00:00Be prepared, the UK is set to turn cold everywhere this week with the risk of snow for some in the aftermath of Hurricane Kirk.
00:08Until then, it's looking like a wet and windy picture across many parts of the UK on Tuesday.
00:13There will be sunny spells but there will be some showers, some of which will be heavy and thundery,
00:18particularly across the south and west where it will be a blustery day.
00:21A windy day for northern parts of Scotland too where there will be showery spells of rain.
00:25And later in the day, some more persistent heavier rain is likely for the north-east of England edging into the south-east of Scotland.
00:32Winds will be light elsewhere across the UK and temperatures will be around average, in fact quite warm across parts of the south-east.
00:39On Wednesday, another day of sunshine and showers across southern parts of the UK.
00:43Meanwhile, the north will be cloudier with outbreaks of rain, heaviest and most persistent across parts of the east where it will be rather windy.
00:50Later in the day as well, there is the risk of some heavy and persistent spells of rain for the south-east of England.
00:55It will be a cold day across northern parts of the UK where there's a risk of snow across the Scottish mountains,
01:01still around average temperatures in the south, but the rest of the week it will turn cold everywhere with overnight frosts and the risk of snow.
