00:00Hey, it's time for your weekend weather update and it's a tale of two halves.
00:04Saturday looks like the driest day with bright or sunny spells across much of the UK
00:09after a rather chilly and frosty start.
00:11There will be a few showers scattered around, mainly around western and eastern coasts,
00:15the driest conditions for central, southern and eastern parts of England.
00:18Meanwhile, across Scotland, the north and west will be rather cloudy
00:21with showery spells of rain there and feeling rather cool everywhere,
00:25especially across northern areas.
00:27Another cold day in store on Sunday, but also turning incredibly wet and windy from the south-west.
00:33We'll see rain gradually across the south-west in the morning,
00:35move its way north and eastwards across England and Wales
00:39and eventually up towards Northern Ireland as well.
00:41Eastern England perhaps not seeing the rain until after dark.
00:44Now, some heavy downpours are to be expected and falling on already saturated ground,
00:48that means there is the risk of localised flooding,
00:50particularly around southern and western areas.
00:52Winds will be strong as well, especially around the western coast of Wales and south-west England,
00:57with gusts up to 60mph.
00:59Meanwhile, Scotland stays mostly fine and bright,
01:01but the north will be cloudy with a little bit of light rain to begin with.
