00:00A brief respite from all that wet weather across England and Wales on Tuesday, but how
00:05long will it last for? Let's find out in the forecast.
00:08So as mentioned, Tuesday looks a lot drier and calmer across England and Wales once any
00:13early rain clears from eastern England. There may be the odd isolated shower, otherwise
00:17mostly fine and bright. Meanwhile, across Scotland on Tuesday morning there will be
00:21rain across the north and east that will slowly move its way southwards throughout the day
00:25towards central and southern Scotland and then eventually towards northern England and
00:28Northern Ireland breaking up into showers as it does so. A cool day in the north, still
00:33fairly average temperatures across parts of the south. Now into Wednesday, I'm afraid
00:38more wet weather is on the cards. Now timings are still a little uncertain, but a new low
00:42comes in off the Atlantic from the west or south-west and moves north-eastwards across
00:46England and Wales with again spells of rain. Although moving a bit quicker, but still heavy
00:51downpours falling on already saturated ground would cause some localised flooding issues.
00:56So just be aware of that, particularly around central parts of England. Meanwhile, across
01:01Scotland it looks mostly fine and bright, but northern England and Northern Ireland
01:04will see a band of cloud with a few showers there.
