00:00The new Philippine Service Fair Secretary will be appointed to the Commission on Elections
00:06and they were allowed to continue the service caravan even during the election.
00:13Luisa Erispe in detail.
00:18Due to the promise of President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. that in the new Philippines,
00:24no Filipino will be left behind, the new Philippine Service Fair, a program of the government,
00:30will continue even during the election.
00:33The National Secretariat of the new Philippine Service Fair said
00:37they plan to approve to the Commission on Elections all the programs of the service caravan
00:43so that it will not be hindered by the election ban.
00:46Of course we will apply exemption to the Commission on Elections by next year
00:52because the ban will start 90 days and 45 days before the election date.
00:57But during the filing until that day, there is no problem because we can still implement,
01:02we are still not covered by the election ban.
01:05But just like what we did during the barangay election
01:08and we had the new Philippine Service Fair last year,
01:12we assured that we will apply exemption to each program.
01:18The National Secretariat insisted that they did this during the barangay and S.K. elections.
01:24That's why they plan to do this during the midterm elections in 2025.
01:29It is important that the service given to the public is not hindered,
01:33especially that they can see that it has a good effect on the economy of the Philippines
01:38to give assistance to the provinces visited by the BPSF.
01:43The movement of the economy has increased in the number of times the assistance of the program has been distributed.
01:49Aside from asking for an exemption to the Commission on Elections,
01:52the BPSF will continue to pressurize President Ferdinand R. Marquez Jr.
01:57and the lawmakers to make the new Philippine Service Fair a law.
02:02We will make use of available resources and persuasion to our House members and to the Senate
02:09to make this one a priority bill.
02:12We would like also to appeal to President Bongbong Marcos
02:15if he can make this bill certified urgent.
02:20Even though some congressmen are against the importance of the program,
02:24they insist that the program should continue
02:28because when it comes to giving assistance, there is no politics.
02:32When it comes to service or assistance, there should be no politics.
02:37We have seen smooth sailing. You have not had a hard time.
02:41We thank the local government for being very participative in our program
02:46and in the whole of the Philippines.
02:48Meanwhile, the new Philippine Service Fair in Davao City was successful on September 5 and 6.
02:54The program distributed around P1.2 billion in assistance to 250,000 residents.
03:01In the coming weeks and months, they are expected to visit Cavite, Pangasinan, and Bicol Region.
03:08Luisa Erispe for Pambansang TV in Bagong, Philippines.
