00:00Hey, get ready. Arctic air is about to blast across the UK making it cold
00:05everywhere with the risk of snow for some as well as heavy rain and strong
00:08winds leading to flooding. So Tuesday morning starts off with spells of rain
00:12across the north of England and Wales, the rest of England and Wales cloudy but
00:16with patchy rain. Brighter further north but very wet and windy for the northeast
00:20of Scotland where there will be gusts up to 70 miles per hour likely and heavy
00:24rains especially across the Northern Isles. Through the afternoon the rain
00:28continues across the northeast of Scotland particularly heavy across
00:31Shetland where it will be slow-moving bringing the risk of flooding there and
00:34winds will remain rather strong. Meanwhile the rest of Scotland as well
00:38as Northern Ireland and Northern England and the northwest of Wales will see
00:42brighter skies but there will be some showers. Further south of that rain will
00:46sink southwards to the south of Wales, the West Country, the Midlands, Central
00:49and Eastern England. A cold day in the north on Tuesday still reasonably mild
00:53elsewhere but into Tuesday night it will be a chilly night everywhere
00:57especially in the north. Wednesday looks like a widely cold day, plenty of
01:01sunshine on the cards though but there will be showers particularly across
01:04northern and western areas.
