is required from Allah.
09:06The commentary of the Qur'an is also in the mercy of Allah
09:08There was a caravan going from the country of Syria to Egypt.
09:10Forgetting the way,
09:12that uninhabited jungle reached.
09:14The people of the caravan were in search of water.
09:16One person, Malik bin Dhabar,
09:18reached the well.
09:20He put a pole to get water.
09:22Hazrat Yusuf caught the rope of the pole.
09:24Malik bin Dhabar pulled the pole up
09:26seeing it heavy.
09:28But when he saw a nine-year-old boy with the pole,
09:30he shouted with joy.
09:32Oh, it is a matter of great joy.
09:34This is a very good boy.
09:36In the Hadith of Shab-e-Meraj in Muslim,
09:38The Prophet said,
09:40When I met Yusuf,
09:42I saw that Allah has given him
09:44half of the beauty of the whole world
09:46and the rest
09:48is distributed all over the world.
09:50The stepbrother used to bring food every day.
09:52That day when he came to the well
09:54and did not find Yusuf,
09:56he called his brothers.
09:58Everyone went to the caravan people in search of Yusuf.
10:00And told them that the boy you have
10:02is our slave.
10:04Now he is useless for us.
10:06You can buy him if you want.
10:08The caravan people were in a strange place.
10:10They were ready to buy him out of fear of the brothers.
10:12Hazrat Ibn Masood
10:14and Hazrat Ibn Abbas
10:16said that
10:18those brothers sold Yusuf
10:20for twenty dirhams and
10:22distributed two dirhams to each other.
10:24The brothers stayed there until the caravan left.
10:26Some went far with them.
10:28He told them to tie him up.
10:30He was afraid that
10:32he would not reach his father.
10:34The caravan people sold Yusuf
10:36in the Egyptian market.
10:38Ibn Kaseer.
10:40It is in Tafseer-e-Qurtubi that people
10:42started increasing the prices.
10:44So much so that
10:46gold equal to the weight of Yusuf
10:48silk equal to the weight of Yusuf
10:50and silk clothes equal to the weight of Yusuf
10:52were sold.
10:54The person who bought Yusuf
10:56was the minister of the kingdom.
10:58He was in charge of the treasury and affairs of the kingdom.
11:00It is narrated that his name was
11:02Atfeer bin Ruhaib
11:04and his wife's name was
11:06Rael bint Ramabeel.
11:08In those days, Rayan bin Waleed was the king of Egypt.
11:10Ibn Kaseer.
11:12However, many commentators have written
11:14that the name of the wife of Yusuf
11:16is Zulaikha.
11:18He happily brought Yusuf home
11:20and advised his wife
11:22to keep him with love and affection.
11:24It is mentioned in the Holy Quran
11:26that the person who bought him
11:28should keep him with love and affection.
11:30It is very possible that he will benefit us
11:32or we can make him our son.
11:34Thus, we put the feet of Yusuf
11:36on the land of Egypt.
11:38Prophet Yusuf was living in the palace
11:40with great peace and contentment.
11:42Beloved Egypt was very impressed
11:44by your honesty, purity,
11:46truthfulness and generosity.
11:48But now Allah had to
11:50test Prophet Yusuf more.
11:52Only a short time had passed
11:54that you reached the age of youth.
11:56Ibn Kaseer's wife Zulaikha
11:58was very impressed by your beauty.
12:00As time passed,
12:02her intentions began to change
12:04and she started flirting with you.
12:06It is mentioned in the Holy Quran
12:08that the woman who was in the house
12:10was forced to close the door
12:12and said,
12:14Come.
12:16She said,
12:18Allah's protection is my master
12:20who has kept me with respect.
12:22I cannot do such injustice.
12:24When Prophet Yusuf was trapped
12:26and was about to commit a sin,
12:28he ran to the door to get out.
12:30Zulaikha ran after him to catch him.
12:32The back of his shirt
12:34fell into his hand.
12:36As soon as he pulled it towards him,
12:38it tore.
12:40When Prophet Yusuf came out,
12:42the beloved of Egypt was standing in front of him.
12:44Zulaikha also came out behind him.
12:46When she saw her husband standing at the door,
12:48she became innocent
12:50and accused Prophet Yusuf.
12:52The only punishment for her
12:54is to be imprisoned
12:56and given a painful punishment.
12:58When Prophet Yusuf saw
13:00that the woman had accused him,
13:02he clarified the situation
13:04and said,
13:06She was forcing me to fulfill
13:08my sexual desires.
13:10In front of the beloved of Egypt
13:12was a wife who was accusing
13:14Prophet Yusuf of adultery.
13:16On the other hand,
13:18Prophet Yusuf was the one
13:20who was accusing Prophet Yusuf of adultery.
13:22According to the Holy Quran,
13:24one of the women's family members
13:26testified that if her shirt
13:28is torn from the front,
13:30then she is a liar.
13:32If her shirt is torn from the back,
13:34then she is a liar.
13:36When Prophet Yusuf saw her shirt
13:38torn from the back,
13:40he said to Zulaikha,
13:42This is your adultery
13:44and there is no doubt
13:46that you women are adulterers.
13:48This is your adultery
13:50and there is no doubt
13:52that you women are adulterers.
13:54In Tafseer Ibn Kaseer and
13:56Mu'arif Al-Quran,
13:58there is a mention of a baby
14:00drinking milk,
14:02which Allah Almighty
14:04granted to Zulaikha
14:06and she gave this
14:08true advice to Prophet Yusuf,
14:10in which Prophet Yusuf's
14:12innocence was proven.
14:14This incident became common
14:16Zulaikha's love for Prophet Yusuf
14:18has become adultery.
14:20We see it as a mistake.
14:22Surah Yusuf Ayat 30
14:24When Zulaikha was fed up
14:26of those women,
14:28she invited them to her house
14:30and when all the women
14:32came to eat,
14:34she gave each one of them
14:36a knife to cut the fruit
14:38and then told Prophet Yusuf
14:40to come in front of them.
14:42When the women saw
14:44that Prophet Yusuf's
14:46innocence was proven,
14:48Zulaikha said,
14:50This is not a human being,
14:52this is certainly
14:54a great angel.
14:56When Zulaikha saw
14:58that these women
15:00were infatuated
15:02with the beauty
15:04of Prophet Yusuf,
15:06she said,
15:08This is the slave
15:10about whom
15:12Prophet Yusuf
15:14was infatuated with.
15:16After this incident,
15:18those women also
15:20started supporting
15:22Zulaikha.
15:24Therefore,
15:26Zulaikha became more
15:28fearless.
15:30So Prophet Yusuf
15:32asked his Lord,
15:34O my Lord,
15:36I like the slave
15:38to whom
15:40Prophet Yusuf
15:42was infatuated with.
15:44He said,
15:46I fear Allah.
15:48When Zulaikha's claim
15:50failed,
15:52he ordered
15:54to put Prophet Yusuf
15:56in prison.
15:58He forced his husband
16:00to put Yusuf
16:02in prison
16:04so that people
16:06would know
16:08that Prophet Yusuf
16:10was infatuated with
16:12Zulaikha.
16:14After this,
16:16Allah accepted
16:18his request
16:20and saved him
16:22from women's
16:24mischief.
16:26On the other hand,
16:28Allah gave him
16:30opportunities
